This weekend in the UFP we have many exciting events on tap. Today we have some shuttle PVP going on, it promises to be a good time for everyone.
Sunday we have an accolade hunt going on. I hope to have several groups out there working on there Klingon accolades, and of course. My favorite event of the week, STF Sunday. We had a record turn out last week with 35 captains joining forces to fight the borg!
I think its a fantastic thing, that even in our new website we will be sticking with the Starfleet LCARS look. Something which is inlaid with Trek Cannon.
For those of you who were having issues signing up on our website, or have signed up on our website after 1.am on August the 4th I ask you to try again.
We had a server crash, but luckily our engineers have managed to restore the server, and find the root of the problem, so all should return to normal.
133 members of {UFP} rated the House of Kular (KDF Division) at 91% Approval and Starfleet Operations (FED Division) at 98% Approval. I?m certainly sure that at the next fleet survey we shall see the Imperial Guard gain similarly high approval ratings.
p.s. Imperial Guard was not yet a full division when the survey took place,thus having no data on fleet members approval.

On Another note something which we haven't talked about on these threads; is that we the UFP communicate with other fleets and arrange events.etc. Our Diplomatic Corps, the guys who do this task, have achieved a 100% approval rate from {UFP} membership. Something which is certainly noteworthy.
Not just interested in playing STO but exploring other Trek Mediums? join {UFP}, we play other star trek games from Bridge Commander to Voyager Elite force - we also produce our own Trek magazine titled "The Herald".
I need to give my Romulan character a bit more attention. Especially since the TNG Romulan uniforms got released. I love having my characters being as authentic as possible. Might try to drop by to STF Sunday with him.

This is the 6th in the current series and discusses a couple of updates to our completely custom and unique event system that easily allows members to coordinate their gaming activity. Seriously starting to think that Cryptic should be hiring some of our engineering team as our event tracker has even more features than STO's in-game one :eek:
So I saw a thread where someone had asked who the top 10 STO fleets were. Naturally that is highly subjective there isn't really any universally accepted quantitative way you can say Fleet X is better than Fleet Y since everyone is going to measure themselves differently and different people are going to want different things from a fleet so it really is impossible to measure what fleets are best as it all depends on how you measure them but it did get me thinking about UFP which operates THE IMPERIAL GUARD and what I think makes us one of the best Star Trek gaming groups around.
So, the first few things that came to mind:
5 in-game fleets and support for each playable faction.
Top tier starbase.
An elite group dedicated to STFs and PvP.
More than a dozen dedicated event officers covering all major time zones.
Daily hosted events and regular events with other fleets.
Game guides for members of all experience levels.
We have our own website, forum, mobile app, team speak server and game servers.
We self publish our own Star Trek magazine featuring exclusive interviews with the Star Trek Online developers.
In partnership with Activision and CBS we also have a multi-game digital publishing deal allowing us to provide all members with FREE and completely legal copies of Elite Force Holomatch and RPG-X.
More than 10 years experience in the field of Star Trek gaming.
Over 700 active members representing more than 40 different nationalities.
In addition to Star Trek Online we also actively support the Star Trek Armada series, Star Trek Bridge Commander and the Star Trek Elite Force series.
We actively support roleplaying via SIMMs, Star Trek Online and RPG-X.
We were also voted one of the top 100 clans in the world a few years back, the only Star Trek gaming clan featured in the list I might add, again though it is subjective.

The clue really is in the title for this one, every Friday plays host to PvP events and this one is no different.
Melee-a-thon 2
Bring your Federation aligned characters and their Bat'leths, Lirpas and Swords to these themed melee PvP events this Saturday.
Call to battle and glory!
This Saturday earn Fleet Marks, Nukara Marks and do STF runs with your Klingon aligned characters.
Joint Strike Assault - Part 4
The Dominion have returned and their target is none other than Earth itself, can you hold the line or will the Federation fall on your watch? Part 4 of the exciting episodic Joint Strike Assault series is this Saturday.

Sundays are STF Sundays! Hosted STF runs throughout the day.
Joint Fleet Event with 2nd Fleet
This Sunday we're hosting a joint wargames event with 2nd Fleet.
Late night STFs
The sun might go down but the STFs keep going all through the night.
The next Fleet Meeting and UFPAC (United Federation of Planets Award Ceremony) have been announced! The Fleet Meeting will take place on Friday the 27th of September 2013 and the UFPAC will take place on the 28th of September 2013.

I believe guests are completely welcome to attend this one, so those interested in seeing a taster of our community get on teamspeak and wait for the stream. (obviously on 28th of september, not at this current moment )
The UFPAC is always one of the biggest events on the calendar even though it isn't a gaming event. Obviously if people just want to focus on gaming they are free to but for me one of the biggest benefits of being in a gaming clan is being able to socialise with people that don't just share the same interests as you but are passionate about them.
