Can we get Aceton Assimilators in the next Cross Faction Console Box in the next LockBox? Up the anti by giving KDF the Console that comes in the T1 Steamrunner. that will really make for some interesting PVP activity. What do ya say?

Aceton Assimilators are really the only unique console power the KDF have left. If you want to use them, go roll a Klingon. I myself want to see more uniqueness to both factions.

I'd rather have Plasmonic Leech or the Magnetometric Generator, personally.

i say, this thread is most likely about to get swamped by KDF fanatics screaming vitriol and other kinds of bad things at you for daring to suggest the federation get access to yet another piece of KDF uniqueness, so i'd get my riot shield ready if i were you :P

as to the topic itself, i would personally prefer to see the feds get the plasmonic leech, as i've seen for myself just how effective that thing is, though i wouldn't say no to the assimilator; either way, it's another source of power drain for my science guys

as for trading said aceton for the team fortress console...wont happen as the steamrunner is a STEAM product.....it would be wrong to do that and give it to the kdf...

I say give the KDF one of the best consoles Starfleet has to offer. The emission seeking torpedo console and tachyon detection field :P

Things the KDF has that the Federation wants:
    Aceton assimilators
    Plasmonic leech

Things the Federation has that the KDF wants:
    Developer attention
    Escorts with 5 tac consoles
    Quarterly Z-store ship offerings
    Expanded costume options

The Ferengi would say: I think we can make a deal here.

As things stand now, I don't think Federation players fully grasp how insulting, dishonorable, and blatantly favoritist it is to give the Federation equipment for a pittance of EC while Klingon players have to buy entire ships with zen.

How about we don't give the Feds anything and instead give the KDF the attention it's been needing since release. You can take your Aceton Assimilator idea and put it somewhere appropriate.

Well its not like this game is actually factional anyways. More like when youre playing a single-player RPG and pick the Good or Evil dialogue options and that unlocks maybe some alternate powers and some different cutscenes, but all the levels and boss fights and main powers are still the same. Or in an FPS where in deathmatch mode you can use the skins of the in-game enemies, but ultimately its just cosmetic. Why do so many people get so bent out of shape hoping for something thats as likely as a resurgence in the global unicorn population? Does nothing but breed pointless hostility.

I see the feds took the moral high ground again by just offering insults instead of anything constructive. Is this the star fleet way now? To gobble up all before them like some smiling borg.
    How sad.

The AA or PL will end up in a LB only becuase Cryptic wants the flash revenue and for no other reason. Still the feds will pat themselves on the back and take it as a victory while showing all non-fans out there looking at the game how selfish they can really be.

i'm not sure how one could get anything constructive out of this anyway; it's not like starfleet has anything of equal value to offer up for either of the listed consoles, because they're just that good. the only true thing of value that hasn't already been offered up is the ablative armor generator, which isn't all that valuable anyway with its too-short duration and enormous CD, not to mention the fact that it's a ship-specific console so it wouldn't ever be considered for exchange to begin with.

There are some consoles I'd get for sure.
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.

such as? as i mentioned, most of the good ones are already cross-faction, so i can't immediately think of any others offpaw that would be acceptable trades for either the leech or assimilator.

High time we ended all this nonsense. All special consoles should be offered for sale in the Z Store or the Dil store at the appropriate price. There should be no faction specific technology, it doesn't even fit with the story, during war time the other side is always copying or stealing each other's tech. Everything for everyone, then we would see some fun in Kerrat.
IMO, they could just have the Feds & Klinks make peace again and put everyone in the same faction that has access to everything. The whole "war" is just backstory anyway, Ker'rat is the only place in the game where the factions are actually in opposition (no, pre-arranged PvP matches don't count).

    hell effing no, just...no

besides, the empire will NEVER make peace with the federation until they get off their lazy asses and actually do something about their undine infiltration problem AND offer the empire an apology for basically spitting in their face by condemning the cleansing of the gorn leadership of the foul shapeshifters

    By Kahless third moQ, no.

They need to actually create a war based story content for the KDF at the lower levels so the war makes sense in perspective to STOs backstory before they bring peace at the endgame.
The KDF and fed players nneed to know why they fought each other on the way up before they realize that the greater foe ecists at endgame and do the right thing to battle it.

okay, first off, i have to ask...what is a moQ?

secondly, most everyone already knows why the KDF is fighting the federation, which i mentioned in my previous post, though i may not have gotten every reason, and the federation is fighting because they see everything the empire is doing as war-mongering...which it kind of is, but that's what makes them klingon!

last, any peace with the federation better be on the empire's terms, not starfleet's/cryptic's/whoever elses's and also better not come too quickly, because if it does, my nausicaan is going to be seriously pissed, as he has a major grudge against the federation

    MoQ = sphere or ball

Everyone may know the why as to the conflict but not because the game has told is the story.
Thats what I would love to see changed. Especially on the KDF side which has next nothing telling the player why we fight the feds and why we later at endgame fight beside them.

We are basically a quarter supported faction in a game where we are the primary supportive character. That needs to change. And not becuase of fed insistance for a peace they did not earn.

technically, the game does tell the story through the lore stuff, but story missions explaining it would certainly be nice...only problem is, doing those potential missions across 8 KDF characters plus any future ones i decide to make is going to be a real pain...on the other paw, they can be skipped

agreed. if the federation really wants peace, they better be prepared to do some serious kissing up to the empire for it...and i'm sure the chancellor wouldn't say no to gaining some major compensation in the form of planetary systems in the process

i have to agree with the consensus, aceton assimilators are pretty dirty for the feds to use. i wouldnt mind having a console that would maybe counter the aceton somehow, maybe reflect its leach back or on a diff direction. that would be interesting

LOL. Are you saying that Fed. Players don't have to buy the ship that has the special consoles they want? That they can just buy the consoles? Cause last I checked, that Tachyon Detection Grid is still on that Nebula that costs 2K zen.
And that point defense system that the Klingons got in that last lockbox? Yeah. I still have to buy the ship in order to get it! So IDK what you're talking about.

The war content could be inserted into low levels so new players would have an understanding of the why and to give us story that pertains to us.
