I find placate more annoying than battlecloak .Pretty sure in 6 months - a year all ships (plasma is already cloaked) will be invisible all the time and pvp will be like that sunk my battleship boardgame where you have to guess where your enemy team is.good side on that is less lag

now Ill go watch on tv some blind people fight...there has to be a sport like that .I know from sto thats the way to do it

The KDF BCs in particular do in terms of -shield cap, -shield regen, and very low shield power just after decloak (it takes time to build up and I've seen weird order of operations things when decloaking particular in the old faw days where 1/2 the shields would be gone b4 decloak visuals finished and shields were up). Still, the Romulans don't have this drawback and I'm a bit concerned they no longer have the -40 power as an offset for having what's basically Fed shield mods. The hull mods are good as well.

Also, the whole pets/NPCs keeping lock on cloaked ships is bs. The only thing that should is the special cloak detection torps, or if the cloaked ship is revealed via an ability like FoMM, Sensor Scan, APB etc. Let's not get started on "pinning" cloaked ships.

the romulan ships are no longer getting the -40 power?

    are you serious?

if thats true guess balance is the furthest thing from their mind eh?

once again i state that there will be nothing but downsides to flying a klingon ship on the klingon faction when you have the option of a romulan ship.

Frankly, I think the only sound advice that one can give new players at this time is to stay away from PVP in STO.
    Science pvp at its best-http://www.youtube.com/user/matteo716

I hate to keep bringing it up, but how is anyone surprised? They want to push all players into playing Roms in the hopes we'll fill up our ship slots with brand new ships, spend our Dil in brand new weapons for our new Rom captains and if at all possible make us invesed in multiple factions. The best and easiest way to do that is to incentivize players with powerful ships and unique faction mechanics of questionable balance. This is like KDF 2.0 in that regard.

Most Warbirds have 40 base power.
Reverted most Warbirds to 40 base power for all subsystems.
*This does not impact the T'liss or the T'varo, which retain a base of 45.

And ArchonCryptic clarifying a couple points on the T'varo
Quick Clarification: The tier 1 T'varo is the one that has the 45 base power to all subsystems and an additional +5 to Engines. We're going to rephrase this in the ship description to 40 base, +5 Weapons, +5 Aux, +5 Shields, +10 Engines in the tooltip description soon, just to avoid confusion.

The T'varo Retrofit (T5) has 40 base power to all subsystems, much like all other T5 warbords currently do. It has the standard Warbird +10 to Weapons and +5 to Engines at this time.
If you feel Keel'el's effect is well designed, please, for your own safety, be very careful around shallow pools of water.
