Which has nothing to do with phasers/phaser rifles and phaser beam arrays (ship weapons). That is equipment/technology, not people.
Those phasers have to penetrate the newfangled personal shields and whatever energy or physical shields and armor are protecting people and strongpoints.
The beam arrays have to penetrate new deflector technology and thicker, stronger hulls.
Nothing to do with the people. I'm talking tech.:)
lol you need to watch that EP again if this is what you got from it
Nope, he's right on the money. Picard wasnt really flying through time, Q was just playing with him. It was nothing more than a Q version of a holodeck.
lol you need to watch that EP again if this is what you got from it
Um... yeah... that's what happened. The crew doesn't remember how Picard changed the past, and it's likely the future doesn't happen the way it's portrayed. In fact, according to STO it didn't happen.
Part of the reason I like to keep asking for it is becuase I love to see Trek fans argue over how something can or can't exist in a fictional universe.
Also I know Cryptic will sell boat loads of them and that will generate money for the game and that helps me as an LTS. If Cryptic does release it you can expect it as a $25 ship or even a lockbox ship.

sure if that helps you sleep at night i will say yes it was in his head
Actually, in an interview about the movie one of the writers said the reason the ship looked different in the 09 movie is because its design was influenced by scans of the Narada that the surviving crew of the Kelvin were able to bring back to Starfleet. This means that the JJ-prise was more advanced than the TOS connie because it was influenced by future tech.
The same would have also been true of KDF ships in the JJ-verse, since the Klingons actually captured Nero and his crew(in deleted scenes).
Sounds like an after-the-fact attempt at justification (literary cheating).
It was never mentioned or implied in the movie, and the Enterprise did not look that much more advanced than the Kelvin. The weaponry and appearance of the Kelvin in the 2009 movie was also more advanced looking than the original series, but it was in place before the Narada appeared. Based on that, the writer's claim appears flimsy at best.
to a point lets say a constitution not going to have the power output of a galaxy or any ship of that size you can only upgrade a PC to a point befor you just need to get a new one

Neither will a Miranda but that's gotten a big retrofit.

Maybe it is, but we dont get to decide the story, they do. They've even gone so far as to recently say that the new comic series that takes place between the movies is canon:

Which means nothing to STO since STO is based on the Star Trek Prime storyline, not the rebooted alternate universe.
The 2009 movie even said it had become an alternate timeline. The original Spock was still alive and all that had happened to him and in his universe still existed in the original timeline.
If JJ-verse is the new canon eliminating TOS, then nothing from any TV series -- not TOS, TNG, DS9, or Voyager -- exists anymore. That is not the case in STO.
So the original point I was making concerning an inconsistent viewpoint still stands.
The Trek purists in my hates the idea of a T5 Connie. The Trekkie in my loves the idea. I can't reconcile those two ideas in my head or heart.
STO is about my Liberated Borg Federation Captain with his Breen 1st Officer, Jem'Hadar Tactical Officer, Liberated Borg Engineering Officer, Android Ops Officer, Photonic Science Officer, Gorn Science Officer, and Reman Medical Officer jumping into their Jem'Hadar Carrier and flying off to do missions for the new Romulan Empire. But for some players allowing a T5 Connie to be used breaks the canon in the game.
What do you mean "show you"? If you watch the episode its common sense. But like they say, common sense isnt really that common.
no i can take it he saved the universe with Q's help
Q reveals that he is the cause of Picard's time jumping
but as i said all this talk for a T5 constitution never going to happen CBS said so so again all this talk is pointless CBS not going to change there minds because ppl want to talk about it on a forums that CBS most likely never takes a look at
Wrong again. It wasnt really the future because there wasnt really time travel. It was all in Picard's head; he didnt actually go anywhere.
Funny, Memory Alpha disagrees with you. If it had all been a mindgame there would have been no reason for Picard to solve it. Everything Q did to the crew of the Enterprise over the course of the series was real. Why should this be different?

If you think talking about it is pointless then replying to it is equally pointless. But you still did it anyway.
You know, I've decided I want a T5 Connie if for any reason, give me something else to fight along side! I am so sick of pulling into a match and having the same ships EVERYWHERE. Endgame missions are nothing but Odysseys, Armitages, Defiants, and the occasional MVAM, or something else.
Same for PvP. Same ships, similar builds, give me something else, continuity, sensibility, logic and reason be damned!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xeLqsvFO31o - eh close enough, but that's what I want to see happen for everyone that buys a T5 connie, as soon as you get into space, it just blows up.

Oh you're no fun. -_-
What's with all the Connie hate? I don't even want one, but I can understand all of it's fans. Why should the detractors get what they want and leave the TOS/First few movie fans out in the cold?

We probably won't get a Constitution but I still hope for the Excalibur/Vesper/Exeter to take her place.

Because it's like listening to some depression era gents wanting to refit a Ford Model T and seeing it compete in the Indianapolis 500.
We need less old people (that means you T5 connie TOS fans) paying for their groceries in pennies and holding up the line!
Just use the connie that's already in game and march off into being soylent green with that.
But I digress, if the T5 connie goes in game, then I want my captain to pilot a beefed up No Win Scenario style bioneural warhead platform that sends my redshirts off to target T5 connies.

Well then, I hope as soon as you get your Assault Cruiser Refit it explodes deleting your character forever.

Which is the argument for a T5 TOS or TMP Connie.
Funny how these arguments tend to come full circle and never resolve anything.

It depends on how you define "real".
