Once a KDF mission structure for levels 1 - 50 are in place, they can always be tweaked.
At least people can start a KDF character and get them to max level...it's almost like a real faction!

This is discouraging for the future Romulans faction. It leads me to believe that the "unique" content Romulans are supposed to get will be repurposed Fed or KDF stuff - or I guess if a Romulan joins the KDF, repurposed KDF that was repurposed from Fed?

Im happy we got the content and are closer to a complete faction experience. I just wish they had gone the extra step and tweaked the content for the complete KDF experience it cpuld offer in gameplay.
It's funny, because every time people started talking about how to make Klingons a 1 to 50 faction, converting the Fd missions that made sense was right on top of the list. Now they've done that people are complaining...
To be fair what many people expected was the same basic story and maybe even the same settings but told from a KDF viewpoint and with story elements and actions that made sense as a KDF player. Not the same exact dialog/actions and stuff with Admiral replaced by General. If the former is the case then cool if the latter is the case then boo.
With the Rapier mission in general I'd have rather seen them use the ship-replacement tech they used in Doomsday Device. Have me send my cloaked ship back through the wormhole and then I take the Rapier out and we warp off as the last step of the mission which would then complete when we zone into the Qo'Nos system.
Well this is more than slightly worrying, if this happens to be something that they intend to change then fine I just hope it doesnt end up like the dialogue cloak bug that's been around for far too long.
Been looking too. So far they need some cleaning up. could really use some better dialog here and there. Some missions should re-write not to badly. I'm ok with some re-authoring some of the missions as KDF content.
Just as long as its not all of the KDF's new content! UHG! that would be.. I don't know.. Dissapointing, as in temper tantrum Hulk grabs Loki in the Avengers movie by the legs and proceeds to swing him overhead back and forth into the floor.
Hulks words were "Puny God". I'm with the green guy on this. Puny.
Hoping there's better to come. Final decision happens after we see it all.
I am hoping we get more than recycled missions and shared adventure zones. The whole idea of play a faction is have to have unique content to play, otherwise what is the point of playing the faction. They want the KDF and Romulan factions to make money they need to put a decent effort into it, not this sloppy shortcut.
As far as they can be phased out later, how long has Dan Stahl promised KDF content then gone back on his word? Unfortunately I don't trust a word they say, their actions speak louder than their words. Words are cheap.
Sorry Cryptic you've lost my positive attitude for this expansion, want to earn it back do a nice big Dev blog on the KDF only and tell us what unique (as in only KDF faction) content we are getting?
Support the Game by Supporting the KDF, equality and uniqueness for all factions!
According to the Cryptic Legacy of Romulus blog post #2 the real Klingon content won't be tested till early May. Same with later half Romulan content. This is just foreplay.
I can give you the option to tell Kurland that you're not going to give up the Rapier, at which point something like the aforementioned clip would happen and you would fail the mission (and have to start it over again).

Why fail the mission? Just have the ship blown up - and both sides live with the decision.

I don't mind some copy/paste type missions. At least it fills the void so you don't have to grind missions or clusters just to get level up. I'm looking for some of the rewards as well. They already said some new missions for KDF only will show up as well. At the start up. I will go through them on my KDF to see what rewards I get. Hope to see some gear upgrades. And some new stories.

DS9 turning hostile would be awesome! for missions, there should be a version of it made thats like our starbases, an actual unit, not a chunk of map asset with turrets.
small faction based changes to these repainted fed missions would go a LONG way toward their acceptance
Under the command of Sisko I would tend to agree, but this is Kurland we're talking about here. On any given day of the week he can't even seem to keep his command for more than two minutes, I doubt he could even hit the broadside of a barn.
I can give you the option to tell Kurland that you're not going to give up the Rapier, at which point something like the aforementioned clip would happen and you would fail the mission (and have to start it over again).
that would be awesome!!! I would rather more missions had things like that in them!!!
On a different note, at 1:52+ it looks like the Neg is shooting some kind of green photon torpedo (of course you can simply pretend for it to be cannons). That might be an interesting Klingon only weapon ^.^
I can give you the option to tell Kurland that you're not going to give up the Rapier, at which point something like the aforementioned clip would happen and you would fail the mission (and have to start it over again).
You could simply end up suffering too much damage and being forced to retreat. Voila: Rapier is in Kurland's hands and I'm not just following Kurland's orders.
That'd feel fine for a KDF.
TOIVA, Toi Vaxx, Toia Vix, Toveg, T'vritha, To Vrax: Bring in the Allegiance class. Toi'Va, Ti'vath, Toivia, Ty'Vris, Tia Vex, Toi'Virth: Add Tier 6 KDF Carrier and Raider. Tae'Va, T'Vaya, To'Var, Tevra, T'Vira, To'Vrak: Give us Asylums for Romulans.
I can give you the option to tell Kurland that you're not going to give up the Rapier, at which point something like the aforementioned clip would happen and you would fail the mission (and have to start it over again).
As has been mentioned, would it be possible to have Kurland simply drive you away? Or destroy the Rapier to keep it out of your hands? (is the rapier continuing to exist a necessary plot element?)

Or actually allow us to destroy it within a time limit that we have to beat or fail the mission by being chased off possibly. (like the RSE daily mission).
Even in being chased off we could complete the mission and only fail the optional of capturing/destroying it.
As long as we can start over, run the mission to that point to try again and the encounter itself is not too difficult to be unfun but too easy to be the same.
I would love the challenge and the optional could offer bonus rewards.

If this is the Devs version of screaming and throwing things, does it mean we have to respond with poetry?

Kind of like the temporary cloaking bug? I'd be very very wary of bugs like that being found on Tribble. They tend to go live.

I know it's just copy pasta, but it's something. Something > Nothing. I am very curious to see how this is evolving.
It is content, though I do hope they have more tweaking left to do to give it a good KDF feel to it.

Don't know about you Roach but I would be happy to see Preemtive Strike as a KDF mission.

Khemaraa sends.
The optimist in me hopes they are aware that tweaking needs to be done. And will see it done as this gets tested.
The realist in me thinks this is Cryptic. It could take a few years. To fix the text. To read more Klingon.
