*Dalos Alpha Prime, Dak'rin Military Base. The base is home to the 41st Assault Ops Battallion, also known as the 'Defenders'. In one of the barracks, Captain Kara Reeves is cleaning her white helmet with green highlights when a klaxon sounds. She looks back, groaning as she notices her company bearing the same exasperated look.*

Kara: Don't look at me. An alert's an alert! Move!

*The company snap into action, putting on their helmets and gabbing their recon gear as they hurry to the courtyard.

5 minutes later, Kara stands at the front of the company, arrayed into columns by platoon, as the Lieutenant Colonel in Command waits for orders. After a while, he's seen talking over his helmet comm.*

Lt. Col. *irritated*: Attention. This has been a readiness drill. All troops are dismissed.

*As the troopers begin to disperse, Kara looks at Triss next to her.*

Kara *annoyed*: That's the 3rd time this week...

Triss: Well we are pretty much on the brink of civil war and have the arcadians to worry about. ITs annoying but I can understand them really wanting us to be ready.

*OOC: I will get back to the Arcadians soon enough.. Had to figure somethings out. But I think I ought to move some things along. If Coulson and anyone else is there should be fun..*

*UNSC space Borg Vessels arrive and soon begin to invade the Planet on the border of the UNSC, Republic, and Federation.. The alive drones stay back as their dead breathren begin to beam down on the population center already infected with the disease.. *

    *In a morgue*

Jim: TRIBBLE.. Borg.. get to the shelter..

*A thump and crash is heard from the doors behind him.. then more as the mist begins to form...*

Jim: *squinting through the mist trying to find the way out, hears cries and stabbing wounds.. * Greg? Nancy..

*A drone hand grabs him from the mist and injects nanotubes into his neck leaving sickly grey invading his bloodstream..*

    *On the Enterprise J*

    *Casval's quarters*

*Casval sits infront of a terminal digging through archives trying to place that face he saw on the viewscreen. He does come across the files of a long gone family member.. who was assimilated in his career.. Becoming the spear point of the Borg invasion of Deferi and the elimination of the Breen.. *

Casval: That can't be right.. He has been dead for a long time.. Would the Borg even retain him in their collective mind after all those changes by the Elibisi...Decanus of Borg...

Computer did he have any samples of blood taken from him?

    Computer: Cannot comply... Access restricted..

Casval: Damn it.. Alright... Computer access the personal file of Chris Allen..

    *He looks at the screen*

There has to be a reason behind this..

    *In James Jr's quarters*

James jr: Yes Cassie she kicked me right in the groin.. Rather hard kick too..

Cassie: Can't blame her, she was scared out of her mind.. not to mention she had no idea who you are..

James Jr: I know.. and I know you do despite the TRIBBLE you get from some of the family..

Cassi: Like I care at this point.. There was a point in life where I would have cared about their approval..

James Jr: I know but still.. fighting with them is not advisable.

    Cassi: Anyway.. that Romulan girl..

*She rolls over to face him..*

Didn't catch your eye did she?

James Jr: After that mule kick kind of hard not to.. Not everyday that happens.

    *Cassi sighs*

    Cassi: You loveable fool..

    *She does smirk*

Think I should give you a swift kick? Hmm?

*She gives him that playful look*

James Jr: Oh no.. Once was enough..

Officer: aye sir all fighters launch

Harper: get a message to any other nearby ships I have a feeling we will need all the help we can get.

Officer: sending out a general call of assistance.

Gillian: That was a close call.. I don't think we could have taken on all those Borg.

Sasha: No. He knows how to handle himself..

*The swarm does come as the tactics change as the left flank is coming under heavy fire.. The Assimilated Command ship dwarfs many of the UNSC vessels and its shields do show their Elibisi origin and it releases assimilated probes that begin to engage the fighters.. The main force is ignoring the UNSC, the actual drones are continuing their invasion..*

OoC: Not conditioned in the usual sense though. Oh and Mephiles isn't trying to be rude its true that for what he does its best if his organization isn't well known. After all when you pull off stunts like blowing up the republic capital its best if they don't know who exactly to go after.

*The Dead drones converge on the left flank and begin to outflank the center, the patchwork ships may go down but the problem is that there are so many of them.. Seems like to Harper they assimilated more than just the fleet several years ago, but every other missing vessel in the galaxy as well.. The planet below goes silent as Borg signals begin to function on the surface... They have their foothold now.. The actual drones turn their vessels back to them. Harper now faces the combined might of the invasion force.. and much like the Enterprise on the other side of the fence.. Decanus comes on screen again..*

Decanus: We wish to raise the quality of life of all species.

*He raises his hands as the Borg vessels fire off somekind of warhead at the defeated vessels or the inoperable ones as the dead begin to rise again.. Assimilated... Their forces growing again. A memory of the old war against the Old Machines comes to memory...*

    Resistance is futile..

Harper: to hell you want to make life better. Commander order all ships to destruct if they cant get out.

    Commander Ramn: Yes sir

Harper: Also prepare nova warheads if we cant stop them here we destroy the planet.

    Ramn: yes sir.

Harper watchs the view screen as orders are relayed as the 5th attack wing arrives on the left flank and a small number of allied undine ships appear to aide the unsc forces

The command ship shakes as it is hit from enemy fire.

Harper: the 5th attack wing wad to overlap with the battle group episolom they came in to far on the flank! Try to patch me through to the undine commander.

Officer: comm systems are down sir the borg seem to be trying to jam all comm traffic.

Harper: work around it. We can't coordinate with comm systems down.

    Officer : yes sir.

    Republic capital

Osman: burns have a look at this.

    Burns and Asher walk over.

    Burns: they engaged the borg?

Osman: yes. It would seem Harper is trying to drive them from the system
