CE Accolade

It's stupid they still have it that in order to get the CE Accolade, you have to be in first place. Which means you need to be in an escort.

EDIT: Seems Branflakes Misunderstood, this is about the First Place Trophy / Accolade you get doing Fleet Actions.

And that STO has evolved to where its about DPS and Heal Spamming.

    Wait what? I haven't run it yet, but its a 10 person mission and only one of them gets the crystal shard?

    Everyone gets the shard... only one gets the 1'st place.
    Don't look silly... Don't call it the "Z-Store/Zen Store"...

    Azurian is speaking about the accolade for the event. If you participate in the event and defeat it during this special event, you'll get a shard.

    I just placed first on 2 different toons, neither got an accolade or trophy

    *edit I did get some crappy purple mk x and xi gear though

    Just got 1st with a Tactical Starfleet Officer got 2 very rare Mk XI weapons and a accolade along with the Dilithium and a single Crystal Shard. Got no trophy in my inventory.

    I believe the trophy, should you get one, is for your bridge interior. I don't have it since I refused to play the original incarnation of this mission for the obvious reasons.

    Some people ITT have run this event, so a quick question: Does the CE still heal/whatever from torps? Because I would hate to show up in my torp build.

    So it is a competitive event then? Damn. Guess I better bring my TBR and avoid APB and FOMM use.

    im gonna say no cuz both times I ran I went with a plasma torp build on one ship, with ambi-plasma tac consoles and the other with quantum torps and associated things and came in first both times.

    I don't think it does. I use torps on my ships and see alot of other people using torps as well and don't notice any healing so if it does heal from them it must not be much.

    Yes it is. Their are Tholian ships to kill as well as the Crystalline Entity. I have also see some Mirror universe ships appear.

    Also you will be competing with both Klingon and Fed players in it.

    Did either of these toons already have the accolade from the time of the old CE encounter? If so, you won't get them again. If these characters had never done the CE encounter (old or new), then yep, sounds like a bug.

    That's lame that the accolade only goes to the person in 1st place, not like giving everyone who completes it the accolade like before would break the game since all you get is a floor trophy. I could understand if the event was around all the time but since they say it's a limited event that means they are forcing you to grind a lot more then you would have to and hope you get lucky and get 1st place if you want to complete this accolade if you missed it from when the CE event used to be available.

    I just got first place with My Science character in a Vesta... It can be done.

    I got 1st in a B'Rel with a Sci character. Yes it can be done with any ship but you would need to have a lot of luck having other players flying lower damage potential ships and also those players having lower level gear and so on. They need to start applying more then damage as outcome for first place.

    Got first with an eng in a Mirror Vo'quv and the store-bought B'rels, but that was still based on out-damaging everyone. When I tried using an Engineer's Ambassador configured as a healboat, even with TSS3, A2SIF3, ES2, and ET1 constantly either in use or on cooldown, plus my own EPTS2 cycling, plus use of MW and RSF whenever possible, still only got third. Anyone get first based on strengths in stuff besides DPS?

    With my B'rel as a Sci I used all my abilities to tank wile staying close so my weapons did as much damage as possible. Other players attacked from a greater distance not to mention a lot of lower DPS cruisers. With a Fed Tactical I got first using a Breen ship attacking from very very close wile all attack powers had been active allowing me to do massive damage for a short time. When those powers not active I attacked from safer distance and then got close again when powers had been active again.

    Damage is King for getting first place. If their is any other factors to getting first place they play a very very small part so small that they would only give someone first if their is a tie in total damage done.

    Got first place with a Fleet Research Science Vessel Retrofit just healing in a pug.



    And the final score is: no TARDIS, no screwdriver, two minutes to spare: Who da man?! Okay, that's...I'm never saying that again. Fine.

    apparently some players feel the need to ignore their Science officers, and keep firing...so when they take damage a lot by the AOE I just come by and heal them all, and keep healing the players. as they take damage...mind you I was in a group with just TAC's in escorts.

    The next run I did I got first place by healing and shooting in a Regent class. FAW, and TS3 come a long way, while also healing players.

    I got 2nd place in my Tac Andorian ship and first place was won by an ENG in a Fleet Galaxy class.

    It is good that healing is rewarded too. I did the same with my Carrier.
    Let us wear Swimsuits on Foundry maps or bridges please! I would pay zen for that.

    I've placed first on both my fed and kdf sci characters that fly carriers.

    The accolade would be meaningless if everyone got it, since I've yet to see a single run fail yet with this new incarnation.

    I actually managed to get the 1st place accolade on my kdf sci and engineering toon and not on either of my tactical toons. then again i entered pugs so anything's possible

    I have no problem winning first place many times in my cruiser the Bortasqu on my tac and even on my eng. The main advantage I have is that I can just sit in front of the entity slowly moving while unloading with DHC with 10 stack sensor analysis, this gives me the aggro and allows me to tank it, so I get credit for all the healing I have to use on myself, in addition to the credit I get for having DPS higher then many escorts.
