    I am also having problems loading the launcher.

    wtf right i cant log on i cant get the launcher to launch i bypass the client and load the exe it open log in window but never connects to the game says server timed out everytime i can not uninstall and reinstall i have 3g device i use for net it was fine last night its not a bad file or all of us would not be getting the same thing and some of us can get on and some cant sounds like a server prob to me i dunno if they have servers for different time zones that might account why some of us r on and some can not lol midwest here anyone else in my local not working :mad:

    lol i have seen you flying around gooddaytodie but yeah so i guess its not just time zone based lol wth anyhelp and how come crypic or whoever is not answering these complaints and give us some info

    I am having the same problem. It was fine last night and this afternoon will not launch

    i dunno but yeah i went to bed it was working i get up this morn since 6 messing with it nothin now 8 16 and still nothin lol

    well i live in Australia and iv been afflicted by this for over 13 hours now iv tried everything that people here have suggested nothing is working but my friend who lives 1 suburb over is not afflicted by this so i dont think its regional who it affects is random
    whats really annoying me is that i haven't got my *Reman Bridge Officer* yet please fix this soon:(

    it seems as though this is happening to many people,(im not having this problem btw) you would think cryptic would adress this issue?

    yeah you would think with so many problems and post someone would reply to the problem its not an exe prob i can bypass the launcher and i get the main log in screen but then you sit and wait for account server and it times out so i dunno but why no fixy lol i mean they have been riddled with problems come on guys get it together

    man i would be ****ed lol if i knew i had a nieghbor basically who was working fine but yeah i dunno very upset and reinstalling does nothing so maybe it is acount based but why lol :confused: oh but i did get my remen bridge officer after doing all the romulan missions over but i have heard people with that problem too

    yes, i am facing the same problem.

    launch "Star Trek Online.exe" and get launcher problem.

    launch "GameClient.exe" and stuck at login page trying to contact account server then time out.

    He had a different problem than we do his error was something to do with lock files and error writing to them.

    but its definatly not everyone i just sent an email thru this site and got a response from one of my fleet members so im pretty sure its not me but wth lol but yeah the auto launcher thing giving me a no response response lol

    Ok I can confirm that getting the launcher file from a working version, fixes this. I had a copy on my work computer.

    Well, I thought maybe it was a server issue that they would fix, but it wasn't. A friend of mine Emailed me his working Star Trek Online.exe file and as soon as I replaced mine with his, it connected fine or seemed to...I got the log on screen, then the loading screens, then as it was attempting to load the character list, POW error patching file. Now it is back where it started. So even that attempt seems to not to work.

    well **** and i just asked someone to email the file but yeah not even just the launcher prob i can get past that even into the log on screeen but times out before it connects to account server :confused:

    exactly i dont think its a patch error i think they did something wrong in the accounts i have checked my friends list on here and only 2 in my fleet r online and i know for a fact that our fleet leader is online dam near 24 7 and hes not on so im betting he is having same problem along with the rest of my friends who are not online

    I was hoping by now to get the Devs attention to this issue. I don't see a single dev post in this thread. I hope their working on a fix. I have the greatest Foundry mission of all time to complete.

    i know right im disabled and this is all i have to the outside world and now im stuck ive sent an email they said i would have an answer 3 to 4 bussiness days lol

    your kidding gees that is slack if this isnt fixed within 6 hours i say to hell with it i got better things to do im seeing less and less reasons everyday for coming back and playing this game i was going to go gold but if they have bugs like this still in game it would be a waste of time and money

    A dev post would be nice.

    Look at my sig guys, it shouldn't be to hard to figure out how much time (and money) I spend on this game! This is obviously a Cryptic-side error, at the very least let us know you are on top of things.

    I apologize for the inconvenience you are experiencing. There are many others experiencing the same problem.

    Have you checked on the Forums and website for posts and updates to see if the game is down for server maintenance?

    It might be. If so, just wait a little while and try later. Review the Forums and website, and restart your PC.

    and the second:
    Hello.

    Your issue may be related to recent updates with the game.

    Please try the following:

    To Force Verify you just need to select ""Force Verify"" from the Options menu on the game launcher window. You will need to be logged into the launcher to access this option. Once the game has completed verifying and re-patching the missing game files you should be able to log back in.

    If that does not work, please attempt the following:

    Here's some information that can help you.

    Please first restart your computer and network hardware and try again before trying anything else.

    You may have to be on a Windows Admin account, or have Run as Admin access to be able to download, install, update, and run the game. If on Windows Vista or 7, you may have to change the level of your UAC settings or turn them off temporarily.

    After you get the game updated and get in game, you can uninstall Pando Media Booster or shut it down (PMB.exe in Windows Task Manager) if you start getting unusual lag spikes, system resource problems, bandwidth issues, or other network issues.     You may need to update or install the latest Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable. You may need to update your version of Windows, also may need to update to the latest version of DirectX and Internet Explorer 8 or 9 with Javascript enabled.     You can try adding the game folder/files to your exceptions list in your antivirus and firewall software. Please see the help menu or support website for the software that you use if you aren't sure how to do it.

    At your own risk, you may have to disable your antivirus, firewall, and other security software temporarily while you download, install, update, login to, and play the game. Sometimes the security software will block it or throttle it, no matter what you try or even if you try to add exceptions for the game files in your security software.

    You may also have to disable, shut down, uninstall, or disable any: torrent, keyboard/mouse, web browser toolbars, video/screen capture, gamepad/input device, multimedia, Instant Messaging, voice over IP, web browser games, other games software applications before downloading, installing, updating, logging into, and playing the game. Basically shut down all non-essential programs.

    - You can try using the Task Manager built into Windows to review what processes and services are running on your computer that might be causing problems or using too many resources. Ctrl+ALT+Del and then select Task Manager, then select the Processes Tab.

    You may need a program like Winzip or WinRAR to extract the file. Put the executable file (ends in .exe) in a folder location where you can find it easily, like your Desktop or Documents. Then just start it up.

    If you could please send us DxDiag and HijackThis logs, that will help us to diagnose the problem. It'll be helpful to us if you tell us some of your computer's information, and PLEASE include any screenshots of any bugs or errors that you get.

    To create a dxdiag log, go to Start, click on Run (or Search if using Windows 7 or Vista), then type in dxdiag and press Enter on your keyboard.

    Click on Save All Information, then attach the text file to this ticket (If on a 64bit system, look for and click on the Save 64bit Dxdiag button beside the Save All Information button).

    To create the HijackThis log, go to http://www.download.com/Trend-Micro-HijackThis/3000-8022_4-10227353.html or http://www.trendsecure.com/portal/en-US/tools/security_tools/hijackthis then download and install the program.

    Click Do a system scan and save a log file, then attach the text file to your reply.

    Why don't Cryptic just post a latest working copy of "Star Trek Online.exe"?

    Apparently, this launcher autoupdate is broken. period.

    thats what im saying every since the ftp TRIBBLE man just been riddled with problems i use to pay im glad i dont still it would be a total waist i guess im going back to the 360 lol ****ers and i really like the game when it works and i tried it still not going

    wtf man really i just dont dee it being firewall or anti virus when i was playing just yesterday lol and we ar all getting the same errors and even when you sjkip the auto launcher the server still times out on you taking you back to log in screen but how can it be your system when everything else works my net is fine i can play every game i have cept this one and its not just you and me almost my intire fleet is offline and that is not normal plus being all over the world it sounds like they did something to the account server and its picking and choosing who gets on next how do you force verify or anything if the freakin launcher wont even open dumb asses i mean come on we r not stupid yes we have restarted and yes some of us have even reinstalled to no effect i saw one guy got the launcher exe from a friend online which fixed the launcher but still could not get on the game would not let him into the account so i mean **** they are going to lose alot of people not that people are not already mad about every time they fix something 10 more thing go wrong hire some better ****ing help and this automated bull re[plys i mean come on

    geeze i dont play wow but im starting to think about i mean **** ive been on here everyday when they r not shut down since atleast feb and it getting ridiculas i have one of my fleet metes sending me thier copys of folders and so on but i seriously doubt that s going to do either since if you bypass the launcher and log in the account server still times out and then they tell you to check your internet connecting while your talking to them hello can we have a brain please

    Wow just a string of automated answers...
    We really need to get a dev to post to this thread. It's impossible for us to all have the same file go corrupt at the same exact time. They have servers down or something. I will be happy to to see a Dev pop in and say, "We are aware of the problem and are working on it"

    This lack of contact is getting extremely frustrating.
