Fleet ship and changing fleets.

I'm thinking of getting a Fleet Ship and using EC to get the 4 FSM's I need but someone just said if I move fleets I'll lose the ship is this true or just rumor mill stuff?

Quite an amusing thought. No this is of course not true. It's not even a rumor, just plain wrong and I can't see how someone would come to this thinking.

I was all good thinking cool, then got the tiniest doubt thrown in and it messed up the plan lol

It's likely the misconception that anything you earn in a fleet stays in a fleet.

While this is true for Duty Officers and other resources (such as fleet marks) spend (or rather, they go *poof*), Anything you earn for yourself (Lifetime Fleet Marks and Personal Fleet Marks) stays with you.

Except for the privileges you have in your current fleet:

YOU DON'T LOOSE ANYTHING WHEN CHANGING FLEETS.

Fleets are kinda like Las Vegas... the things that happen to make you leave the Fleet can stay there, but at least you get to take your baggage home. You won't get back what you invested in fleet projects, but you get to keep anything and everything you get from the fleet stores, and your Fleet Credits are... well... your Fleet Credits.

You will probably have to earn the right to purchase items from the new fleet's store, though, since it is generally expected that you actually contribute to the fleet before using that fleet's Provisions.
