At lot of the people are still not happy with this look at the bigger picture Cryptic have seen we cannot stand lockboxes and they are giving us another option. A Step in the right direction I think
I spend over 4,000 C points on this pack, and I got a warriors skirt on one of my Orions. I would have loved the ship, but I have anti-luck when it comes to games of chance. A good friend gave me a D'Kora, so I am lucky in other ways. I got the things I wanted that didn't require luck, so I didn't really lose. Thanks!

People you are forgating that you dont need to spend c points, just buy gamma duyy packs from the exchange or jalso ust buy jemmy from the exchange, there is no need to spend real money!

Brought two GQ DOFF packs; no Bug ship in either pack, but still - nice set of DOFF's and suppose the Lobi's will come in useful for buying something from the Lobi-Store at some point.
Actually pretty impressed with this setup though, and big thumbs-up to the Dev's for implementing it - granted, I wasn't lucky enough to get the ship, but you can't really lose as such - you're still getting what you paid for, it's exactly what was advertised, and anything else that comes with it really is just an added bonus.
I can buy into ideas like this. Lockbox is fail. This promo your selling a product that we know what where going to get with the slim chance of something extra. I like it
This is a step in the right direction! However with that said it should be opened up to the entire c-store transactions you do as a person. Keep the odds very low but offer it on all transactions not on transactions that have a cap limit on them.

I have to agree here. Lock boxes are junk, the lobi crystals pay outs are horrible and you have a remote chance of a fairly unique ship.
With the DQP you know you are buying a DOFF pack, but it comes with the equivallent of three or more average lock boxes worth of lobi crystals (in my experience) guaranteed and the remote chance of a unique chance of a fairly unique ship as a bonus.
They don't clog up bank inventory space, they don't take anything away from the immersion factor by plonking a massive great box in the middle of your game, they don't clog up stf need or greed options, they are there if you want to buy them or you can leave them. You're buying an item and get extra stuff.
If you are buying them purely to win a bug then that is a definite gamble and you take your chances like everyone else but if you accept them for what they are I can't see the problem.
I'd much rather see more of this than endless waves of lock boxes.

As with others in this thread, I like this promotion, compared to the Lockboxes. You get what you paid the 220CP for: 7 DOffs. Then you also get 10 Lobi (or a hypersmall % chance (~1% is my guess) chance at the Bug Ship).
I have also been amazed at the overwhelmingly positive response to this. I have no idea what their numbers are looking like in comparison to the standard lock box sales, but if they are anywhere NEAR close they should stick with this going forward.
Just as others have said, this is the way forward instead of the lockboxes - plus you dont fall foul of various countrys gambling laws as was mentioned in other threads - loads of people will buy c-points to get the packs while others - as well as buying them - will get them via Dilithium to c-points and from the exchange.

Big thumbs up to the developers/PR people for this promo. This is the way to do it. Bought 4 cadres last night, didnt win the ship, but still feel like i got my moneys worth.
The problem with this system is that you do not have unlimited space for doffs!
You can use the DOff grinder at SFA/KA (the personnel officer allows you to trade 5:1 for the next quality up), or you can just sell excess DOffs on the exchange.
I've been lurking a lot at late, figured my feedback wasn't worth bupkis.
But this is something I feel strongly in favor of over the other promotions of the past.
I like the fact that you you know what you're getting, DOFFs, and a set amount of lobis. with a chance to get the grand prize.
This is one heck of an improvement over the lockbox gimmick.
If you were to ask my opinion, I'd offer this "chance" to win a ship on everything from respecs to name changes, HELL to EVERY C store purchase.
It's a win win.

spent 0 cp, and got the ship + subnuc doff (140millons) + tons of other doffs + 110 lobis

Not sure about the lobi ones but I;ve had multiple copies of the Hamlet ones without an issue.
