"Q: (aegon1ice) Obviously Season 7 will be all about Story. Can we at least expect to see a Romulan faction in Season 8? Dstahl: Who says a Romulan faction can?t be all about story?"
Things that make you go hmmm, So to me it sounds like we will get the Romulans as a playable faction in season seven I hope I'm right about this if I am it's good bye SWTOR.
I think it is more likely that they might be trying for it, but it could still fall through.
One question I have is that there is no Fleet version of the Akira, going by information I got from a fleetmate, and I am curious as to why there is none if their might be one in the future.
You all people who thinks about romulan faction should go read April edition Gates of Stovokor. THERE WAS CLEARLY AND OPENLY STATED - that getting KDF more mission or creating another faction Will need : Build completly new TEAM and will require MASSIVE ammount of time. And will be PAYED expansion . So no, dont expect romulan faction.
Maximum what you Should expect is few more mission including Romulans.
even if you are a Fleet of yourself plus Alts, you may effectively not join a Fleet and still face these same challenges in order to obtain the ships.
I didn't think it was possible to start up a Fleet just by yourself. Don't you need at least 4 other players to do this? (And no, I'd rather not create 4 other accounts just to do this. I did try that once in Champions, but it would have involved playing each of the alts for a number of days, so seemed like more effort than it was worth).
people create alt fleets every day
you ask in zone chat and some REALLY nice people will help you out (if its fed I can currently help you myself feel free to message me if you want help)
Q: (aegon1ice) Obviously Season 7 will be all about Story. Can we at least expect to see a Romulan faction in Season 8?
Dstahl: Who says a Romulan faction can?t be all about story?
ten bucks says this one comes back to bite dstahl in the asymmetric photons at some point in the near future. it was unwise to imply anything by making this statement
not to mention if somehow the romulans DID show up for season 7 that would open up alot of questions as to why the KDF isn't seeing development. if you have resources for romulans you have resources for them

and this was...where? because I can't find it. nor does any of that make sense. no 'new team' is necessary. they built everything else without one. and where are all these people they have hired? massive amount of time? No. its missions and reskins of existing systems. the faction framework is already there. If it takes a 'massive amount of time' to do something like they did with the KDF i'd start wondering whats really going on. and paid? nobodys ever said such a release was going to be paid. Players suggested it. this is a free to play game. now owned by a company that explicitly has stated they do NOT charge for content. so that in itself makes me question anything you said here

Yeaaaah... they're not available in the fleet vendors yet, but they most certainly DO exist - read the shipyard stats, there's a Fleet Heavy Escort Refit and a Fleet Heavy Escort Carrier (that's Akira and Armitage respectively, meaning fed fleet players will get access to a carrier for free!)
Infinite possibilities have implications that could not be completely understood if you turned this entire universe into a giant supercomputer.

In regards to my question. I feel that waiting till season 7, to fix something that has annoyed the player base since the STF Revamp, is a bad decision. Similar to the increase in fleet cap. There have been fleets asking for an increase for over a year and a half that I personally recall, the call for it now will be higher, pushing it off more is a bad decision especially with a Fleet Centric update. These fixes, and other things, are some things that I don't feel can wait for another season. As it stands if a free to play player finds themselves still at game at endgame, they will probably be turned off by a luck of the draw mechanic.

False! It's all about Sisko!
Also, what about sectors that exist in different time periods? You know so we could make use of our TOS Constitution.

Nothing really interesting. No questions on the KDF were included and many possible or perhaps in the future stetements.
Well, in the past his answers to KDf questions were only causing flame wars. Cryptics attitude about the KDF is very clear. And I for one can certainly live without things like "bang for the bug" or the infamous chicken/egg meme.
Oh and btw, he said Kirk.... he must have been loaded when he answered that. :P
1) When will the Klingon Federation war end since it would only be logical that at some point the Federation would seek a diplomatic solution.
2) Will emote packs make a return in either the C store or GPL store on DS9 and can you give us a date or time when this would happen since I have some emotes that are locked at the moment like Air guitar etc.
3) Will the CXP ranks be tweaked so that you don't need so many points for its such a grind and I have multiple characters and grinding forever to get them to max diplomatic rank for example is such hard work especially since the DOFF system is the best way to do this?
4) Will the TR-116 rifle be put in the C store at all for I would like it since it relates to DS9
5) When will the dilithium cost for crafting be removed since you already pay for items with samples and schematics.
One thing that saddens me if I am reading Mr. Stahl's comment correctly is that it sounds like new storyline missions are not a priority. Repeating dailies and the like that do not advance the story or provide character immersion are fine as side games for me, but I enjoy running story arcs on my characters.
I'm neither a PvPer nor a raider; STFs hold no particular interest for me. Missions and story arcs are my favorite part of the game. Compared to other MMOs, STO has very few. What they have is solid, but they need more for both factions. I'm certainly glad that the mission content scales to rank now; I have VAs still doing Lt. level content because the capped quickly via Doff missions.
Hopefully when DStahl mentioned content in the new sector block being similar to what we have in other sectors that will include a good number of story arcs as well, not just patrols and alerts. Perhaps I misinterpreted his remarks regarding mission development. If so, then thank you to Mr. Stahl and the dev team.:)
Q: (aegon1ice) Obviously Season 7 will be all about Story. Can we at least expect to see a Romulan faction in Season 8?
Dstahl: Who says a Romulan faction can?t be all about story?
I bet it's just trolling.

What's the saying about insanity? Doing things the same way and expecting different results? We have to learn to stop expecting different results regarding our beloved Romulans.
Let us upgrade the Seleya Ceremonial Lirpa and Kri'stak Blade

Ok I read that and basically what I took from it is more in regards to adding Klingon only sectors and making them totally different from the Federation. That doesn't mean we can't get a Romulan faction along the current state of the KDF, sharing certain sectors and missions.
Let us upgrade the Seleya Ceremonial Lirpa and Kri'stak Blade
Q: (ravin) Is there any way we can have a separate small craft list and Starship list to free up ship slots without having to decommission our small craft?
Dstahl: We are still considering this issue. We agree that maintaining a large Fleet of ships is daunting and requires decommissioning and reclaiming in order to shuffle between the various ships you command. In the meantime, you will need to continue to swap your active ship roster and reclaim old ships in order to get around the ship cap. There are only a handful of players in this situation at the moment, but we do want to have a better solution in the future.
What game are you talking about? STO has tons of people in this situation.
Q: (deewbot) How does it feel to know you have made one of the GREATEST MMO’s of all time? Because it is in fact my all-time favorite? Also I have to ask – Kirk or Picard?
Dstahl: It feels pretty awesome. Working on this game is a dream come true. I’m looking forward to seeing where this ship can take us and hopefully history will remember us well.

If STO is one of the "greatest" MMO's of all time.....I do not want to see one of the "worst."
If they are going to release a Voyager pack, I sure hope they add something for the Klingons, perhaps a Kazon ship and interior or something like that. All this Federation only content makes me sick.
couldn't help but notice he didn't answer any of the kdf specific questions...
Typical huh and people say the community is what makes this how game faction vs faction, when in fact it all started by Cryptic, by being so bias and Federation centred. I honestly think they have no sense of artist pride otherwise their main focus would be bug hunting and getting the KDF up to scratch with the Federation.
Support the Game by Supporting the KDF, equality and uniqueness for all factions!

1. Is this a Dev in disguise asking this question.
2. Is it Dan asking himself the question.
3. Even the CDF wouldn't say/ask such an asinine statement as this, so it must be a joke no?
4. STO is that awesome and a dream come true, that you bailed out when the going got tough eh?
Sounds like you're backtracking again and reverting back to "soon" and " we would like to"...

If I do not see season six in the main game soon, within a matter of a few days, I will most likely not be around for a season seven. As someone who is a casual player, I think the gap in between season five and six is already too long. Unless they start implementing new content soon, I may end up finding another game to play.
Perfect World should skip the testing server, so they can get new content out faster. Beta testing can always be done in house. I have been playing "Star Trek: Online" since around February. Approximately two to three months ago, my attention had started to change gears.
I do not think I can hold on too much longer.
I think it might be too late. Many of the people I know are already talking about leaving, for they feel season six is still too far away from being released. Its just a matter of a few days or a few hours.
Perfect World only has a three day window of opportunity, and then I will decide upon my next course of action.
Do I stay? Do I go? *shrugs* I will have to wait an see what happens next.

Alpha testing is what's normally done inhouse. Beta (and release candidates) is usually with test subjects. Or at least that's how it's always been explained to be with what I do.
Oh and heck no on skipping the testing server. Some of the missions right now are seriously bugged. (Search for fire as an example) If they had rolled out as is, there would be a lot more havoc on the forums now than it is currently.

I know a lot of people are starting to change interests.
