Don't moan about feds, we haven't seen the KDF pets yet
I can tell you one thing for sure. When the KDF do get theirs I am resurrecting my Tier 5 Vo'qov/ or my Recluse with Energy Syphon & E. Syphon drones, Aceton Assimilator, Plasma Leech and will not blink an eye. And throw on SS and AMS for good measure.
I will suck the life out of the Yellowstone carriers so that the only thing they will get to launch is escape pods.
Giving pets EWP seems like a very bad idea. There's already enough of that stuff on the map, especially when you add in theta radiation. It'll be like flying an obstacle course-- an invisible obstacle course since when there are a lot of pets/plasma/gravity wells on the map the plasma and gravity wells disappear yet you still get stuck in them.
It's a sad state of affairs when everyone's build has to revolve around countering carrier pets instead of, you know, countering the ships that the players are actually flying.
Heck, I USE EWP and I can't even see it most times I pop it. I just Evasive around and hope that it's catching people.
1 EWP alone can (and does) cause some lag. Can you imagine what a bunch of it is going to do?
And how are you expecting to NOT to be completely screwed for movement half the time? A single player using these can utterly dominate with movement control.
I have no lag even with multiple EWPs. I don't know what your computer is though.
I somewhat expect that but considering that most pvp-ers are using elite fleet shields ad nauseum, I'd say it's just fairness and a necessity. I've been caught in another 40 mins match today and it's just boring. Anything reducing tanking (including speed tanking, which is the worst tanking in game) is a good thing. Strong pets against too resilient targets is what you deserve guys. :P
Tractors/movement debuffs have been a hot button issue for a long while now, and people both assault and defend them from a completely misguided standpoint.
They're not anti-escort tools. (On the contrary, escorts are some of the best at dealing with them, since they have an innate defense cushion and access to high-level stun breakers). The ships that really suffer are everything else; ships that can't afford to take iffy skills like PH or ones that rely too heavily on active healing to make their heals perform double duty.
Tractors/EWP do make escorts easier to kill, yes. But they make other ships much easier to kill, and that's the real crux of the matter.

A single hangar can now give you 4 Danubes that have TB 3 (Ltc Skill), Tet Warp Plasma (Not actual DMG, but still equivalent to a Ltc Skill) and free spammable chroniton torpedo.

4x Chron Torp sources **Powers refresh on recast
So 2 nights ago I fought a premade with these Yellowstone pets, thx god I was in my anti-spam boat for pve or it could have been a lot worse.
The Ai on these pet are up there with interceptors they will target u with tractor (#3) and then crop dust u (grey color), I had them usually down to 1 or 2 with my bfaw. Anyone else with no anti spam is face to keyboard in no time.
Cant wait for my kdf pets

"Cryptic Studio’s Jack Emmert (2010): Microtransactions are the biggest bunch of nonsense. I like paying one fee and not worrying about it – like my cellphone. The world’s biggest MMO isn’t item based, even though the black market item GDP is bigger than Russia … microtransactions make me want to die.”
Judging from some Tribble chat I saw the feds will have no room to complain about pets as they now have the ability to build Hold builds as bad as they think the siphon builds are in comparison.
It all balances out as far asnIm concerned since both Drain and Hold builds will take specialized builds to run them.
I'm mainly a fed but I hate the danoobes and yellowpee shuttlets as much as any decent klingon.

Well...dear KDF Minister of Propaganda , I don't think these builds are comparable or equivalent.
Evasive Maneuvers, Engine Battery, Attack Pattern Omega, Polarized Hull...they are very effective against an hold build, especially if added together.
But when for example your weapon energy is reduced to zero, if you don't have a Weapon Battery...then you're ****ed!
Nah, it will a TRIBBLE for Tat level of balance and antipet builds will.be needed by both sides to compensate.
The counters exist to overcome both but alone player will.still be toast without teamwork.
Wow evul! How did you get it? It's a cosmic level of secrecy!:o

Please can someone point me in the general direction of a Energy Siphon build?
Its time to play.
Way more annoying, IMO, is what I whip out on my Jem HEC when I'm having trouble with somebody with good APO uptime. Advanced Interceptors + TBR doff. Seems to work faster than siphons because they're harder to run away from, they bring chrono procs too, and even though they don't drain S & A what I'm really after is cutting their defense bonus.

I hope a KDF fleet reaches high enough level soon in the right skill soon to take screen shots of their sides fleet pets. Really wanting to know what some of them look like.
You think that your beta test was bad?

Ah yes... starfleet. Now there's a fond memory.
Adm. Quinn was kind enough to post me your application interview - Cadet starwrathy.
Needless to say he vouched for you, despite your difficulties at mastering the captains chair!
All fair in love and war bro.
