Infusers weren't buffing it anyway. That's not why they made the change. They probably made the change because Infusers was buffing all sorts of things...unlike any other console out there.
Plasma Infusers buffed DEW, DEW DoTs, Proj DoTs, EWP.
Ambiplasma buffed Proj Kin and Proj DoTs.
PrtG buffed EWP.
2pc Harness buffed DEW and DEW DoTs.
Rom Sci buffed like Infusers (still trying to get an answer from somebody if this changed).
If we want to buff our DEW and DEW DoTs - we've got Infusers, 2pc Harness, and Rom Sci consoles...
If we want to buff our Proj DoTs - we've got Ambiplasma (do we still have Rom Sci?)...
If we want to buff our EWP - we've got Particle Generators (do we still have Rom Sci outside of [PrtG] Rom Sci?)...
If we fly Rom and want to buff our Plasma Shockwave - again, we've got Particle Generators...
It brings it in line with other things.
Wish I had seen the notes sooner, mind you, the price of Ambiplasma skyrocketed on the Exchange.
edit:
My Chel Grett runs: Omega Torp, Experimental Beam, 2x Romulan Plasma Mk XII [Acc]x2
Hyper-Plasma Torp, Cutting Beam, 2x Romulan Plasma Mk XII [Acc]x2
4x Plasma Infuser Mk XI
2pc Harness
My JHEC runs: Cutting Beam, Omega Torp, 2x Plasma Torp Mk XI [Acc]x2[CrtH]
Plasma Mine Mk XII [CrtD]x2[CrtH], Hyper-Plasma Torp, Plasma Torp Mk XI [Acc]x2[CrtH]
4x Ambiplasma Mk XI
EWP
2pc Harness (useless for Proj DoTs and EWP - but was planning on picking up the Experimental at T5)
I was planning and still am planning on adding some Romulan DEW into the mix on the JHEC...and yeah, that means I'm going to have to consider splitting Tac Consoles and figure out what to do with the EWP...
...but c'mon, Infusers buffing everything it did was a bit much.
Honestly no, the problem is we have a dozen absolutely useless tactical consoles because of the way things work now. We could get rid of all of dumb-TRIBBLE mine and torpedo consoles that almost nobody uses, and make the remaining tac "energy" consoles synergistic w/ the various mines and projectiles types (and potentially some skills); as to promote diverse weapon layouts instead of the awful boring pure energy builds that prevail today.
The way it is now is really poorly designed, and it encompasses the way Eng and Sci consoles work as well. The whole console system needs a major overpass, 80-85% of the damn things are a complete waste of database space.
They took a step backwards on this one. I wish they'd work on actually fixing poor systems like this instead of TRIBBLE around w/ non-broken relatively well implemented systems like the Emergency power cycling timers.

I find this line of replies sadly hilarious. We put a lot of work into the massive list of fixes/changes above, and ya'll are hung up on the ability to skip our content. =p

Ive mentioned this in the bug department but will mention it here aswell
The following weapons are bugged
Ground weapons
1) Romulan Piercing beam rifle : It fires like a mini gun the secondary attack has no visual effect , also equipping it to your boff causes your boff to fire at a random wall or door changing maps has no effect only removing the weapon seems to stop this effect.
2) Romulan rapid fire pistol : Secondary attack does not do what is in its descritpion it only fires one solid shot does not fire a rapid fire volley as described.
3) Romulan long range minigun : Ive never really seen this weapon because when equipped it looks like a completleyt different weapon and changing maps only changes its appearance to another weapon.
Ive seen this weapon look like a pistol a plasma rifle a phaser rifle a tholian sword and the list goes on and on but you get the point.
Oh and almost forgot the Valdore and a few other ships when you go browsing the ship requisitions look like a T'Liss warbird.
Instead, a small amount of Singularity is generated every second, as long as the ship is in combat and not cloaked.
"BOOOOOO~!!"
That sucks. I was kinda hoping it would work like "Limit Breaks" from the Final Fantasy series. My suggestion is to change it so the "charge" would be based on "hits." Actively firing energy or kinetic weapons should totally factor into building up "charge." Escorts can charge quickly and so can Cruisers broadsiding beam arrays. And "bonus charge" could be added on by using abilities like Fire at Will or Cannon: Scatter Volley, etc. Whether or not you can give bonus based on per shot or per volley is up to you guys, I guess. But I think this suggestion would be far more fair and balanced than just "as long as you're in combat mode."

based on testing so far...it takes 40 seconds of in combat to fully charge the core....at the same time it takes AT LEAST 120 to full deplete it if you dont use a power...so its pretty fair IMO.
The description for the Singularity Specialist trait needs to be changed to reflect the current changes and give a description for the chance rate at X level
At the same time...since the change to how the core generate power....I havent noticed this trait proccing at all.
Edit: just tested it on the mogai with my science fed rom.....went from empty to full charge in less than 25 seconds...fore weapons: plasma torp mk 5 x2, plasma dual beam bank mk 4, aft: Disruptor turret mk 4 [crtD]x2
so it does proc...just the chance of it proccing seems a bit low lol, that or the 60 second CD is just bugging me far too much.

I can't believe you nerfed the singularity system. It was perfect. You already balanced it with lower power levels, etc.
I'm open to possibilities, and will continue to test with these new changes, but you should be careful about listening to Fed/Klink players. If you nerf the Romulans too much, you'll totally undermine all that you have accomplished. I'll post more feedback in the appropriate forum after I've tested these changes more.
Deferi missions give a lot less marks than the Borg space stuff and that worked out fine. As long as Tholian rep isn't a second New Romulus all will be well. If it is, then it's entirely skippable. The Borg ones are the one to base it off of and hopefully they see that.
Other than that, this is generally looking like a good patch and LoR is coming along very nicely guys.
Last time I ran the Deferi missions (Hard ofcourse), it gave me 60 Marks each (non-event hour). Compared to the current suggestion of 15 Marks for Hard Nukara missions.
Nukara missions will now award Nukara Strike Force marks.
Generally 5 for easy missions, 10 for medium, 15 for hard, with bonus marks during reputation event time.
Note that this is just a first implementation, and marks will be added to additional content.
This is just ridiculous. No matter if you add more ways to gain Nukara Marks it still isnt't fairly enough. Not closely enough. It needs to be at least 3x higher in order to be appealing going there. Are you expecting players to grind for the Nukara reputation now instead the Fleet Marks while many of them finish up Fleet Bases?
A new starting player will have to grind 3 reputation missions all over again and giving you 5/10/15 is the lowest setting you could give. Just look at the amount of Romulan Marks in the PvE list.
-Romy Mogai Heavi WarBird do not load BOFFS stations etc every time you have to go to stations and chose the boff if you are in red alert i cant do that.
-Promotions and ranking system do not work , I got subcommander rank but it is still in task window that is not finished (i rich 99000) , have a claiming ship in task window and thats it cant no ship to pickup.
In the beginning there was all and then become nothing
I AM PISSED OFF AFTER 3 YRS. I STILL CAN'T USE OR CHANGE OR DELETE OUTFIT IN 3 OF 5 OUTFIT SLOTS ON MY KLINGON TOON !
[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
This RCS change is really nice but yeah still upset over the bortasqu' being as useless a square tire on a bicycle.
I assume you're talking about the EPtX changes? If so, I fully agree; I'd be jumping up and down with glee over the RCS changes if I didn't see the end of my cruiser days in front of me because of that.
--Promotions and ranking system do not work , I got subcommander rank but it is still in task window that is not finished (i rich 99000) , have a claiming ship in task window and thats it cant no ship to pickup.
this has to do with the testing limit set by the devs.
So i'm to understand that the singularity core now takes ~40 seconds to charge up in combat AFTER the 1 minute cooldown.
So all our new singularity powers are effectively on 1 minute 45 second cooldowns.
Given that we can only use 1 at a time (as they effectively all share this cooldown) do you guys really feel each and every one of these abilities is powerful enough to warrent -10 to all ships subsystems? I would say, given how much better (on paper anyway) matter-antimatter warp cores are than singularity cores (check the dilithium store in game, you will see what i mean) if the powers are going to be on such a long cooldown there should be NO penalty in subsystem power levels.
The only one that came close was the shield heal and you just nerfed that heavily.
Either the 1 minute lockout timer needs lowering to 15 seconds or the -10 to all subsystems needs to go. Or you could just buff the hell out of the singularity powers.
In summary, due to being worse pieces of gear as a whole compared to M/AM cores and the 105 second shared cooldown for all singularity powers, ships that use singularity cores should NOT suffer the -10 to power settings penalty.
On an unrelated note, I'm unhappy my Plasma Infusers will no longer be boosting my DOT effects from my weapons but I understand the reasoning. Will the DOTs now be boosted by particle generators again or will they be unboostable?
Last time I ran the Deferi missions (Hard ofcourse), it gave me 60 Marks each (non-event hour). Compared to the current suggestion of 15 Marks for Hard Nukara missions.
Actually, you received 60 FLEET marks, not Omega marks. The progression of Omega marks on Defera is 5 (Easy), 7 (Medium) and 10 (Hard) not counting reputation bonus.

Plasma is the only one that has a matching Directed Energy and Projectile Weapon.
What game are you playing?
Infusers buffed Proj DoTs...
...Ambis didn't buff DEW DoTs.
Infusers was obviously out of whack with the rest.
Base (without RCS consoles): 8.5 turn rate
2 RCS (XI blue) on holodeck: 10.3 turn rate (half-speed)
" " " " " Tribble: 12.4
what was your engine setting? As that can increase or decrease the turnrate as well.
so..its what number?:
125/100
x/50
x/25
x/25
this is going off the attack setting unless you changed stuff.
either way...nice boost lol
makes me want a recluse that much more....and yet im at just under 300 lobi and 47m ec lol...so far away still haha

So anyways hope this helps you guys some
But I might forgive you if you fix this, reverse changes and add several elite Tholian missions.
Since you "nerfed" the singularity (the reload time was really short when in combat) could you lower the downtime please?
"BOOOOOO~!!"

YEESSSSS finally!
i've been reporting this bug non stop since Season 7 broke it (...again!)
this time, PLEASE make sure it doesn't creep back in again with the next build... or EVER.
this is like pulling a needle out of my rear end i've been sitting on for 6 Months...
Actually, you received 60 FLEET marks, not Omega marks. The progression of Omega marks on Defera is 5 (Easy), 7 (Medium) and 10 (Hard) not counting reputation bonus.
Also, the nukara reputation gives way too low rewards it seems.
Thank you so much for this! I have been waiting for a lower contrast option!

What bugs me is that the dev team nerfed it i mean why nerf something everyones happy with this sounds a little counter productive Imo.
The singularity mechanic was there to offset that -40 power drain, which is really quite bad.
I agree if the nerf is going to stay please remove the power drain
