I play a Joined Trill science officer, using a Hegh'Ta Bird of Prey. Sci BOFF in the big slot, then Tac, Tac, Eng in the others. Lots of cannons to go with the Gravity Well nonsense. Uncloack on them and they instantly have about five powers, two dual cannons, a single cannon, and a heavy torp on them.
Very very glass ship. I will admit I haven't tweaked it that well and I'm pretty useless in Elite STF play, but this is truthfully a secondary character for me that I use mainly to run various dailies. Fun for PvE. Totally completely different from my FED character, who is a cruiser big on shields and max threat control. It's a great change of pace.
Let's face it Battle Cloak is good fun. And I love the sense that one on one by the time the other ship can see me they are already dead. ;-)
I may not be as effective with it, by any means, but I have a lot of fun.
I don't have one, but I love the look of the Khar'fi Carrier. It looks like some kind of fighting fish, probably the coolest looking ship in the game IMO.

My flt Vorcha! Love that ship esp when she does the power slide revolving around the target and but still facing it (so DHC firing is not interrupted) immediately after going from full impulse and going to all stop!!
I like making fed caps go "HOW DID IT DO THAT!!!???" hehehe.
We still live!!!!! Hahahahahahahahaa! We live and we will conquer!!!!! Hahahahahaaha!
-Roach, when asked about Klingon extinction!
it is by far the most Iconic but it increasingly becomes my favorite "even over fed ships with one exception Cryptics Bellerophon LRSV Refit <- mighty fine ship"
regardless the B'Rel BoP is sadly... stat-wise... very poor in comparison to its Fed alternatives but I'll still use my B'Rel... nothing like it
They have DHCs, they extend shields, they TRIBBLE warp plasma, they bomb things with TCMs, they keep damaged ships alive all simultaneously in the same build and with no need for pay to win consoles.
True warriors do not whine about the other side being OP. They make their existing war machines adapt and thrive on instinct. Thus, BoP is awesome... even when not using cloak.
I don't know about anyone else but my BoP is pretty durable. When moving, it takes little hits. So keep moving.
STF Flight Instructor since Early 2012. Newbies are the reason why STO lives and breathes today. Do not discriminate.
The K't'inga is really the only ship for me; I'm very old school about the Klingons... I wish there was a better one to carry me trhough the end game when I get there; I'm mostly a solo player. also, I wish the model was better; it just looks like the one (D7 with a greeblie texture) from Star Trek Legacy. It has almost none of the real beauty of the design - there are quite a few structural differences...
The Vor'cha was my favourite TNG KDF ship, in STO, I like it's balance of turning, firepower and protection.
My Klingon is a tac and the ship suits that style of play for me.
"The meaning of victory is not to merely defeat your enemy but to destroy him, to completely eradicate him from living memory, to leave no remnant of his endeavours, to crush utterly his achievement and remove from all record his every trace of existence. From that defeat no enemy can ever recover. That is the meaning of victory."

I'm probably going to be branded as crazy because of this, but i love the Bortasqu' Tactical Cruiser. De-cloaking and opening up a volley of 4 DHCs and 4 Turrets, then the Autocannon is simply amazing. I've saved dozens of almost failed optionals in Infected Elite. And in PvP, it remains almost unbeatable in a 1v1 fight. Tanks well, turns ok for a cruiser, and has an immense amount of fire-power. My fleet-mates see it as a complement from the Borg if they manage to pull aggro from a target I'm firing upon.
Not at all, IMO the Bortasqu' is the best ship in STO. It just caters to a specific style of play and if it's not one's style they will never see it or feel at home in this ship.
Why do I like it? What's not to like - I usually like playing big slow tanky cruisers and the Bortasqu' is as badass as they can get. Literally refuses to die...ever. Can cloak, can mount DHC and can be tweaked to turn decently.
It is like duracell comercial....it keeps going and going and takes pounding and pounding and can deal outrageous ammounts of damage untill it's the only ship left standing.
Mirror Voquv for me - Its perfect for a sci/eng carrier player - Sure, you don't get to use dhcs and such effectively but in return you get the ability to hull and shield tank remarkably well and on top can even throw out a grav well while offering support from an apbeta or two - heck, it can even manage a two aux2bat build!
If the pets ever get their smarts back to give the carrier more bite, I believe the mirror voquv will be -the- carrier most klingon carrier pilots will want as it will be nigh on unstoppable in the hands of a skilled pilot (well, in the 'affordable without bankrupting myself' catagory, at least)
Currently in a Fleet K't'inga on my lead toon (see avatar, Dame Kuiama del Solima)
but thinking just maybe it might be worth my while to consider the new Fleet K'maj thats about to appear. (I do like the look of it with the slightly swept wings/hull form of the vocha, engine nacels like the Koro't'inga, and the boom thats a fusion between the classic K't'inga bulbous command section but with the bridge module locatetd further back on the neck.
A lot of folk have made it clear they don't like the look of that particular transitional hull form, but I how ever do find it asthiticly pleasing. It looks Klingon, It looks agressive. to quote "She's a predator"
..and hey, the stat are not to shabby, though I thinks I'll hold off, wait and see what else pops up over the next few months... there are a slew of ships in the pipeline incoming yet.
Peg'hu..it is like a pocket battleship with speed, firepower, maneuverability and tanking.

I have 3 main ships that I jump between all the time: Grumba, Bortasqu' tac, and Fleet Corsair. Grumba is my DPS heavy death dealer, Bortasqu' is my tank and Corsair plays a more versatile role as a semi-tank carrier.
On all three I use the Adapted KHG set, plasmonic leech, Rom and borg consoles, and a plasma based setup. On the Grumba, I use 3 DHCs, rom torp, 3 turrets. Bortasqu' I use 2 DBBs, Rom array , Borg kinetic beam, 3 turrets (sometimes 1 DBB and borg torp - no shared cd with rom torp). Corsair is same setup with Elite Scorpions. I like sets.
I put way more time and effort into my KDF toon and it pays off.

I love my Fleet Tor'Kaht. I have it looking more like an updated Vorcha than the dumpy ship it used to look like. It flies like a dream and I can't think of any other ship I would rather fly. I prefer it to the fleet qin.
Been working on an alt and bought it a Mirror Qin Heavy Raptor.
Sweet Jesus. That ship is death.
Expensive for a Mirror ship on the Exchange (those mirror FED escorts are as close to free as a Tier V ship gets), but at the same time... still feels like a steal, considering that it lays waste to a good number of C-Store ships.

Even on my engineer this ship is just lovely. Although, and I may get TRIBBLE for this, I do fly the Chel Grett on most of my KDF toons until they give me a K'Vort with the same stats.:o

For me personally I drive the Fleet Tor'kaht for PvE. I enjoy cruisers, and I like beams more than cannons. I'm running the Jem'hadar space set on it now with 7 Polaron breams, and a KCB. It pulls 9k dps consistently with my current setup. I'm debating on whether to convert it to romulan plasma, or wait to see what these tholian rep weapons can do.
A few weeks ago, I would have said my Guramba on my Tac for its satisfying disruptor-o'-doom (as far as my KDF toons go), but recently I've been getting deeper into my Negh'Var on my engie. The Boff layout can have some issues for sure, but I've learned to love it as a utility ship than can do decent DPS. Aesthetically, it's imposing--full Negh'Var loadout with Qu'Duj bridge so it looks more like a proper flagship. Plus, the yellow hum of KHG set makes it look downright mean. It's also versatile--I can run beam or cannons on it, though mostly I've been running beams.
If I want to "shut up and win," the Kamarag is a superior ship to the Negh'Var because of Boff layout. But that won't stop me from having fun in such a behemoth.

I'm pretty easy to please when it comes to ships, I find a lot of them fun to fly for various reasons (which is why my toons are overflowing with ships, particularly my Feds).
The Vo'Quv was my first endgame KDF ship. A real brick, but once once I got the right loadout and got the hang of micromanaging my pets it started to feel like wading into the fray in a battlestar.
Then came the Varanus. Back before the Borg set split I was pretty much an unstoppable stone wall in this thing (illustrating why the set got changed). Afterward it's cooled on me a bit, but my interest was rekindled after trying it out on my Gorn Tac with the Jem'Hadar set and Dominion Polarons.
I love the mirror Qin on my engy, it was my first real "escort" type ship, and it tears stuff up real good. Recently though I started running that character with a full cannon-boat Kamarag, and I fell in love, it's nearly everything I wanted from the Qin, but it can tank.
Lastly, the B'rel. My weapons are split evenly between Breen Transphasics (rapid reload and cluster) and distrupors, and it's proved a really fun hit-and-run ship with a good dose of cloaked support vessel thrown in.
Honestly there's only two ships I don't really have a ball in, and those are the original Odyssey and Bortas. Bulky, slow, and rather lacking in "oomph", especially compared to their refits or even free RA ships like the Vor'cha and Sovereign.

Mine has to be my Hegh'ta BOP, it was my first tier 5 ship and it kicked TRIBBLE then (shortly after launch) and it still kicks TRIBBLE today despite all the fancy new ships introduced.
Oh it looks killer to.
Have you flown the Fl'orcha? Have you? HAVE you? HAVE YOU??
Once you do, you'll see why I love that ship The slides you can pull with this ship while still having your cannons bearing on target is just B....E....A...U...tiful
I also like my Sci's Voquv.. Moves like a pig but that one is a BEAST I tell you! So I guess that makes it a super-swine! I mainly use it in STFs for crowd control with purple Orion interceptors and marauders. The number of times Donatra is stuck cos she cant move to follow the aggro'd target is hilarious! :P

My Peghqu' is a vicious beast, tons of damage, lots of tank, and battle cloak FTW.
My Bortasqu' Tactical is like flying a true Dreadnaught. It is huge, sturdy as a mountain, and deadly as a Super Nova. Sure it turns slow but I can easily overcome that. It is pretty much perfect and feels like a TRUE Klingon Flagship with more grit and girth than Giga Bowser.
My Kar'Fi is a thing of nightmares... It is like flying the Barge of the Damned with terrifying fighters. It just chews up the Borg without mercy.
