My Tor'Khat is like like Clubber Lang when he beat the guts out of Rocky. A relentless muscle ship that punishes the opposition like a hammer on an anvil. Look at the neck on that beast! A veritable bull with horrifying agility. More accomplished captains jeer at the Tor'Kaht because it is so devastating and they think they are too awesome for it. They are just jealous their pet cruisers have pencil necks and look like awkward chickens in comparison.
Fleet Tor'kaht all the way. It has the ability to completely devastate the battlefield, and enough tank to stay in a prolonged fight. The only BoFF layout on the fed side that matches it is the Tac Odyssey, which lets you know how devastating that ship can truly become in the right hands.
The dps in my sig below was done in a polaron beam boat tor'kaht build.
As a captain (lvl 34) I can't really comment on the ship I fly now, but I have done some window shopping and the Fleet Norgh BoP Retrofit looks fit to be my endgame ship of choice.
It just looks fantastic, the console and boff layout is quite versatile, and with arguably superior ships on the menu for the same price it has something of the underdog about it.
I love my B'Rel retrofit, I switched to the Breen ship just to retry it, I ended up going back to my B'Rel retrofit. I love the design, especially with the 900 vet material, I have the XII Omega force set using Disruptors, can turn awesomely and is one of my all time fav ships, it's just that fun
Might as well jump in. I fly a Marauder, carrying a flight deck full of either Orion Slavers or Marauder Shuttles, the I.K.S. Harvester. I love it.
It won't win any beauty contests, but good lord can it take a beating. Armed with a forward and aft photon torpedo launcher, 3 forward Disruptor cannons and 3 aft Disruptor turrets, it isn't a slouch at dishing out the pain either.
Slavers. I love slavers. They make me money, they keep me completely stocked on commodities, and they create mine fields that could (given enough time) span several square kilometers. It's also quite entertaining watching those Federation weaklings attempting to shoot down my fighter craft, and failing, while completely ignoring the fact I'm smashing them to pieces with concentrated disruptor fire.
Marauding Force comes out when I'm feeling silly, I get a kick out of picturing a team of Lethean and Orion assault troops rampaging around a Federation ship. The mental image of the red shirts scrambling for cover and being mowed down never gets old.
I don't see a lot of Marauders flying around, so I feel exclusive, like owning an Aston Martin (only much, much uglier).
I actually enjoy the Kamarag Battlecruiser Retrofit on my engineer.
It isn't as awesome as a fleet ship or a Negh'var, but whatever.
I like how it looks and I like the different BOFF layout.
I turn well enough to keep my DHCs pointed on target.
I loved (past tense) my B'rel retro. It used to be a fun, powerful ship. Now it's outdated and just can't pop the feddies like it used to. I went with a JHAS and never looked back.
grind for your fleeties! (no, seriously-it's worth the time.) I'd recommend waiting on the shields and getting the "Elite" shield instead with the res though...wonderful things.
Well my fleet is only tier 2 and we don't have the advanced shields so I assume they are tier 3 and with Mk XII very rare shields I am getting wasted in ESTF's. I would get the Honour Guard shield but I have to go through the STF's to get it, which doesn't make sense as you have to grind the STF's to get the gear to do the STF's.
Support the Game by Supporting the KDF, equality and uniqueness for all factions!
I've been playing my KDF toon a lot recently and I realized that I really like pretty much ALL of the KDF T4-5 ships, including, in order from least favorite to most: Negh'var, mirror qin, mirror vor'cha, Hoh'sus BoP, Guramba Siege Destroyer, Fleet Tor'Kaht, and most of all, the Kar'fi Carrier.
I really like the KDF battlecruisers and carriers because in many cases, they have the same or greater maneuverability and hull than their federation counterparts with a greater damage potential due to their use of DC/DHCs.
The Kar'fi is by far my favorite ship right now because it flies like a battlecruiser, has the BOff slots of a Sci ship, and amazing carrier pets in the Fer'jai frigates (I have adv. looking forward to fleet elite).
Light Speed! - No, light speed is too slow. We need LUDICROUS SPEED!

I'm actually really fond of my Varanus support ship. Sure, her stats are a little sketchy next to Federation science vessels, but being able to lay down space hidey-holes that launch band-aid drones have saved my hide more often than I can count.
The fact that it's also a Gorn ship (and quite attractive-looking one at that) certainly helps!
Currently rocking the Fleet K'Tinga, old-school. This is a really great, highly underrated ship. It's a good compromise between bruising toughness and maneuverability. You don't get many tactical slots, but with the changes to Emergency Power, I find this ship is still a consistent performer in STFs. I'm still using beam arrays in lieu of cannon, since this ship really doesn't boast enough tactical stations to support a proper cannon build. No, it doesn't hold a candle to an escort in terms of burst damage or agility, but it definitely has staying power, and with Aux2Damp, I'm able to turn pretty well, in spite of being a rocket on roller-skates.
Ah yes - the ship I used for the longest time: My Maurader Orion Pig Carrier (FDC), the IKS Honey Boo Boo
Bug, Bulbous and ugly, much like its' namesake. Tanks like a beast and can bring the pain with 1 hangar and 8 weapon slots. Also just nice to fly a ship not so common.
Up Until recently I was flying the Hegh'ta BoP which I always have since back before the F2P days. It hits hard , is fast nimble and strikes fear into the feds.
I have recently swapped to the Peghqu' though as it has better hull and shields as well as an extra rear weapon slot and BO station while retaining the battlecloak. Its great even if its not as maneuverable as my Hegh'ta. Plus the tactical mode is great in a pinch for laying down some quick pain in STFs and such.

I'm sure I saw you flying around near Ganalda the other day, I remember laughing at your ship name.
Hm let's see. My To'duj fighter. I realize it's not a starship but I have always liked it and always like using it.
I'll admit that I have even done some episodes in it (defeating an NPC Orion battleship is a lot more fun in a fighter) and one time I forgot I was in it and popped in a KDF Fleet Alert in it. I wanted to warp out but my PuG made me stay saying that it would be fun. The enemy was Borg and I'll admit that it was fun, I blew up a few times but soloed a Probe and almost soloed a Sphere (starbase got it when I lowered its shields). Since LOR that it got a battle cloak I'm loving it even more!

Congratulations, Vulcan, you just made me say "d'aww..." at a raptor. I never thought I'd see the day...

What a cruel world we live in.
