Well, I was doing Lambda 460 Relief quest... after I finished the quest, and tried to warp out, and the game can't find the map manager..
Therefore I took the liberty of exiting the game and re-entering, now, when I try to load my character, the game can not find the map manager...

It just let me log back in after kicking me off. I guess it found the maps again. AND, someone posted on here that First Contact is on SyFy, so it all worked out well.
I've also been hit by the glitch. I was getting a series of glitches in the Zenas Expanse at first, like appearing on an empty map, the game crashing suddenly and now this glitch.
I was about to progress with a Foundary mission and the error message popped up, I can't log in at all due to the message.
It looks like the recent patch that the game received is causing a lot of problems in the game.
yeah same thing is going on with me too, got traped in battle group omega. tryed logging out and now its not even loading the map i see im not the only one with this problem....
Well, at least it's not just me. I omly just came on to restart my reputation missions and do some Rom Mark grinding. Oh well.

Same. Switched characters, tried to login, couldn't get login info, booted. Tried to log back in, chose my character, now it says it can't get map names.
Interesting that this crashing/lagging/non-responsiveness/rubberbanding all started with the latest hotfix...
"Server's doing fine, but some people aren't doing what we want them to do/doing something we don't want them to do. Let's stop them by congesting everyone onto less servers plus increase the amount of NPCs and decrease their respawn times and, therefore, increase lag and memory/bandwidth usage...oh damn, it crashed. How did we not see that coming?":P

Me too And this is on an alt that I created because my main is trapped in a null system that shows my character and a blue screen and the beam up/transwarp buttons are greyed out. I'm going to have to stop playing until this gets fixed. And I cant even log into tech support :mad:
Questions for the vets, I was at the very end of a mission, defeated the boss and just had one easy step to complete when I got stuck between maps. When the servers come back up what are the odds I will have to replay the mission?
