o.O
Wow. How did I miss/forget the Additional Clocks tab for the system tray clock?? (Maybe I have not used that control panel since XP?) Now set for Pacific time and UTC.
one of them set and forget things, we all forget about the nice little features that never get used lol
i read previous posts and all i see is people with no patience.:(
Im fine waiting, its given me time to do a bit of cleaning up and sorting on my hard drives as well as my home and a little bit of time to catch up on some TV Series.
Do you *really* think that I'm mad because I can't play - while I'm at work?? Really?? And you really think that I think everyone plays while they are at work???
There is no acronym that can accurately describe my degree of laughter right now....
is that why every time i talk to someone from across the pond they always say they are at work but on the game??? mmmmm lets see your on here now having a b***h fit about something you are trying to prove wrong. someone who said well you know what you said, why dont you prove me wrong and get to work but no your posting on here having a fit about a game lmfao
I know...what's taking them so long? They extended the maintenance for another hour, and they're still not done? I guess it's for the First Contact Day event tomorrow...
I'm on the client, ready to click the Log In button. :S
The waiting time is beginning to fry my circuits!
Note that with Windows 7 (and probably Vista, maybe 8) you can also add multiple clock gadgets to the desktop and configure each one to show a different time.
Back when Star Trek VI The Undiscovered Country premiered in Seattle, WA, I was at the theater watching the movie with James Doohan (Scotty) and his family. He got up in front of the screen before the movie started and gave a nice little speech. I was only 2 rows behind him, it was awesome and is a Star Trek moment I will always remember.
Everybody having problems with timezones just failed the ability to enter StarFleet in far FUTURE... And all cryptic workes shall be enslaved and never be allowed to touch technology again...
We are not in BST. we have never been in BST. It's a myth! it's BWT (British Winter Time) and BRT (British Rain Time) there maybe a day or two of "sun" but it'll be bloody windy
I like the "Hopefully" Guess it'll be tomorrow before I can get back online, I just hope that its worth the wait and they finally managed to fix the lag and connection issues!

Actually, I'm perfectly fine with the game being down. In fact, I would prefer they take their time and try to get the issues resolved - no matter what time of day or night they may need to do it. Working in the IT world, I do understand that systems need maintenance, maintenance takes time, and someone will always be inconvenienced by it.
What you seem to lack the mental capacity to grasp is that every week, people from *your* side of the pond whine and cry about how the downtime affects their play, and how the US isn't "the center of the earth."
My post was a bit of sarcastic satire to comment on that same, tired old gripefest that comes from *your* side of the pond every. stinking. week.
As to why I am on here posting at all...we have a custom here that may seem unusual to you over there, we call it "lunch break." If you are unfamiliar with it, and can't find something through google that answers all questions you may have about it, then by all means feel free to ask, and I will be happy to explain.

I am in Essex, and I can tell you we definitely are in British Snow Time.

Ahh, but is it the same person every time?
Every five minues, someone in the world is getting hit by a white van.
And he's getting really fed up about it.
