Liberated Borg Remen Officer

hi.

you guys might consider this a silly question but here goes anyway.

about a year or so ago on star trek online i purchaed the liberated borg bridge officer, however i purchased it when it was still an account wide unlock.

this meant that when i create a fed or kdf i automatically had access to this bridge officer.

my questions are this

1) will i still get this for free on the romulan faction as it is an account wide unlock.
2) if i dont buy the starter pack / legacy pack, will the one being sold in the c-store revert to being a single account unlock.

im asking because if im kind of used to having them on any character so i want to konw if i should buy the pack or not.

    I've asked DStahl and BranFlakes the same question..

    They both elegantly dodged the question, which I can only assume means :

    1: No.
    2: yes
    Don't look silly... Don't call it the "Z-Store/Zen Store"...

    The Liberated Borg Boff from the c-store would be a Romulan, just like the Fed version is human and the KDF version is klingon.

    So, I guess the Reman Boff is in addition.

    That doesn?t mean that they will give us a Romulan Boff... but just sayin'.

    It would be nice to have a definitive answer on this. I'm guessing DStahl and BranFlakes may be being evasive because this hasn't been finalized yet.

    I have the Liberated Borg Engineering Bridge Officer as an account-wide unlock from buying the Digital Deluxe edition of the game back in the day. The new Reman Liberated Borg officer seems to correspond to this, but I wouldn't assume it automatically translates what I've already got to this.

    I'm in the closed beta on Tribble, but the C-Store there doesn't have any way to claim legacy items. So I can neither confirm nor deny anything.

    As a Federation-allied Romulan on tribble right now, I appear to have the ability to purchase any Federation C-store rewards, including the Liberated-Borg Human.

    However, since it's Tribble, I don't have access to my normal Legacy options, so I can't accurately test the account-wide unlocks.

    I too have the account unlock on the Liberated Borg BOff. I employ them with toons from the two current factions. I think ethically, PWE/Cryptic should make a Romulan LiBor BOff version available to players who have these account wide unlocks and then make it a C-Store option for other players in future. The Reman LiBor BOff should be an incentive for purchasing the pre-order packages. After all, it is a Reman and Remans are a premium race unlock in the Romulan faction. Romulans clearly being the primary race, just as Humans and klingons are within their respective factions, should have their own unique LiBor BOff. That's my personal opinion, of course, but I believe the community would look poorly upon a Romulan version of the LiBor account unlock not being made available. Of course, at least on my account, they have revoked the account/faction wide unlock for the Defiant Retrofit (with cloak) that was bought and paid for as such upon release. So,, if my experience is any indication, they may choose to just not do the right thing (from a player's perspective).

    That would be an acceptable solution to the problem. I certainly hope Crptic/PWE, at the very least, follow that approach on the Holodeck (Live) server implementation. Thanks for tsharing that experience.

    Like others I have the Account unlocked Lib Borg Boffs.

    Currently can't access them on tribble, but once an allegiance is picked, I'm able to buy the faction specific single char versions.


    I'm thinking they're gonna do one of two things;

    1. Allow you to claim your allegiances Lib Borg Boff, and to make things interesting, the Reman will be Tactical instead of Engineer.

    2. They won't allow you to claim your allegiances Lib Borg Boff, and the Reman will be an Engineer.

    Does it say/they announced what profession the Reman Lib Borg is?

    OK, I am probably remembering it wrong. I have the account-wide unlock, and I didn't buy it separately. I thought it was part of the Digital Deluxe edition (don't remember where I bought it, might have been straight from Atari). I bought the game after launch, so it wasn't a pre-order.

    I also have the account-wide Photonic Medical Officer, which I think was from the old referral program?

    The fed and kdf borg boff were both in the amazon pre-order. Other wise you bought each separately from the c-store.

    From my understanding the reman borg boff is only account wide if you buy the legacy pack. I see no reason to add it to the amazon pre-order and even if they do they won't add it to those who bought it individually. Once it hits the c-store it will most likely be a one per purchase item like the fed and kdf are now.

    Honestly: I don't think so... Thus far, they havn't been careful about saying "This hasnt been hammered out in stone yet, so I prefer not answering".

    No this was a dodge in the most elegant fashion you can imagine... Or actually more like Neo in Matrix.
