This thing was insane in its original form, even with people following a strategy, I thought the idea was to balance it.
They're testing and adjusting. Why do you think Private Queues were disabled? They want to test public queuing for the event; and how PUGs do as opposed tp privately formed groups (although given the fact few test on Tribble to begin with, other then seeing that the public queues work, and launch the Event; I don't know how valid the results will be. A lot of people (myself included) have been requesting harder/really challenging content; so they're also buffing it back up to get some metrics on how players on Tribble respond -- they want our feedback on multiple levels with this one it seems. I doubt we've seen the last tweak to this on Tribble.

Be careful what you wish for. I think pugs had about approximately a 0% success rate when it was on Holodeck.
Make that 0.1%.

Dude, the Tholians are involved in everything in this game.
Why do you think we call them "bugs"?

It's stronger on the attack now, but regenerates less, so there will be a lot less of it jumping back to full health faster than you can damage it if you don't have lots of Tactical captains flying Escorts.
The thing was destroyed within 2-3 minutes even back in the old days.
The good old days when Moose of Woe used to lead teams in to help those having trouble with it. I only had one toon then and every attempt on newer toons as I level them were disasters.
Kind of want... though I'm intrigued as to whether the rewards will be increased commensurate to the difficulty. Ultra-rare quality drops? :P
In most cases, the rewards for max level content are lackluster at best. If they keep it incredibly difficult to beat, I do think he reward should match the difficulty.

Not that I disagree about the tuning limitations on tribble aspect, and the need/desire for challenging content. However if it's tuned to be successfully pugable(<---my word) there is no way in hades it will ever be able to also be "challenging".
Pick any STF and public quene it 10 times and tell me how many actual successful runs you get out of it. Pugs = brain death and the worry that some participants may not have enough computational power upstairs to breathe un-assisted. And you think there is any way to tune CE to be both challenging and pugable?
The mythical gods of the dev world couldn't come up with that magic trick.
IMO they should just beef-er up and let the chips fall where they may, if a group fails, it fails, cry me a river
I mean, I've taken probably 15 PUG runs at the No Win Scenario. Every one of them ends at pretty much the same point. So what? It's supposed to be hard. I don't have a problem with that.

I totally agree with this. I like the NWS as is and if it ain't broken...

What's to explain? Tholians are crystaline-based. They have more in common with the CE than they do with most other Star Trek races.

False. Not with PUGs. Or if in a public que, the majority of the people had planned it out.

I would like to see these return as well.
