Bold are shops I've actually seen them for sale. Underlined are shops I haven't seen them for sale in.
I've found different locations of the chains may or may not carry them, but every Australia Post and Woolworths I've been into has them.
IIRC different shops carry different card denominations, so it pays to look around if the shopping centre your in has a bunch of the listed retailers.
I checked in with the billing team -- redeem it as $20, and again as $5. I *think* the $25 cards may be an older type of card, but are still redeemable through this method.
Cheers,
Brandon =/\=
I bought 3x $20 cards and I just realized that you cant put all three in at the same time and get the $50 bonus (300) zen. Is there a way to do this? I have to get the most out of this sale!
So today, I too was bit by the inability to redeem $25 Ultimate Game Cards. I picked up 4 of them, and can't do a thing with them. I can't even redeem them for $20 and again for $5... This is very frustrating...
I've submitted a billing ticket, but with an estimated 3-4 business day response time, am I still going to get the promotional bonus Zen ?
On another side note, I live in California. I went to every authorized reseller I could find of these cards in about a 25 mile radius, and did not find a single $50 card for sale... It was also quite frustrating to not be able to take advantage of the extra bonus for $50 cards.
Ya, just got ripped off by this "promotion" the card is good for 20 dollars, so it tells me that 20 dollars worth if zen costs 21 dollars, so i could only buy a 10 and a 5 dollar zen package with the card, now it has 4 dollars sitting on the card that I can't use, so the bonus points are nullified by the 4 dollars wasted on the cards balance, I am both p%$#ed right off but also can't help but admire the cleverness of this little scam :P
Lets explain: You go to the store and u buy a PWE card. U pay 10 bucks. U get 1000 zen. Done deal
Ok now if u go buy the ultimate game card(which i did thinking i'd get 15% bonus) - u see 20 dollar card.... u pay 21.22 at the til(canadian)
Er.. first off .. ok fine.. paid tax.. lets take this card home.
U punch in the numbers.. u try to buy 2000 points.. your told to 'deposit an additional 1.22'
WHAT?
Ya.. so be warned, a 'ultimate game card' deal you will be able to only spend 15 of the 20 (due to taxes) and your 20 bucks will get you 1625 points, with a rough 3ish bucks left over you can't do jack with.
In the U.S., buying the cards at a local GameStop, there was no tax on these (or similar game card style product) items. $20 card = $20 at the register. So, it wasn't a huge rip off here, sorry if regional issues changed that for you, but it sure wasn't either of the companies involved fault.
Was you able to remedy the situation with the $25 cards? I have a single $25 card too and no idea how to redeem it as well. I emailed them but no idea what they'll say or when.
