"Critics who say that the optimistic utopia Star Trek depicted is now outmoded forget the cultural context that gave birth to it: Star Trek was not a manifestation of optimism when optimism was easy. Star Trek declared a hope for a future that nobody stuck in the present could believe in. For all our struggles today, we haven’t outgrown the need for stories like Star Trek. We need tales of optimism, of heroes, of courage and goodness now as much as we’ve ever needed them." -Thomas Marrone
My 1st Romulan Character will be a Romulan/Klingon Hybrid female Science Captain (if possible) and her name will start with the T' and end with something sounding Klingon and feminine.
Going with an Alien whose planet was conquered by Romulan Star Empire. Thanks to Hodgkin's Law of Parallel Planetary Development, I will probably take my character's name and ship names from Imperial Japan.
Personally i don't like romulans ( will roll one anyway and call him frank ) but, i like reamens so; reamen tac will call him Dr.Acula and 1st ship RRW Pointy bird
Claudius (also considering Calligula) Roman Emperor names And I might well name my Ship in latin
It's "Caligula," without the double Ls. It was also just a nickname--one that he supposedly didn't care for. Historians typically remember him as Emperor Gaius.
A little pedantic, I know, but I'm a bit of a Roman antiquarian with an emphasis on Caligula/Gaius.
I'm not sure on person or ship name yet. Will finally decide after it goes live. And when I start to make one.
So far I'm sure I will create a Female Romulan, and have a male Reman for a 1st officer. At least this what I thought of so far. Not sure what spec to choose. I'm leaning either more Eng or Tatical.

Think of it more as a co-opt. It's a friendly spreading of Romulan goodness. Plus I touched it up a little, since the black background in the original image wasn't quite black-black as the forums are. :P

Fine, fine as long as its to spread "Romulan goodness".
As you know Alidar jarok was deceived into thinking war with the federation was imenent in 2366 however it was a ruse by tomalak.
Alidar defected to the federation in hopes he could stop the war he argued "That another war with the federation would destroy the empire".
All was for not and alidar comitted suicide only leaving a letter for his family.
After the destruction of romulus and remus due to the hobus super nova the jarok family has come from hiding.
Finding the romulan people split between the klingon empire and the federation and honoring a request left within alidars letter this request will lead R'Shaan to join......To be continued :P

R.R.W. Brak'en. Or D'tervik. Might look into other names, as well. :P
I also named my Klingon ships after Star Trek Legacy ships, in case you were wondering.
Infinite possibilities have implications that could not be completely understood if you turned this entire universe into a giant supercomputer.

"Tacitus" is a Roman name, of course. The other parts, not so much.
