Do you really think they'll be putting this "major update which is not a season 8" on Tribble? I wouldn't think so in my opinion!!! - it'll be released for all I think.
According to the neat little timer, the reveal will occur around 9:00 am est. Patches and maintenance down times normally come around at that time and day. I love the anticipation build up. Cryptic did a very nice job at the advertising.
My prediction is that one of the following will occur:
~ New Romulan reputation missions.
~ New Romulan reputation items.
~ New Romulan featured episodes.
~ New Romulan playable character (not faction).
~ New Romulan ship for KDF.
~ Advertising for the next upgrade.

OMG. Now I want to make a Muppet/Star Trek MMO, where everyone is a muppet, but dressed up in ST uniforms.

Ive looked over the new screenshot and my opinion is
Its is an assimilated romulan the left eye with the lens flare looks like a borg eye laser implant
and as we all know the romulans have been trying to adapt borg tech to their own.
And the spectre of the borg is a shadow that looms over the entire quadrant and even more so if the romulans have cracked the code and have indeed adapted borg tech to their own.
They would be hard to beat.
IMO they are going to release new missions and or STFs pertaining to the romulans with borg adapted tech.
I'm sure it's going to be a feature episode rather than just more information on the may update, also because they are bringing down the shard today to update it.
