    From the Release Notes:

Duration of all T1 and T2 Reputation XP projects has been reduced from 40 hours to 20 hours.
Once you start on Tier 3, the timers go back to 40 hours.

This was a direct quote from the post....

"Reputation XP Project timers are dropping from 40 hours to 20 hours across all Tiers. If you have a project in progress, it will not change, but any new projects after the update will be adjusted. We are also looking into adding the ability to drop a project."

The key word there is all TIERS!

So, I began my project to start working on Tier 3 and it went back up to 40 hours!

Perhaps I could advise that you not stop reading a post once you see the line you like most?

    Underneath the list of changes it states;
"We expect all of the above changes to be live before December. A few will be live by tomorrow, with the rest live around Nov 29th."

    Then in Tuesday's patch notes we have;
"Duration of all T1 and T2 Reputation XP projects has been reduced from 40 hours to 20 hours."

So you see, what he said was in fact completely correct, it came from the patch notes. You just failed to read the bit where it said they wouldn't all be getting changed in Tuesday's patch. :)

As of the date and time of my post, this particular change has not happened. I activated my first two reputation tier three projects yesterday, and I was hit with two 1 day and 15 hour timers.
Omega Conversion Crates can be opened immediately. You will no longer need to achieve T3 in Omega Fleet to open these.
    It has not currently happened.

    I dunno ... entertainment, maybe? :)

But until I see hard cold details which are guarenteed (so the patch notes the day before the patch) I'll not get my hopes up.

So am I missing this or is there noting about dropping the time limit it takes for a item project?

E.g. Omega Armour is 40 hours... Will this be going to 20 or staying at 40.

As stated in first post and referenced in my second quote, D. Stahl posted a disclaimer stating that only some of these changes went into the thanksgiving eve patch, the rest are (supposedly) going into this thursday's patch. The release notes post (the second one) advised the readers exactly which of this list made it in - and according to the notes, only tier 1 and 2 reputation projects had their times cut. Of course, after maybe 2 of these "quickie" projects I completed tier 2 and went right back into the 40 hour durations...

    Hey Everyone,

We have chosen to delay the release of this update by one day, so it will go live on the 30th instead of the 29th. Our software gurus have resolved an issue that will allow us to turn private queues back on and we want an extra day to make sure we can get it up and running properly for everyone this weekend.

I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

If Private queues work and nothing big breaks again, sure, take a day more. ;)

Much better to take an extra day to get it fixed, rather than rush it out and risk breaking the game. Take your time. :)

Oh and I stop leveling reputation since the last patch "adjustments" just stopped at T2, I have no incentive to go back until late Monday.
I just did something similar. I stopped leveling one of my character's reputation, for she has hit the start of tier three. Once I saw the 1 day and 16 hour timers, I suddenly lost all interest in continuing. My next character will stop leveling early tomorrow morning.

All these progressive timers and resource requirements have become a game stopper.

As of the beginning of this week, I went from playing four hours a day to about forty-five minutes a day. I feel myself screeching to a halt. I will most likely be down to 15 minutes tomorrow.

I am also seeing the resources requirements and timers for obtaining the reputation gear as another problem. In order to get the reputation gear (Omega, MACO, Borg, Romulan,etc...), you have to grind insane amounts of resources and wait another 1 day and 16 hours. Its not worth the effort.

I have given up on joining fleets, for they cause division, stress, and strife amongst gamers.

I have given up on working on fleetbases and the reputation system, for the timers and resource requirements are too much for the rewards.

I have started to shop around.

    *shrugs*

I am starting to not care if Cryptic cares.

If they do not do anything significant to reduce the timers and resources (fleetbases, embassy, and reputation system), I will have to rethink about how I play this game. Do I continue? Do I stop? I don't know.

"Star Trek: Online" has become so boring that it sucks the life out of gamers.

    Its sad.

Since the start of this whole mess, I have not been rewarded anything for my time or effort.

Its grind, wait, grind, wait, grind, wait, and now... who cares.

I am putting more time into gathering resources than I am into enjoying the rewards.

    Dan,

Greetinges. Can u please get ur team to fix the 'Tholian Red Alert Event(Daily)' mission bugs? Two thirds of the time we get bugged ones and it warps us out when we click the 'red alert' ques popping on our screen.
And please also make it auto-team upon entering these red alerts, so to avoid my having to locate the same faction plyrs. Btw, I definitely noticed a lot higher successful rate when intelligent plrys accept team invites and it we get full team. The times when it failed usually means 1-2 plyrs won't accept invites. This auto-teamming in red alerts will solve all this nuissances.
Another bugs is when inexperience plyrs engaged the lot of tholian ships at spawn point and gets a whole chain of repeating webs trapping us and killing us repeatedly in each respawns. Kinda funny, sad, and annoying same time when that happens.

Anyhoo, hope your team are already on this, and if not...I hope you agree these issues in Tholian Red Alert events need fixing soon. Thanks for reading this, and thanks very much for the improvements mentioned for next patch. :)
