Please make this a wallpaper.

It's most likely on the way, but I'd really like to see the new splash background as a wallpaper. It's very dynamic with some great art.

I know the splash background is a little broken up but full pic here, if a little small looks fantastic, would love to see it blown up.

This has nothing to do with the hot Vulcan chick at all. Nope, nothing at all!

    It looks like they updated the art for the real splash page. (page you see if you come to the site while not logged into the site)

    edit: if you have the picture why not just make it your wallpaper?

    Larger size but with that kind of border. To get rid of it open up Photoshop and clip that off then you can resize it won't be so blurred.

    I find you all's lack of Photoshop skills disturbing. :D

    I'm about to upload it to imageshack or photobucket in a sec and will link it for you. I had to use Gimp because the Win8 upgrade killed my Photoshop. So probably could have done better if I had the familiar Photoshop.

    We'll be making this into an official wallpaper :) First, though, I have another wallpaper I'll be releasing to y'all this week. It was made by the amazing ThomastheCrypticCat and I think many will enjoy it's retro-ness.

    GIMP for those with minds that join mine in the gutter is actually a free Photoshop alternative. lol

    I'm kinda worried about her actually... she is not really looking where she tries to shoot, her uniform seems far too tight for her bust, and her expression suggest that she is ether tripping badly or in the middle of Pon Farr.

    It doesn't help that the scenery suggest that she is close to a cliff or at least on a mountain and just seems to have stumbled. <.<

    The art is great though. ^^'

    So doubling down on the pandering sexist, objectifying front page image.
    Figured that would be the case.

    I would like to request that the old Front page artwork featuring Handsome Phaser Guy as opposed to idiot who doesn't look where she shoots, who I can't tell if she is running or tripping and falling while she takes a moment to give me a showtime or cinemax worthy face be made into a wallpaper background.

    At least he was kind of iconic and actually looked Trek, not like this laser elf with pouty come hither face we have now on the front page of the website.

    So, please. Wallpaper with Handsome Phaser Guy.

    I second that. The cleavage was unnecessary.
    And it makes the wallpaper nearly impossible to use at my work desk :(

    (I like TRIBBLE and cleavage, but I don't think you need to apply them on everything :P )

    you must not get out that much do you, there is nothing wrong with the way she looks, all it is, is a open version of the Starbase uniform although ingame you don't see the cleavage on the fed side, but the KDF if you have a female toon in KHG gear they have the option to show a little, so IMHO keep it like it is there is nothing wrong with it.

    actually, this picture seems to be FALSE ADVERTISING.
    The Fleet Uniform "Odyssey" (which is awesome high quality compared to some older clothing options) does not have this "open" option that is displayed on the wallpaper.

    It's not Star Trek unless with have sexy women around...hell compared to how players have their characters in game she is tamed....but I guess it's ok to have half naked players walking around in game but ohhhh no don't put it on the site....don't be a bunch of prudes.:rolleyes:

    I also want shirtless men....Kirk style I mean I'm equal opportunity person, and uniforms in game that rip when I'm in battle to show off my chest. :D

    Are we sure she's a Vulcan and not a Romulan, with the big S7 Romulan tie-in and all?

    The new gal looks like a Vulcan/Romulan/Elf hybrid. Not bad, but somewhat out of place...

    But if she is a Vulcan/Romulan mix, it would make a bit more impact for New Romulas and explain her emotional expression a bit more.

    My wife typically shows more cleavage than this, but she's not a Starfleet Officer.

    To my knowledge no Star Trek episode or movie showed any officer on duty wearing something like this -- much less in a combat situation. Janeway stripped down to a tank top in Macrocosm, but there was absolutely no cleavage.

    I challenge you to find any military or serious civil service organization whose uniform code would allow something that shows that much cleavage.

    In civilian life, of course, there's nothing wrong with it. But in a professional organization, much less one in combat, it's just not appropriate.

    Picard is off-duty in that shot -- not in a combat situation, and not in uniform.
