Serious, can I return my Atrox because ... whats the point really?
Lol, can i return all my starfleet ships stupid me bought of C-store ?
"Cryptic Studio’s Jack Emmert (2010): Microtransactions are the biggest bunch of nonsense. I like paying one fee and not worrying about it – like my cellphone. The world’s biggest MMO isn’t item based, even though the black market item GDP is bigger than Russia … microtransactions make me want to die.”
am i the only one that thinks the mirror universe patrol escort is the "best" ship in this lockbox? it's a patrol escort that can use the mvae console.
unique bridge: what a cop out. i could understand the jem'hadar heavy escort carrier sharing the same bridge as the jem'hadar attack ship, but the jem'hadar dreadnaught shares it too? i would think that would give your bridge designers some room to come up with some cool and unique jem'hadar bridge designs. i guess not.
jem'hadar heavy escort carrier: can this ship equip cannons?
Glad Cryptic didn't go crazy with the stats on the Jem Heavy Escort Carrier, but the Jem Dreadnaught is another story. Looking at it's weapons layout, I can only guess that it can mount cannons?

Maybe so, but just like the Vo'Quv, it can't turn so it can use them, so cannons aren't a good idea
I can use DHC on Voquv with no problem, so am excited about this new one with a much better console and boff layout.
It doesn't look like the Jemhadar dreadnought can use DHC. If so I won't want to use it, no need for Cmdr and Lt tac stations just to use beams.
BOff layout for Jemhadar heavy escort looks like it won't work for me at all either. Maybe if that ensign sci station was tactical or universal and the lt station was sci I might be interested.
Looks like the Lobi Jem Dread will be superior than the one in the Dominion lockbox. Do we know how many lobis per Jem Dread. How about having the Jem Attack ships also in the lobi rather than in the lock boxes? Doesnt make sense to have it in a box.
Whoa. That carrier is like a Karfi with an extra 10k hull and +5 energy plus subsystem targeting. I get the feeling its going to be to carriers what the Bug is to escorts. Yikes.
The stats on that dready are just downright ridiculous. 4 fore weapons? subsystem targetting? AND 2 hangar pets, with them possibly being frigate-level (if the captain has/had the Attack Ship)? The only thing that's keeping me from wondering if PWE is trolling us is the turn rate. But still, even with that abysmal turning rate, if that thing had beams/double beams combined with system targetting, and jesus all of those tact boffs and consoles..
I agree with the guy who commented about returning his Atrox. What's the point? Every carrier is getting outclassed either by "escort carriers" or by this PVP-rage inducing monstrousity.
If I didn't know any better, I'd say Tier 6 ships were already here, lol.
The Jem'Hadar Heavy Escort Carrier looks like it has better spec's then the Fleet Heavy Escort Carrier. I just don't care for the bridge officer layout.
The Jem'Hadar Dreadnought Carrier has a better boff layout but I with the universal and the science officer were switched.
that huge dreadnaught in a bridge made for a small ship like the attack ship? come on. is this supposed to be "the" star trek game or not? this was the perfect opportunity to see some really cool jem'hadar bridge designs and you guys dropped the ball.
The JH HEC has an interesting BOFF layout, but its more a battle cruiser in turn and hull than it is an escort. In which case a battle cruiser typically has 4 rear weapons.
So it lacks the weapons load of a battle cruiser and lacks the turn of an escort.
The BOFF layout at least will lend itself to some nice A2B usage.
The Dread, I don't know what people are salivating about, it has more Tac stations than a ship with a turn rate of 6 can realistically use.
It won't be a good healer, and it won't be a really good tank.
So it's a slow turning, poor maneuverability, tac ship with pets.
It doesn't have the 8 weapon slots of a true dreadnought, it doesn't have any of the sci/engineering of a carrier, it doesn't have the unique double Ltc carrier boff layout, and it lacks maneuverability to make using narrow arc weapons anything more than a chore in PvE and a joke in PvP.
We're not even sure if it can use Dual Cannons yet, it probably will, if I really want to use DC/DHCs I'll do it on a ship that won't induce thumb sprain to turn all the time.

It's a fairly modest difference if you compare to the standard Advanced Escort. It loses one turnrate from the Patrol Escort.
I think the Mirror ships resist becoming boring as anything other than a hull texture at this point.
My preference there would be:
- Lower all MU ships Shield modifier by 0.1 and give them all +5 Weapon Power and +2 turnrate on top of whatever they already have. It's not really more powerful but it is enough to make them interesting. (The one MU game out there was an Excelsior on a rail shooter so the maneuverability argument is there.)
- Introduce some weapons/consoles that can be equipped on any MU ship but can only be used on MU ships for Lobi. I can see tons of thematic potential here. Imagine an Agony Booth console. Consumes 5% of your crew and 5 aux power per second for up to 20 seconds, increasing crit chance by 5% and severity by 10% (stacking up to 20 times). Clears only when your aux power is exhausted or you successfully kill a target. After which your ship's subsystems are all disabled for 5 seconds but you recover crew quickly.

Nope, saw it too. thought about opening boxes too (for about a half second) then realized I never play with my fed guy.
Reading the post, to use Jem Attack Ship pets will require an unpacked JAS. Is that on the same character or in my account? I think it is the former since it is unlikely the system is set up to identify all lockbox ships on my account (especially since those are character bound).
I find that troubling since that means I have to use a carrier on my tac character with the JAS. I planned on using either an Engy or Sci character for the big Jem carrier.

Honestly if you have an unpacked JHAS you are using on a character there is no reason outside of simply wanting variety for its own sake to ever climb out of the JHAS for either of these ships. Pets or no pets.
Looking forward to information on the upgrade pack ... dusting off my Bug ship
Also ... it would be nice to see some Fed and Klink lock box ships. Feels like we are becoming the "Alien Trash of a Galaxy" with all these exotic ships.

Only a 1 time payment? :P These ships you could spend anywhere between 10-100 dollars and not get one.

and no shuttle/fighter ship for 300 lobi this time around?!
was hoping to fly that jem fighter as a shuttle.

LTS, here since...when did this game launch again?

Well there is over 5 min of footage where it is clear the Defiant is 1/20 the size of this ship!
What will the scale be like in the game?

You will also notice that the Valiant is destroyed by CANNON fire from the dread.

Yeah, and what are the stats of the fighters? Will it be worth picking up a bug ship to get the fighters?
I'm hoping they will have stats like the Fer'jai Frigates... only way it would be worth it.
