I'm quite confident, that this tactics can work with three in CSE IF it's me, Ferdzso and some other hi-DPS-er fleet-mate (I don't include the Cobalt-3M miners, cause they're another matter). I switched to total AoE setup since last week, and I know that Ferdzso has a higher DPS in his Vesta than I do in my 5 Tactical consoles ship. But I wouldn't try it in a PuG (and I'm a PuG-er). As an example is the following story:
.
why am I the only one with the same name on forums (more or less thx to the account linking) as ingame? who are you?
also to be fair, I deal more dps in my vesta than I do in MY 5 tac console escorts so at this point, I would blame the escorts (I know I play them wrong)
and yeah, CSE can easily be done with 3 players. with 4, with RML we did an easy job, and still managed to get a decent time on the timer left (well most pugs and elitestf folks would consider it a great time for even 5 ppl, lolz)
ISE - entered with my all-time favorite ship, my Fleet Rhode Island. I won't go off on one of my long rants, but the transformers were popped early, and we had a fool, flying a Sovereign class with all the Borg-visual nonsense enabled who obviously had a sci BOFF in the uni slot, and seemed to love popping GW at every oportunity.
So when the time came to pop the generator, genius fires off his GW again - right at the generator. Suffice to say, the normal spheres that were hovering above the genny get pulled into the generator - needless to say, this caused targeting issues for some, and resulted in plasma spam for all.
I advise said fool to use GW for crowd control, and explain that it's usually better to fire it off at the approaching nanite spheres if you're going to use it at all.
Reply forthcoming? "GW causes kinetic damage and hurts the generator". I TRIED to explain that the kinetic damage it causes is not really significant in said context, and GW is far better utilised as a crowd-control measure. I proceeded to demonstrate by popping GWIII at the remaining nanite spheres, which bunched them together nicely - one blew and the resulting explosion severely damaged the others.
This was not, of course, sufficent to convince genuis who proceeded to do the exact same thing with the second generator. One of the other players present chastised him for it this time and I, again, tried to point out that his use of GW was far from useful.
.
Assuming you have two people with GW and one of them uses it on the nanite sphere spawns, there is actually no reason what-so-ever to not use GW in the generator to pull the initial 2 spheres in so you can AoE them while burning down the generator. I do it often and it works fantastically. "Targeting issues" sounds like a pretty silly excuse to me to be perfectly honest.

Well...I couldn't tell left from right when I did my registration, so...now my character has a female name (I thought I was naming the personage itself)
I'll give you a hint - it was the 1vs1 you did with me, after which you said that the Romulan T4 skill in an OP....and then it got nerfed
I'm still waiting for you to save for the right escort (FAE), so that I can figure out if it's worthy to use a retrain token on my captain.
Another hint - I probably got the first FAE in the fleet. Everyone seemed to be happy with their Fleet Defiants at that time.
I did a CSE yesterday that just seemed doomed to failure.
I warp in, people generally go in the direction of the right probes. I and someone else take care of the first BoP spawns, an then I decide to go help out with the probes and the Negh'var that will inevitably spawn. So we kill all right probes and this cruiser with every color of the rainbow firing is hacking away at the cube, slowly. We're shouting to him not to blow it and we quickly rush to take care of the middle probes.
Too late. Green flash as we start on them.
One guy gets angry and says "this is doomed I'm leaving." and he bails on us. <snip>
I've got to admit, the STF I enjoy most is CSE when I team up with 2 fleet mates and PUG the other 2 places. We always do RML, killing the Cubes as we go. And when that 1st cube is killed, the comments range from "lost optional" to swearing about noobs. Then when that 2nd cube goes and the warship spawn is easily contained close to the 3rd, the comments change to "we might actually make this". And after the carrier is dead, there might be a comment that it was actually the fastest CSE run they have done, and "Why hasn't the Leave button appeared?".

anywho, I got the FAE long ago, I just had to go on a few SB24 runs, which I found boring, so it was a big thing (though managed to get the money in an afternoon)
also that high-dps fleet mate thing threw me off the hook to think you are from another fleet

to be fair. most people play with others who cannot even defend bops in normal, and when something like this happens, you are suspcious. I mean I am still pretty hesitant about RML, because you need to be good for that (well actually that is not right since RML on CSE should be the bare minimum a team should be able to do with the optional not lost), and most people are not
That's why I usually ask if we're doing MRRMLL in pugs.
Almost had a fail CSE, went in there with my Eng in a Chimera. Now, nobody was incompetent or anything, it was just the team we ended up with. There was another Eng in a Cruiser (A Fleetmate I'd run eSTFs with before, he's a good tank) - and 3 Science captains. That became... interesting.
MRRMLL, I handled Right lane, a Sci handled Left lane (lots of GWs and pushes from what little I saw, no problem). The 3 (somewhat slowly) cleared the Middle probes and went to Right. After I blow a wave of BoPs I blinked and counted - all three had come to me, nobody was handling the Middle lane! Evasive my way to Kang who was started to get pounded, down to around 90% hull with one shield facing down. I tossed TSS2, TT1, HE1 and killed the half-dozen Raptors alongside the other Sci.
Things went pretty smoothly after that, but the lack of DPS meant we got the optional with less than a half dozen seconds to spare.
Shortly after that, got another team for KSE - got just one Tac, in a cruiser. Another situation where I made better progress with one helper than the 3 on the other side. The two of us had gotten the 2nd transformer to half health while they still had both up, and at that point the three let 2 probes slip past and failed the optional.
When my Eng in a Chimera (with LtComm and Lt Eng BOffs) goes from secondary DPS (and off-tank, and supporting healer) to primary DPS I know it's going to be rough. Stopped STFs for the night, went and massacred ISS ships in story missions after that. (Gotta finish before the Reruns end! I was lazy before and ended up having to grab the Assimilated Console from Rep rather than mission rewards. )
Fresh new experience from last night: I did the 3 old STFs and had 23 minutes left till the next cycle. I said to myself "Why don't I try HSE" for a change - it won't take more than 25-30 minutes." I've done Hive on normal and I've read all the guides....ok - done. After the loading screen disappeared and I warped into the battlefield, I got confused - no one in sight and many cubes, scattered into 2 big groups. I started to wonder where to begin from...so I went under the lowest positioned Tactical Cube. 20 seconds later someone bailed out, so we're 4 now in a pretty messy situation - me, an Atrox captain (who was all the help I could get) and two others with beams, who I don't know what they were doing, but at least we're being a moving targets, so they were helpful in a way. I finished my cube and a second one after that, then helped the others with the third (they had it at 35% at the time), and we all did the forth ant the next group of...I think 3 Tac cubes. Next - the unimatrix ships - I had two unexplainable deaths while at 8-9 km. off the target. After that - the queen. That was the first time in months that I felt really frustrated - that thing doesn't even blink when you throw GW at it....and I had serious trouble escaping off her with Evasive Maneuvers.....somehow, we killed her and the total mission time was around 40-45 minutes. The best part - we never dropped her shields. Someone of the team thanked the rest for not bailing out....anyway, hats off for the three of them for not quitting midway.
So...some thoughts after the experience - the regular MACO set might be a better option, because of the gravion beam. Also....Direct Energy Modulation might not be a bad idea.
So i had a pretty **** STF experience. I was doing a pug ISE run with everything going fine. People were really doing good, spheres exploding left and right.
1 guy posted about the 10% rule as usual. And the team couldn't actually pull that off, due to one (or a few) crits of my romulan plasma torps (every transformer was already near 10% anyway). No big deal though. Every remaining generator got blasted within seconds and the transformer exploded afterwards.
Off we were to the next transformer and again one guy wrote about the 10% rule.
So i thought to myself. This team is pretty good and we were blasting nearly everything instantaneously into smithereens and so i replied jokingly:
Me: what rule?
Random1: ooo someone is cool!
Random1: too cool for rules, too cool for school
Random2: that was not the 10% rule on either side
Me: good
Random3: we got lucky this time
Random2: Indeed... no thanks to the premature spooger
Me: sure ... [was meant at the comment about luck]
Random1: guess ill have to add [redacted] to ignore for being a *&*!$$
Random3: look you almost never have a team like this if you dont 10% then
its likely you wont get the optional
Me: seriously. ships have too much firepower in season 7 too
actually calculate when you hit 10 %
[what i meant was: before i could guess how many firing cycles it would take to shave of a certain percentage of a generators life pool]
Random1: he thinks he doesnt need us
Random1: lets let him take the cube himself
Random1: that attitude is why he is now on my ignore list
Random3: he is an ideot...
Me: cause i am such a rebel ... [i got a little aggravated]
Random2: its too bad "vote to kick" is not a Pug option here on STO
Me: too bad indeed
Random3: we should have let him do it himself
Me: i actually don't know what you want ..
So thanks to some group dynamic and the other players not realizing, that they were good and didn't actually need to execute the 10%-rule-maneuver i now have at least 3 ignores more on my list. Oh PUGs how i love thee. And i admit reading this again, it could have been seen as me being an ***.
Seriously though, the damage output has risen in season 7 especially with easily available weapons through the reputation system. Teams are getting better even though it may only be because their gear gets better. I feel 10% is an outdated rule and should be renamed: "kill the generators roughly at the same time but be prepared that one might pop prematurely"
BTW: we finished ISE with 8:30 left on the optional counter ...
P.S.: If it's somehow against the rules posting a chat excerpt with the actual names being irrecognizable, let me know.
I was levelling up a new engineer charakter. With every new ship i tried to make the worst build I could imagine. As LtC i flew a science vessel with all turrets. According to ACT i did a steady 650 DPS. I tested it in the Starbase 24 event and got one first and one 3rd place. As Captain i bought a Galaxy, gave it a name that sounded almost like Enterprise and bought the cheapest turrets and beams i could find. All different energy types of course. I went to Starbase 24 again shooting FAW-rainbows and CSV-skittles, and guess what: 1st place. There were actually people WORSE than this. I saw at least three other rainbow Galaxy ships there.
The turrets ship was not so bad while doing missions because I did not have to worry about enemy ships' circling tactics and the annoying fighters were no problem neither.
When playing missions any setup is fine so people think their builds are great. I think that's why we see so many of them in Elite STFs.
I recently had an unpleasant STF and for none of the reasons I would have expected.
Enter STF, all captains arrive and I head forward to engage Borg Tac Cube. Captain "H" begins to whine and complain about Captain "C" having tons of injuries and normally I would be inclined to agree. But "H" refused to fight until "C" either repaired or left the STF. "H" begins tirade on how people like "C" ruin the game, etc. Every one except "C" calls "H" out on trying to justify their being a leech. "C" continues to ignore "H" and other than the pile of injuries, appeares to be fairly competent. So we clear the Tac cube and begin on the transformers and gates. Captain "B" get tired of the b***hing and moaning and leaves, I rush to cover the probes on the other side where "B" was. A replacement Captain for "B" arrives and mentions the sad state of this STF, but goes right to work on helping us salvage it. We manage to take down both gates without any probes slipping though, but miss the time limit.
Enter Donatra. The battle with Donatra was uneventful other than our "noble" and "holy than thou" leech. The instant Donatra goes down, "H" grabs loot and warps out without a word.
What causes players to act like this? Shear stubbornness? Anger at us proving that we didn't need their help?
Also, how would one go about contacting their fleet leader? Just keep checking via the social tab every now and then til they log in? My fleet now knows to avoid that fleet, and I'd like to think that "H"'s fleet leader would be interested in "H"'s conduct.
my worst theres been a few but today i have to admit this one really got to me for both good and extreamly bad....
so was ingame bit sleepy been up awhile so went to infected ground normal with my plasma comprission pistol works great with rotating weapon frequency with my omega autocarbine as back up and my old trusty borg xii plusewave in inventory incase someones doing op ito switch over too so first i queue up then it pops seconds later i engage then someone is shouting about getting op i finally catch up to 3 people raceing ahead seconds later after seeing them op fails then the person who was shouting about op calls another a few names and of course all caps too cant rage without caps as "big kids" right? then i see them using one weapon lirpa from q then for the entire stf they stand there following putting up cover shields in the obvious places to try and block us from going on yup they did..we continue to the boss room rebecca the 4 of them rush in i was left running down the ramp outside our shining cover shield hero runs to a corner cover shield later dies i'm left out side the other 2 obviosly new have died the forth in full xii omega hiding in the door away taking a look around decides to leave to avoid the endless struggle the cover shield hero stays dead other 2 guys revive we go in i tell them what to do and for new people to the stf they did great the guy with the blast assault and secondary on auto fire i think? kept blasting its secondary off while on the controls and back to our cover shield hero playing with emotes outside waving hands danceing cheering so on begging beckoning raising k tang knife everything possible. i asked a simple question of why they joined this stf no response i thought since they wanted op obviously maco team specialist and the funny side of not doing anything trying to block our path came into team etheics after one fell in i then jumped other died we went in again cover shield hero just sat down we ran around the room a few times they where good didnt say they could time controls properly outside danceing and cheering still going on then then i kinda feel bad about this next part my internet connection went for a walk before getting the last 2 started again so i think i left them both inside dancer outside and i probably got a time pen for leaveing when internet went down them 2 where the defination of a team to me stook together revived each other fought side by side i wish there was a way to trade omega marks just to give them both some for trying so hard and me failing them with my internet they really earned it and i have a few thousand laying around that could help them with rep get them x maco omega sets ect not only my worst but one of my best stfs with a few showing true team work i do admire that most of all in a team.
i just thought i'd share this with anyone reading this forum:)
[EDIT] sorry for no spaces spelling so on
I have a fun one...well fun if you are a TRIBBLE..
Cure normal, my trusty dssv, two cruisers, an escort and a carrier
As normal, I ask "who is kangsitting?" - carrier says they will so off I toddle, bopping the bops and taking out the bottom level of spheres..
Meanwhile, Mister escort is taking one off the bottom then the top, bringing in early raptors..
...the two cruisers doing it at the other cube - more raptors, mor bops, more fun!
Seeing this, I went and commited raptorcide (healing the kang naturally) until the cruisers parked to help the carrier at the Kang - Meanwhile Mister escorts failing hard at cube blowing so he goes on kang duty - I meanwhile take down the raptors at the cube I'm on and expect an escort, two cruisers and a carrier could fend off the other raptors and bops...
...I was wrong - by the time I realised they had never healed the kang, it was optional failure - So I healed the kang and the escort and cruisers went cube bashing...now ignoring the raptor and bop swarm that (I had to bring down solo in a sci torpboat (thank goodness for gw)) flew past them unmolested much to my chagrin, having to stay at the kang as the carrier was now afk!
Long story short...45 minutes of my life was wasted and even better, a few more oms instead of a shiny..
Well, this wasn't the worst STF experience, but it was definitely bad...
I'm flying either my Vesta or my Dreadnought in KASE, I can't remember which ship it was though. My teammates:
Patrol Escort
Odyssey Cruiser
Sovereign Cruiser
something else...
The guy flying the Odyssey didn't respond to PMs, zone/local/team chats, nothing. Just kept blasting away at Donatra in her little Scimitar, and it kept cloaking because of this guy.
The other teammates were doing their own coordinated thing, with the exception of the guy in the Sovvie, which kept flying real close and making Donatra scared and cloaking herself. We likely could have gotten the opt if it wasn't for this one guy in a big ship he didn't deserve to fly. Two hours later, finally killed the damn thing.
I'm not sure how some of the captains out there can be called captains, let alone Admirals. They don't deserve the title or the 2500 ZEN ship.
On a different note, me and four other fleet-mates completed a private instance of ISE in all TOS Constitution-class ships, with the optional. A testament to REAL teamwork... that and the reliability of a Tier I ship.
It's really surprising how terrible some players are, and they bring down the game.

I have new sci kling toon. She has around 3000 points of accolades.
I run nSTF because I'm farming omega for reputation with my fleet space set.
I ran CSN with my Kar'fi and its Fer'Jai Frigate pets.
Say "hi".
Someone said "hey".
At first I went to the middle cube. While I'm killing nanite. A fed tac called me "camper" and "fu*** intant admiral". I killed all of nanite. And I went to the right cube. Starting to kill nanite. And the fed tac called me "camper" and he said I shouldn't change place to camp. When I finished to kill nanite. I looked in my back to see who takes care the Kang. This fed tac with a fed ing were overthere trying to protect the kang. The Fed tac told "move your TRIBBLE and help us to protect the kang. I said no. And with the fed sci we killed the right cube. And suddenly the fed tac became mad. And he spoke about our mother, about what we are. And he said we must deinstall the game. The fed sci asked me to talk about this later. We managed the middle cube. And we failed because the tac and the ing were not able to protect the Kang.
Arf. I forgot to say. The fed tac who said I'm instant admiral has around 1500 points of accolades. I have around 3000 as sci kling and this toon is my third kling toons. I don't think I'm instant admiral...

I haven't even come close to a "bad" stf, seeing all these stories, but there are moments.
> Science flying a RSV in Infected Elite, fighting the Tac Cube and desperately trying to live, I finally look around for my support - 4 Odysseys with rainbow beams shooting the gate. I had had it, and we were already past the optional because abhorrable DPS and disregarding the 10% rule. I Evasived into them, the Cube followed. Killed 2 before the other 2 decided to rethink their priority targets.
I qued up for a Cure Normal. I'm just 2 away from the 300 Accolade so i wanted to get it out of the way quick.
I must have entered one that was already partway completed because there were 7 minutes left on the clock and one of the nodes on the first cube was already dead.
All 4 of the other ships were oddys with technicolor rainbow beams, all 4 had accolade points under 3500 and all 4 were at the Kang shooting away at several BoP's.
I figured 4 ships, they could handle it. I said "HI" and flew on to the first cube. That's when I saw one node was gone.
I proceded to kill the other nodes and the first cube by myself.
That's when I figured there must have been someone else who knew how to do the STF who got fed up and bailed.
I flew on to the next cube. One of the nodes was dead there also. I started killing away and called in Fleet Support because none of the other ships were answering any hails.
This part is odd... My fleet support and the turret I had dropped were shooting at the cube, not the nodes and the cube blew up at the same time the last node blew up. I've never seen that happen before. I'm sure my CSVIII was hitting it too but I'd still never seen it happen before.
The other 4 ships are still pounding away at the kang and time ran out as i was flying to the last cube.
I killed the two raptors then started at the nodes. I also noted here that a couple of the nodes were gone.
After a couple minutes the cube died and I look back, the other 4 are still shooting away by the kang.
I flew to the kang and hailed it, the other 4 are well within hailing range but none of them could figure that out.
I clear out the remaining BoP's and Raptors and here comes the Carrier.
Low and behold, now there are 4 ships shooting the BoPs and TELLING EACh OTHER TO KILL THE BoP's FIRST! One ship flew off 70k. I guess he was scared.
Needless to say, I finished the Carrier by myself.

I know it's not an STF as such, but the Mirror incursion (daily) event frequently annoys me.
More often than not the actual Federation Vs Terran ship fights proceed nicely. Then the ISS Stadi shows up and, more often than not, everyone goes after the Stadi. The number of times I've found myself trying (and often failing) to fight off numerous Terran battleships singlehanded as a result of almost everyone else charging off to shoot at the Stadi......
I remember a problem I had with the Mirror Incursion event where first time I played it when the Stadi fell I was happy that I had gone without dying since I usually die at least once in PVEs. As I'm thinking this I'm flying away from the Stadi, since I was next to it when it was destroyed, and since I had full hull and 75% shield strength, as well as having transferred power to engines I figured that I would probably be out of range of the blast and if not I'd survive with at least 50% of my hull intact. But no, the Stadi and her crew had the last laugh and killed the final ship of the battle when she exploded, ripping through my shields and obliterating my hull as if the Stadi was a frag grenade and my ship was made of tissue paper. Last thing said by anyone in that match was "ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?"
Completed The conduit...not elite...got 75 Omega marks(w/ bonus)...not during the reputation bonus. Completed The Conduit Elite(with bonus) and got 90 Omega marks.
Seriously 15 Omega Marks more for an elite during a bonus event???? I was getting 100+ marks during the bonus event previously.

Why were you going after the cube by yourself? 95% of all PuGs go for the gate first and stay out of range/LOS of the cube. It's the people who prioritize the cube in PuGs that are the actual problem.

NO to ARC RIP KDF and PvP 2014-07-17 Season 9.5 - Death by Dev
Example: After several miserable failers, I FOR ONCE got into a decent CSE PuG.... FOR ONCE. The team was well balanced, they all said "Hi," and the two escorts of the group had some decent DPS. So I was guarding the Kang by myself. The other four went off and killed probes. They had just finished the second group of probes (they went left, then right, and then they were going to the center) when suddenly, stupidity strikes again. One guy (We'll call him Bob) suddenly says "Hey guys... we should start killing cubez."
Everyone except for one other guy vehemently protests, and starts working on the center probes. Not to be deterred, Bob and that one other guy go and decide to kill the cube. After several deaths, they manage to succeed. Which causes hordes of bloodthirsty Raptors and Neg'vhars to spawn. To put it short, right after Bob and the other guy killed the cube, they were both ROFLPWNED by the Neg'vhars that spawned and even the concentrated efforts of the other two half competent players couldn't save the Kang.
And that was the last time I ever played CSE in a PuG.

The kinetic damage bit is ridiculous though.

I was lazy before and ended up having to grab the Assimilated Console from Rep rather than mission rewards. )
So...some thoughts after the experience - the regular MACO set might be a better option, because of the gravion beam. Also....Direct Energy Modulation might not be a bad idea.
Sigh
P.S.: If it's somehow against the rules posting a chat excerpt with the actual names being irrecognizable, let me know.

totally my fault tho turned my back to the cube, next thing you know...BLAMMO...lesson learned

The turrets ship was not so bad while doing missions because I did not have to worry about enemy ships' circling tactics and the annoying fighters were no problem neither.
When playing missions any setup is fine so people think their builds are great. I think that's why we see so many of them in Elite STFs.
Starting Infected (Elite)
TEam come in me in a Patrol Escort,a Brid of Prey,a Star Cruiser and Two Chimera Heavy Destroyer.
I think by myself,2 Veterans with a Chimera cool People how know what to do.
I think you can figure out what happens next:rolleyes:
Noob-Party.
Massive Problems to Stop the Spheres by the first Transformer and Chimeras Blowing up
Enter STF, all captains arrive and I head forward to engage Borg Tac Cube.
Had a few of these recently where someones thrown a tantrum in game:rolleyes: -
Had to give up on PVE at the moment due to lag and rubber-banding - reversing 10km+ from the raptor attacking Kang and getting one shotted by cube
Could be worse...:D
so was ingame bit sleepy been up awhile so went to infected ground normal with my plasma comprission pistol works great with rotating weapon frequency with my omega autocarbine as back up and my old trusty borg xii plusewave in inventory incase someones doing op ito switch over too so first i queue up then it pops seconds later i engage then someone is shouting about getting op i finally catch up to 3 people raceing ahead seconds later after seeing them op fails then the person who was shouting about op calls another a few names and of course all caps too cant rage without caps as "big kids" right? then i see them using one weapon lirpa from q then for the entire stf they stand there following putting up cover shields in the obvious places to try and block us from going on yup they did..we continue to the boss room rebecca the 4 of them rush in i was left running down the ramp outside our shining cover shield hero runs to a corner cover shield later dies i'm left out side the other 2 obviosly new have died the forth in full xii omega hiding in the door away taking a look around decides to leave to avoid the endless struggle the cover shield hero stays dead other 2 guys revive we go in i tell them what to do and for new people to the stf they did great the guy with the blast assault and secondary on auto fire i think? kept blasting its secondary off while on the controls and back to our cover shield hero playing with emotes outside waving hands danceing cheering so on begging beckoning raising k tang knife everything possible. i asked a simple question of why they joined this stf no response i thought since they wanted op obviously maco team specialist and the funny side of not doing anything trying to block our path came into team etheics after one fell in i then jumped other died we went in again cover shield hero just sat down we ran around the room a few times they where good didnt say they could time controls properly outside danceing and cheering still going on then then i kinda feel bad about this next part my internet connection went for a walk before getting the last 2 started again so i think i left them both inside dancer outside and i probably got a time pen for leaveing when internet went down them 2 where the defination of a team to me stook together revived each other fought side by side i wish there was a way to trade omega marks just to give them both some for trying so hard and me failing them with my internet they really earned it and i have a few thousand laying around that could help them with rep get them x maco omega sets ect not only my worst but one of my best stfs with a few showing true team work i do admire that most of all in a team.
i just thought i'd share this with anyone reading this forum:)
[EDIT] sorry for no spaces spelling so on
Cure normal, my trusty dssv, two cruisers, an escort and a carrier
Gah.

Missing the good ol' days of PvP: Legacy of Romulus to Season 9
My List of Useful Links, Recently Updated November 25 2017!
I just came back from avoiding STO grinds for a while and just doing a few Doff missions.
I enter my favorite, a CSN pug.
I say 'HI' as usual.
No reply as usual.
I buzz over to the right and watch a Klink fly off to the left.
The other three buzz to the Kang.
Someone starts yelling I got the Kang.
Someone else says No, I got the Kang.
This goes on for a while.
One of them says I got the Kang and I'm not firing a shot until you go fight do your job at the Cubes.
One of them comes over to the cubes and starts yelling at me.
"Hey Noobe! Stop shooting the probes until the Raptors are dead! You'll just spawn more Raptors!"
I'm like, "Hu? How many of these have you done?"
I kill the probes whiel completely ignoring the raptors and this guy is going bat cxxx crazy.
Anyhow he flys off somewhere else and is calling everyone a noobe because they don't know how to do a CSN.
His Accolade was 1000 something by the way.
I finish off the first cube and fly to the next.
Someone else is there and we dispatch the second cube in short order.
The nutty guy is still going nutty over us killing the cubes and probes.
I fly over to the third cube and what do I find?
The nut case and the klink trying to kill the spawed raptors and not a single probe is dead!
Both of them had technicolor/rainbow beams.
Now the nutcase is yelling, 'Look what you did! These raptors are too strong for us to kill!"
I say, "You mean you are to week to kill them?" and I dispatch both of the borg real quick.
Now he's bat cxxx crazy-er!
Anyhow the three of us that knew how to finish the job finished it and flew off to wait for the carrier.
The carrier comes out of hiding and now this guy says, "Don't shoot the carrier until I say so."
We all fire and he has to be falling off his chair mad.
I've not seen so many X&%# words in chat in a long time.
We kill the carrier with no help from him or the klink who must have been new also.
At the end I typed to him, "How many minutes have you been playing STO?"
No responce.
That was the highlight of my day and it helped take some of the grind out of the grind.
:D:D
PUG is hell
> Science flying a RSV in Infected Elite, fighting the Tac Cube and desperately trying to live, I finally look around for my support - 4 Odysseys with rainbow beams shooting the gate. I had had it, and we were already past the optional because abhorrable DPS and disregarding the 10% rule. I Evasived into them, the Cube followed. Killed 2 before the other 2 decided to rethink their priority targets.
....I'm such a good teammate.
I think I played with those guys...back when the game worked
Ah, the memories :P
I did run into some guy trash talking the other players on Cure...NORMAL.
Not Elite...NORMAL.
RIP KDF and PvP 2014-07-17 Season 9.5 - Death by Dev
Ah the days of trash talk. How I miss it. Every now and then there's still something good.
I think it was yesterday someone said,"There's not a ship here with more than 1000 accolade points. What a bunch of noobes."
My accolade is around 13,000 and it would be higher if I'd finish my nebula missions. I guess the guy didn't know how to check everyone's accolade.
Golly, the most I ever say these days is, "Four ships on the Kang and you lose the optional?"
Lol
I hate CSE.
Elim Garak
2nd worst optional faild more then 1 player left match and so it was not so easy and took mutch time to still win it
