TRIBBLE Maintenance and Release Notes - April 19, 2013

We will be bringing the Tribble server down for maintenance to apply a new update.
ST.30.20130416a.8


General:
  • The Federation mission journal has been updated:
    • A "Wasteland" tab has been added, following the "Klingon War" in progression.
      • This section is a work in progress.
      • Existing missions that now follow "Wasteland" have had their levels adjusted.
  • Replay mission rewards have been scaled for Romulans to match current replay rewards with the Federation and KDF.
  • Night of the Comet: Attempting to go back through time at the beginning of the mission will now succeed.
  • Mind Games: Romulans who ally with the KDF can now complete this mission.
  • Tradecraft: Teamed players should no longer see multiple interacts during the "Confusion Agent" section.
  • Romulan Tutorial:
    • Increased the interact range for the vendors.
    • Updated the visual appearance and ambience of the tutorial.
  • Updated the text for the following Romulan missions:
    • Tradecraft
    • Smash and Grab
    • Memory Lane
    • Mind Games

UI:
  • Traits:
    • Clicking on the traits buttons should no longer occasionally cause the game client to crash.
    • Trait respec is now working as intended.
  • Resolved an issue which sometimes caused the incorrect character to log in.

    [*]Romulan Tutorial:

    This should be good news for any new Romulan players (closed BETA). :cool:

    just curious, is there an eta til tribble returns? ^^ eager to get to playing

    All these great changes, and Tribble still doesn't work on Media Center. *sigh*

    Tribble still down.

    I had managed to just finish Smash and Grab before the patch brought the shard down (KDF).

    So either the website isn't smart enough to to show me my local time on other people posts or no one has posted for almost 9 hours.

    OK not smart enough :D

    Wasn't sure if it was still down, or my dodgey Internet Connection that my ISP claims they are Monitoring, They say "Their is a fault we will monitor your connection for 24 hours and call you back"

    Why can't they just fix it! :D

    Main pc down n managed to borrow another til mines fixed and patched up tribble to start the rom beta n now it's closed 8( anny eta on when its up buy anny chance ?

    i have no idea what that mission was all about i did it so fast as the chat box was tellin me 5 mins till servers go down, so i will be doing it again lol

    I have been having MASSIVE issues with crashing due to corrupt game files, I have been sending tons of Error reports and posted them on the forums but I have been ignored with no response for a solution, I have deleted my entire game install and reinstalled with forced full patches several times, shut down all other programs that run in background unhooked all devices that I don't need and each time I get the same corrupted game install, the game was running smoothly before beta testing. I NEED some answers!

    I have been trying to get it to run smooth again for over 24 hours with very little sleep, I'm on a built by me from dell Parts "XPS 410" It isn't the best computer but it gets the job done till I can replace my gaming rig that died quickly in its sleep of old age.

    It looks like after the patch I can no longer see the rank requirement on the new trait slots.

    I'm also getting a problem trying to patch with a older machine.

    I keep getting:
    Error 36: A File that was locked could not be open for writing.

    Now I have a 35MB file called GameClient.exe.deleteme that isn't in either the holodeck ot Redshirt directories. I tried to delete this file and I get a Write protection error. I have a feeling this is the problem?

    Any Suggestions?

    Are you using Steam? if this next download and install patch round doesn't work I'm going to try downloading direct from STO website

    Only thing I can think of is delete everything, wipe all traces of STO off your PC and start with a fresh install...Its times like this when I am glad all player info is saved on the server side.
    Also post up some specs and error codes if you can, once people like us finally get some attention those might come in handy.
