Big Thread of Legacy of Romulus Questions

So, rather than focusing on the big questions around how the Romulan faction will work in LoR, I thought it would be good to list the smaller but no less important points that will need to be addressed...

  • How will lockbox ships like the Temporal Destroyers work? Will Romulans get their own Temporal ships or will they be unopenable?
  • Cross-Faction console boxes - which console will Romulans get, or will they be unopenable?
  • Will old Feature Episodes be adjusted to accommodate Romulan players?
  • Will Romulans get Joined Trill BOFFs?
  • Will Romulans get Lifetime Subscriber Liberated Borg BOFFs? [neoakiraii]
  • Will Romulans have a 1,000 day veteran ship? [monsh]
  • Will new traits be available for Romulan characters? [srafaorasp]
  • How will the Romulan Reputation system work if you are already Romulan? [scififan78]
  • Will there be a Romulan equivalent to the Odyssey/Bortasq'u and the Ambassador/Kamarag, and will we get them the same way? [scififan78]
  • Doffs, especially ultra rare ones? Will there be a third doff faction as well. [havam]
  • What will be the Romulans special Doff category (like Diplomacy and Marauding for the other factions)? [qjunior]
  • PvP queues 3way pvp, mixed, what's it going to be? [havam]
  • How will Romulan cloaks differ from Klingons? [neoakiraii]
  • The Romulan FE "frozen" awards a choice of two Romulan weapons, will this be changed for Romulan faction characters since they already have access (presumably) to "Romulan weapons"? [daytonamax]
  • Will we be able to port over or transfer our Fed/KDF alien-built "Romulans" to the Romulan faction? [pyryck]
  • Will the ROM Dailies like Minefield, SB24 etc feature this alien race? [drkfrontiers]
  • How will the ROM factions native weapon choice i.e. plasma be different to the many reputation + store variants already to be unique? [drkfrontiers]
  • Will we get a free Romulan character slot? [highcasualtyrate]
  • (Paraphrasing) What's the deal with the revamped traits? [tsurutafan01]


So what else do we think should be considered?

    And what are those drones? I hope the Romulans are more classy than tentacles.

    I think those are icionions using robots to fight for them. or a bug race or something

    You're probably right.

    Another interesting thing.
    -we see missile style torpedoes
    Perhaps we will see bits of the ENT Romulan war.

    Indeed. I think it might be renamed to "New Romulus" reputation.

    A lot of people already made Romulan on either side. Can we have a way to "switch" side, and maybe species ? Maybe reset lvl to 1, allowing us to rebuild the character, pick the Romulan species instead of alien,... Just keeping unlocks and items (reputation gear, costume unlock...). Like the true ressurection in DDO.

    I wanted to be romulan since day 1, I feel bad to have invested so much in characters that won't be played anymore once the new faction comes out.

    Or perhaps the "Unification Reputation"

    It would fit as D'tan not only wants to unify the Romulans and Vulcans as were the wishes of his mentor Spock, but also to unify the Romulans and Remans under one banner to better themselves.

    Will PC Romulans be part of their own faction or will they have to choose to join Starfleet or the KDF at the end of their levelling story arc? As far as I can tell there's a lot of things that point to a full faction, but nothing spelling it out as such.

    I expect a "deception" or something like that. Involve a bit of espionnage and diplomacy.

    It would probably be a good idea if the give the Remans the options to wear Gorn-stlye "spec ops" shield thingies.

    Does this mean Remans will be a playable Captain?

    Will there be Reman Boffs?
    If so, what of the Reman Boff from the Cloaked Intentions series replay, will it be changed to something else?

    The Romulan FE "frozen" awards a choice of two Romulan weapons, will this be changed for Romulan faction characters since they already have access (presumably) to "Romulan weapons"?

    Is the new romulus republic a fully independent faction, with its own duty officers, starbases, fleets, and a specific romulan agenda? I hope so!

    Another question: will klingons and romulans get specific powers and abilities?

    And: will klingons get episodes or some sort of repetable xp farming mission from lvl 1 to 20 to fill the gap?

    Something I realized posting in another thread.

    What will Romulan duty officer stuff be like without Heretic at the helm of Doff making? No offense to Bort and Archon, but Sir Tuffli was the Doff Daddy.:P

    Seems so. Could also make sense since it's a Republic now, and not the Empire anymore.

    Frozen may not be available for Romulan. I'm pretty sure they'll have another story arc instead of the Romulan story arc.

    Will Cryptic make a killing on Fleet DOFF sales as people try to get Bugs for their future Romulan toons...? Will the price of Bugs on the Exchange skyrocket? Will people that have already sold one recently be buying a lot of Excedrin as they continuously /picard?
