Yeah, I wouldn't mind a fleet level of the 1,000 day ships, but you're asking for a LOT. They're meant to be good, but unique ships, not some uber-level end-all ships.
A fleet version would be nice, but would only really put em on par with other fleet level ships, and that is all.
I remain empathetic to the concerns of my community, but do me a favor and lay off the god damn name calling and petty remarks. It will get you nowhere.
I must admit, respect points to Trendy for laying down the law like that.
I don't own one so I don't have a stake in this fight. But. I do think that there should be a Fleet version of the 1000-day ships. You don't want your most loyal customers to feel like they are being excluded or second-rated. Just increase shields and hull by 10% and give them the 10th console to put them in line with other Fleet ships. This lets 1000-day veterans stay competitive in power while still maintaining the unique features and appearance of their reward ship.
since the special ability is on a console and the rest of the stats are sub fleet level, it would deserve a fleet version to be honest.
but then again if you look at the 1000 day vet ships as a gift for lifetime subs, it doesn't need an upgrade. it is a free lifetimers ship for VA. it certainly is one of the better ships with 9 console slots
anyway, i think people who own one, should be able to buy a fleet version in my opinion.
We are subscribers/LTS.. We are a unwanted drain on their resources.
Get used to it.
Actually the only ones that are drains are the free players. The ones who aren't monthlies/lifers/paid any money for this game. Players like me. We are the ones who are drains, since even though lifers get zen, and eventually pay it off, it's only in game currency, which can be created by a simple code.
You guys still paid them a nice chunk of cash, so you are still contributing more to their pocket books than any freebie players ever will.
However us freebie players drain their servers, we drain their time, their employees, etc. And we do it all without paying them a cent. We also acquire currency in game for free, whereas it could be bought with real money, we are just using in game money to get it. As a direct result, we are taxing their resources in game and outside of it without ever having compensated them for it.
So in comparison, you lifers and subscribers and anyone who ever paid them money are far better than freebies like me.
It is said the best weapon is one that is never fired. I disagree. The best weapon is one you only have to fire... once.
We are subscribers/LTS.. We are a unwanted drain on their resources.
Get used to it.
If we were unwanted, they'd stop selling the LTS. There wouldn't even have been much outcry if they had, since most games stop far earlier than now in their life cycle.
The evidence suggests your conclusion is incorrect.

I think the Chimera is a good ship, if you dont have the Zen to buy a Real Ship. Its good for farming when you are a Lifetimer.
If you want a better Chimera, buy a Vesta, lol.
I don't see any reason why they wouldn't offer a Fleet Chimera. Remember a Fleet version wouldn't be free, as you would still have to buy fleet modules to get it. So all this would end up doing is squeeze more money out of the lifetimers.
I don't think it would take too much work either. How much work does it take to copy/paste an existing ship into the fleet category, change its name a little bit, add a console, and buff its shield strength by 10%? That's really what most of the fleet ships are...
I think the most limiting factor of all this isn't really so much that they can't do it, it's that they'd have to somehow make it so only a Lifer could buy it in the first place. If anybody could buy it, that'd majorly tick off a lot of folks, not that I'd blame em, since the whole point is that it's a unique ship for Lifers.
On top of that, it'd also have to be put in a specific tier of shipyards, and well...too high and you make folks mad by preventing too many from getting it. Too low and every lifer will buy it easily. I'd say tier 3 shipyards myself.
I remain empathetic to the concerns of my community, but do me a favor and lay off the god damn name calling and petty remarks. It will get you nowhere.

As with other fleet ships, a Fleet Chimera could have the improved stats over the original version but lack the console that comes with it.
That way other players are able to get a Fleet Chimera but only the veterans and lifers get access to the tactical mode and the phaser lotus via the original console.
Same would apply to the KDF players and a Fleet Peqhu' or whatever it is called.

This!
I do laugh at people who can consider the current Chimera to be 'omg it is thu best escortz' as it simply isn't. RA Patrol escort is more effective, minus the console abilities. And theres plenty of 9 console store ships which are also superior.
Its stats are shoddy, it loses a console slot for the Tactical mode, Boff slots are questionable... I use mine as a phaser beam boat as thats the only fun way to play the damn thing. Most of the time it stays in the shipyard and I rock out with the Fleet 'Defiant' or Blockade Escort as they are both just so much better.
Dont get me wrong, I do like using it. It does have a few saving graces, and kudos to Cryptic for adding such a ship to the game. Its a cracking ship for someone who has no access to anything beyond RA. But as a Vet/Lifer who has it, you get a free VA ship anyway.
I must agree though, that a Fleet version would make a fine addition to the game provided the Vet/Lifers do still have something unique - The console.
Make a 10 console version, increase the hull and shield caps slightly, maybe give the Chimera an extra 0.5 shield cap over the Peghqu' to compensate the lack of Cloak.
And for lifers who already have one, a cost of just 1 Fleet Ship Module.
Make it tier 5, or even tier 6 when that arrives. Making it tier 3 is too low for what it potentially is.

A Ship inferior in everyway is somehow superior? Logic isn't quite your strong suit, it would appear.
The Chimera far ecplises any of the Ships you mentionned, but hey, you can't even be trusted to read their stats, so I wouldn't expect good analysis from you.
IMO the Fleet version should stay Vet-Only. It would kind of be a slap in the face if free players can get the improved version of the ship without buying lifetime.

While I agree with this, I can't see them limiting their profits. They should just make the console built in, buff it to fleet standards, and give it 10 console slots total. Allow the use of the existing cloak console from the defiant/Galaxy x for those federation cloak supporters.
That way other players are able to get a Fleet Chimera but only the veterans and lifers get access to the tactical mode and the phaser lotus via the original console.
No. Lifetimers should get something utterly unique to acknowledge their significant investment in the game. You want a Chimaera, you buy LTS, period.
I'd like to point out again that I'm not a lifetimer. I don't benefit from this. It just makes business sense to reward customer loyalty.
Boff slots are unique and potentially very powerful. When I look at that ship I see an engineer in that LTC universal slot, turning it into a Federation battlecruiser that can out-maneuver and out-shoot the KDF's battlecruisers.

This would be the fair way to do it.
It probably should be a 5 module ship for non-vets minus the consoles and t4 or t5 shipyard so stays somewhat rare and helps keep vets happy that everyone wouldnt easily get one.

Enlighten me. I mentioned its inferiority because it is plainly inferior, especially as an Escort. But where do I say it is superior, and thus backstep my own logic? I would have to say that reading certainly is not your strong point.
Imo, there are plenty of ships superior to the Chimera. However a Fleet version may very well be what is needed to bring out the true potential of a 1,000 Veteran ship with its unique abilities.
If they had intended for the Chimera to be a true Vet reward ship capable of being one of the best ships ingame, it would have had 10 consoles already.

Either you're a troll, a moron or, most likely, both.
I shouldn't be so na?ve as to explain in painstaking detail what is obvious to all whose intelligence exceeds room temperature, but, since I'm way too nice, here goes: The Chimera has better stats across the board than the Hermes, yet you state the Hermes is somehow "more efficient"=> that's either terrible logic or trolling.
Now, before accusing your betters of poor reading comprehension, work on yours; because that was all already stated in the post you ing misread, you fucking moron.
ATB = Auxiliary to Battery. It drains your auxiliary power and increases your other power levels. Some players like it on escorts because they never use auxiliary power for anything.
Auxillary to Battery (AtB) is an ability that takes your existing Aux power and converts it to Weapons, Shields and Engine power for a limited duration while sinking your Aux to zero.
Used with 3 Technician DOff (Purple is best) the use of AtB has a chance to proc an very good reduction in cool downs on all your BOff abilities.
Use twin AtB with 3 Technicians and you can keep most of your abilities on a near-constant uptime.

No. You may not.
Hanger for battle cloak isn't near equal. The Peg loses shields for battle cloak, not to mention making the ship have a Uni commander is nuts.
A fleet version would be nice but its never gonna be OP like you want it.

The Chimera's on par with your standard patrol escort.

Those whom scoff at it may have not discovered its potential.

for example;
Chimera
TT1 APd1 CRF2 ApO3
TT1
EPTS1 AtB1
EPTA1 AtB1 (DEM2/EWP1/RSP2/EXTS2)
HE1 TSS2
Such builds take timing and pratice to work right (or a good key bind) becuase of the Aux depletion, but when they do they can be very effective.
