I have to ask, are we actually supposed to be able to view other players' and fleets' information through the Gateway? I know it's just the info, but you can basically view other people's builds, character details, biographies, fleet information and such with ease. I'm just not sure that this is how it should be. Some kind of "hide" option would be nice for people who wouldn't like their characters to be viewable by everybody.
As for other feedback:
Keep getting disconnected randomly. Keeps telling me that "gateway is undergoing maintenance".
Scroll down keeps resetting - moves window to the top at random.
Some chat integration would be nice, so that we can use the in-game chat while outside of the game.

At one time it was actually showing my live characters but for a while now it's been showing my Tribble characters. When can we expect this to get changed or is it still being hooked up to Tribble for testing purposes?

It has been a while since I did Gateway, but it should be two seperate links.
gatewaytest.startrekonline.com should get you to the Test Server one

That's probably it but for at least a few days the bookmark I've been using was showing my live characters. Left me a bit confused when it started showing Tribble characters again.
Ok, I really like this feature, and since there is an opt out, I think that showing history of the character is a great idea, as well as making the sharing of builds, and character options available in an easier fashion...
This will let RPers contact one another, allow for sharing of builds, and generally help the community.
What I would like to see is integration with Chat, (at least your friends list), and integration with the DOFF system to allow offline management of your Duty Officers...
An idea I had that might be fun would be if you log your captain at either DS9 or Drozana, the Gateway would offer a javascript or whatever version of Dabo to play that ties your winnings back into the character database and the accolade.
That's, of course, in addition to the many aforementioned DOff management features and such.
I noticed whilst exploring gateway for the first time extensively that two prominent pvp fleets presently have their fleet rosters hidden from view. Is this an option open to all fleets? If so how is this done?
I'd love to have the Duty Officer system available in the gateway. But what I just realized is that since the missions are dependent on the location of your ship you'd be pretty restricted in your selection. Ideally the gateway would allow you to switch between sectors (maybe with a simulated travel time). Also it would be great if it were to roll all assignments you can get from walking around your ship into the gateway interface.
It would also be nice if you had access to fleet chat through the gateway.
A bit more on the cosmetic side of things: the gateways would be a great place to include a tool to generate some forum signature banners like those crew "family photos" I've seen. That would be a cool feature for those of us less talented in the graphics department...

At the Boff requisition officer on ESD there are "Special" officers. In order to get these Boffs you need a "Veteran Bridge Officer Reassignment Form". I'm not talking about the Caitian, Aenar, Ferasan or Borg. I can get those simply buy purchasing the Reassigment Forms from the Zen store. But, I'm referring to the ones listed in the "Special Officers" tab of the store when you open the store at the Requisition Officer.
These Boffs have the "Leadership" and "Space Warfare Specialist" abilities.
I cannot find a "Veteran Bridge Officer Reassignment Form" anywhere. I've asked several other players about it and they too are at a loss as to where to find this form.
I looked last night at home, and my BOs' traits weren't showing up. The Gateway is under maintenance right now though so I can't check to confirm.
Also, the maintenance message this time is in place of any log in screen; usually it's a pop up overlaid on the log in screen. So that's new / weird (possibly because the servers themselves are offline?).

Those were a reward for players who had a lot of extra currency when there was a currency revamp several months (maybe a year?) ago. Players who lost a lot in the exchange were given a Veteran BO requisition (or more than one) as compensation.

If you are not a member of the fleet being viewed, you can only see the leaders of the fleet. This is automatic.

Yes, this is as intended, however...
...the button can be found in the Social Window (default key "O") Search tab by clicking on the Privacy button towards the bottom-right.

"leaders of the fleet" as in people at the top fleet rank? Or senior officers/people that can recruit?
