Download with Pando problem

Did have star trek online on this computer but we had to do a system restore due to problems and i've been trying to re-install but it's not working correctly despite i have followed the steps when it first failed and it still fails. Pando Server is not starting even though my firewall is granting access. i've emailed Pando for help and hoping i can get help on here too..

Hi there. I've tried to re-download Star Trek Online since having to system restore due to problems and now having problems downloading star trek. It keeps saying it can't start Pando due to firewall. I've added the file needed to firewall after having to turn off McAfee, however, it still won't start despite the first time it did the 4GB and now adding Pando to the "allowed programs" it won't start and from "Network and Internet" double clicking on "Pando Media Booster (32-bit)" nothing happens. Nothing is working. Using Windows 7

that sounds like an issue with Pando, have you tried any other methods to download? You can get STO through Steam for example. IIRC, the basic download is just the launcher and a few game files anyway, it's not big, the meat of the game is downloaded through the launcher once that is installed.

If you're having trouble getting a correct or corrupted version from any source, try another.

Thanks for the replies.
I've had a reply from Pando asking me to reinstall Pando which worked but now facing a new problem. I launch the launcher and it tries connection but it fails now and this message shows "The patchclient got a message while it was in a state with no response function" i did download and install STO on another user account on this computer. should I of tried to open STO from there?
