Can't buy Zen

otowiotowi Member Posts: 600 Arc User
For some odd reason, I can't buy Zen.

I'm getting a message stating that the transaction was denied (or something close to that)

I have quadruple checked my info, and it's all in order, as is my CC info and the CVV thingy.

My bank can't help me much either...

And when trying to contact support, I just get an error msg stating that there are too many redirects (both in Fire Fox and IE)

What can I do now??

Many people can;t buy Zen and/or are hitting the redirect problem as well. A quick scan of the most recent posts as well as maybe some searching should show you lots on the topics.

All I can say is to send in a ticket. They have a support address in this sticky:

One word of advice. Error codes are given for a reason. Always give them and don;t sum them up please. The actual error gives a dev something to go on. Changing them into your own words leaves all of the required information out.

My STO account was created when I was living in USA.

My PW account was created when I lived in Asia.

Since I travel between the 2 places I discovered that STEAM does not allow me to purchase when I am outside of the USA.

WHen in Asia we have PW cards onsale at every street corner internet cafe luckily.

    MY SOLUTION TO ALL: vpn
many free ones allow me to purchase when im traveling... really a pain to keep a pc on in another country just to use remote desktop for purchases.... but its anotehr option if you have friends (if thats your issue)
    :P

    okay then...

When I try now i get this message:

You can not use your credit/debit card for the next 24 hours.
This restriction cannot be lifted manually by you or our service team. You may try again tomorrow or choose an alternative payment method.

Any idea what might be the cause of that message?

More likely that's either your bank or the merchant account that PW/Cryptic uses. Did you try running it more than once? May have triggered something.

Found out today from calling my bank that there is a new law in Norway preventing the use credt/debit cards in place now that makes using such sites as Moneybookers and or online gambling illegal.

The only way I can buy Zen now is by using PayPal, wich is technically illegal aswell, but since PP are based outside Norway, there's not much the government can do about it...

Was so mad when I got that message from my bank about the new law...
