Hi Captains,

We will be bringing down Star Trek Online tomorrow, Thursday, December 13th, at 7AM PST (click here to view in your timezone) for maintenance and to apply a new patch. Patch notes can be found here, and we expect this maintenance to only last for 2 hours. The test server may also be unavailable during this time.

Thanks for your patience and understanding,

- The Star Trek Online Team

    So, 2.5-3 hours :P
Temporarily removed "Romulan Plasma Flamethrower" from the T5 Projects list.
How temporary will this be? It's one of the only reasons I raised Romulan rep :D

Glad to see tachyons are once again harmonic.

Random grumbling about downtime causing inability to play during peak hours in timezone X.

Generic complaint about why hasn't bug X, Y, or Z not being fixed.

Protest over how long the downtime takes.

Preemptive complaint over the extended downtime.

Massive outrage over newly broken ______ (fill in the blank)

This concludes the thread in one post! Brandon, please lock it now. :D

What about the new tachyon harmonic bug that was found during testing on tribble after it was patched? Now it is going to go live.

Added a mini-Q to the gazebo who can handle bank, mail, and exchange needs.

This is a major WIN! Thank you for this!! :D
Increased the number of Holiday Collectibles received with a Critical Success on Holiday Duty Officer Assignments.

Wait, What? We receive collectables on holiday Doff assignments? I've ran a few of these and never got as much as a Targ Earmuff! ???

PS: Has the cliff jump shortcut/exploit on the Fast and the Flurrious race been fixed? I don't want to become too addicted to this exploit and hope it's been fixed now to make a FAIR race! lol ;)

    • Resolved the issue that incorrectly allowed Romulan Bridge Officers to have their costumes changed.
    • Joining "The Fast and the Flurrious" race automatically removes Q's polymorph effect.

    Why? :(

And why are none of the serious Foundry bugs being fixed?

Star Trek declared a hope for a future that nobody stuck in the present could believe in. For all our struggles today, we haven’t outgrown the need for stories like Star Trek. We need tales of optimism, of heroes, of courage and goodness now as much as we’ve ever needed them."

Oh, that reminds me... Ornaments need to be made "uncommon" or "rare" seeing as they seem to be the hardest to find or earn! In my recent experience anyway! Like, I seem to find or earn more Andorian Bells or Bajoran Beads (which are apparently Uncommon) more often than I do Ornaments. Let's put it that way! ;)

ANy chance of getting the Reputation store glitch fixed on this patch?

I can't buy any of the items I've unlocked because my rep store only shows a blank window with an exit button.

The following patch notes were just added for tomorrow's release:
    • The Investigate Officer Reports Daily now requires completing only 1 qualified mission, has a 30 min cooldown, and rewards 960 Dilithium.
    • The Fleet Action daily that randomly picks 1 of 3 missions now gives 50 Fleet Marks and 960 Dilithium.
    • The Mining Event got a little more than a 50% boost to dilithium earned per node.
    Cheers,

YAY so now people do have a reason to play Foundry!

It's a good step towards timed rewards too :)

So...now we can do Investigate Officer Reports every 30 minutes for 960 dilithium? Does it still reward fleet marks or no?

    Holy Targ doo-doo.

Another question I must ask is, does it count 30 min cooldown upon Accepting mission, or upon Completion ?

Yes, it sure does :) I updated the patch notes to reflect this, as well as renaming it from a "daily" to a "mission". Don't forget to tip your Foundry authors with all that extra Dilithium, and donate to your Fleet's projects with all the extra marks :D

I just want to say thank you to the Devs from the bottom of my heart for actually listening to the myriad members of small to mid size fleets whose fleet projects/upgrades were decimated by the Season 7 change to Investigate officer reports. I must admit that since season 7, mainly due to the change in Investigate Officer reports, I and others like me have been doing pretty much nothing else than endlessly grinding for fleet marks. It will be nice to now have some breathing room to be able to enjoy the other aspects of the season 7 upgrade as well as Q's winter wonderland. Thanks again.
