    One of the programmers was working on a fix for that last night when I was walking around and gathering status updates. :)

    I'm not sure why it didn't merit a mention in the update proper? But I am very glad to hear any news about it all the same. I am thrilled to know that someone somewhere is doing anything about this. :)

    This has actually been my number one bug complaint since it first started (or, I should say, it was up until the recent unpleasantness with ESD and other very recent/upcoming art changes.)

    Really? only three times a week? That seems really low to me.

    I don't think the fix for that issue made it into the build we pushed to Tribble, so that's why it wasn't mentioned in the patch notes. :)

    Feedback:

    1) Are you out of your minds making the Borg invasion happen only three times a week?!? That's insane! Your biggest criticism is lack of content, and you cut the only true, completely new missions down to that!
    2) I really hate that the only thing you can really "do" on your bridge is being taken away. That's the place that feels more "Trek", and it really needs to have stuff to do on it, except sit there and look pretty. (Which is pretty emblematic of the entire game.)
    3) Some of the space stuff still isn't in the store on ESD (Mark XI shields, engines, deflectors as well as all all the antiproton weapons.)
    4) Where did the Covariant Capx3 go from K7?
    5) If the antiproton consoles MXII are getting nerfed, can we at least have at least one vendor that sells rare Mark XI, even if it's in the STF store?
    6) Is the old school Borg Deflector's auxiliary power supposed to be +1.1 instead of +5?
    7) Character selection screen is cool.
    8) Can we please have a "Train Officer" somewhere on DS9? And a dilithium vendor? It would be nice if all stations had that stuff.
    9) Glad to see the discount off the new STF gear, as well as having the old gear back up in the store. Also glad to see dilithium ore and the DOFFs available too from the STF store, but I wish their "powers" had some for Borg defense since only Tacs want an additional security escort. Also, the store itself needs an art pass to look cooler.
    10) Still hate the crafting "compromise"
    11) Regular missions still need some kind of dilithium.
    12) What rarity of BOFF will Tractor Beam 3 and Charged Particle Burst 3 appear? None of my mains are a Sci, but it must suck to have those powers not at your beckon call anymore.
    13) Are the mismatch for the sci consoles being addressed at all? I don't have a sci-ship, but I'm sure that's going to infuriate a lot of people when this goes live in a couple weeks.
    14) Is there no major update to the Space Skills? Other than the scale, it looks like barely anything has changed at all based on feedback? It seems like the only thing really getting some TLC is the DOFF system (thanks, Heretic!)
    15) And of course, barely any updates about the dilithium economy at all, based on PLENTY of user feedback.

    It's sad that there's MAYBE one more build until this gets pushed to Holodeck, and it's just not even close to being ready. I guess if the Holodeck build is the beta for the F2P players, then maybe it doesn't matter...

    Unfortunately we arent going to use the older signs. We did make a pass to clean them up and get them more in line with IP, and that update will go in the build after this one.

    Thank you for addressing this.

    I would still prefer something with a more 'built-in'/terminal-screen' type of look. But the new pass that Thomas Tweeted is a huge improvement. I think all of the worst of the specific elements of this 'upgrade' have pretty much been acknowledged and addressed in one form or another.

    The early vibe on the boards was that this change was final and the new signs were sure to go live with F2P 'as is'.

    It is very reassuring to see that the team did admit there were problems with the first pass as was willing to address those issues. Also the communication about the situation and the turnover time for getting a viable fix in the works has been outstanding.

    Yay! The clones on my bridge were making me stay away from it, so I am really pleased to hear someone is looking at the issue. :)

    ok, checked the thing I was most interested in.

    Big Thank you for fixing the Koro't'inga issue.. I can now claim that ship on my other KDF toons.

    Vor'kang still not availible..in ship yard yes, but with no price.. Not in C-Store.. *sigh*

    STf Uniforms according to accolade do not unlock for Mk X gear but do for Mk XI gear,,is this correct?

    STF Uniforms are NOT unlocking if you allready have the gear. On my character Kui I have all 3 pieces of Mk XI Omega Force ground gear... per gozers post I dropped all three into my bank, went and did an STF to unlock the Omega Forse Initiate and Honor Guard Initiate titles/accolade then pulled the out of the bank into inventory. I'veeeeee tried logging in and out, closing gane client enirely etc etc etc. Nothing is Unlocking those accolades.

    My character should also have the Klingon Defence Force SIlver Star accolade, and the Vorn service medal accolade. but they are not getting award.

    More stuff as I find it.

    Yet, [Cryptic] have also had a tendency to want to make us grind more. Too much of the Borg events, and people will claim the grind factor (also a legitimate complaint, mind you). You'll have to pick your poison on this one.
    6) Is the old school Borg Deflector's auxiliary power supposed to be +1.1 instead of +5?

    No, all of the Borg parts gave +5 power stats to a given system on Holodeck.

There is no garuntee that the screen would capture the most interesting thing in the battle at any moment or that the ship in question would not creep into view in an unreal way. It sounds easy from a 'photoshop'users perspective. I'm sure even this 'simple' aproach would be much more complicated to actually pull off. But a pokice ridealong with a front seat view of the action would be pretty cool. Espessiallyif you are at a ship party and a coulple of folks want to leave to go PvP. Everyone else can transfer to that bridge and watch the action. It would be kind of cool, but not untill a lot of other things are fixed. Basically if STO is ever so successful that devs are sitting around with nothing to do.:)

    I suddenly have 12'150 skill points unspent and can't spend them, it's resetting! Also, when I try to access the bank on ESD, I get booted from the server (happend 3 times in a row, always when opening the bank).

    I hope the second maintenance (right now) will fix that.

    Those signs better look allot better than the current Looney Tunes signs that are currently in place on ESD.

    Also I like the new character selection screen, but going from there and to your own bridge is a major disappointment.

    The bridge on the selection screen has the good old yellow LCARS and a good scaling, while the in game bridges are big like an hangar with the randomly placed blue LCARS that looks awful.

    Could you please turn all bridges into the same style as the one on character selection screen and the new Defiant bridge that we will get...please?

    Please don't get them started. They are ripping apart enough perfectly good stuff right now as it is.:p

    • Mission replay consoles have been removed from all player bridges

    I recall the struggle to impress upon Devs the importance of console functionality for our starship interiors. That console is the single piece of functionality offered us. How can I impress upon the STO Development Team further that removing immersion for a Star Trek MMO is a bad choice?

    Just saw an emergency shut dowwn on tribbleee and a restart. .. Nay be the accolade for the uniform ust isn't working on DS9.... I'll head to qu'nos and try it there..

    Nope, that didn't work either..frug.. Ya kNow Ya'll cound havetested this thee weeks ago..unstead of waiting do damd near the last possible moment. WHich is why I really don't think STO is gonna be ready to release F2P on the 1/17/12 *sigh* Ya'll could learn something from Blizzard "It's ready when its ready"

    Is this really necessary? You're restricting the reward of a remodulator that saves all of a second or so total to a couple times a week when people may or may not get to play depending on their jobs that they use to earn money for cryptic points.

    If you feel three times a week is the final answer, who am I to argue - I'm not a programmer for your game after all or a developer...I'm a betting man, however, who's willing to bet you get hardly as many people to play as you wanted and even less people to check out your hard missions once they hit live.

    What about this alternative? add it to the PVE queue and make it something like a fleet action. You've done an amazing job with it and I'd love for people to check out what you've done.

    I agree, the working man is getting the boot on this one.

    New login screen is great. I understand that it would probably be a pain to do but is there anyway that it could show that chars current bridge instead of a default one? Or failing that, a discreet menu somewhere with which we can change the bridge shown on the login screen? Honestly, I don't like the defiant bridge but its still an improvement.

    Are the LCARS on the login screen the start of a spread of true LCARS throughout the game?

    Why was the replay console removed? It may not be necessary now you can replay from the journal but it could have been left alone, interior functionality has been asked for time and again so I don't get why you would spend time making a step backward on this.

    The signs on ESD havn't changed, still don't like them.

    The currency is still called Dilithium. Still don't understand why.

    The Defera Borg event is way too limiting, essentially once per week for your timezone and a high probability of missing out. It's actually new content so please let us actually play it. Also, isn't this whole Borg invasion supposed to be an ongoing event? I assume that to mean it won't be here forever and mssing out on it because you only had one or two chances to play it isn't cool.

    Bug fixes. TYVM, hope more are coming, they need to if you're going to push this to Holo soon.

    Skill tree, why is it being pushed ot Holo before it's finished?

    A lot of vendors seem... understocked, and other items seemingly have disappeared. If you're going to do that then please tell us why.

    Silly jokes "more anti-protoney" are cool. More please.

    Forget it people if they want all of us gone and c-store buying silvers to join, then lets all go to tor and leave trek behind, of course once tor does the same thing to the base, where will we go then?


    i am saddened that pw/cryptic/atari(their name is still plastered all over this game) are so intent to kill the player base they have.

    i mean to dictate that if you wanna play the defera invasion in x time zone(insert your time zone or the major time zone nearest you) you have to a get a job that you have said hours off, a job where they are cool with you playing on company time(good luck) b walk out of your job and play for free until you get tossed out by your landlord/parents.

    realy just three times a week, please say this is a typo and you mean three times a day or every other day?

    Powers:
    • Updated some consoles and Borg set items that granted a power level bonus to restore the bonus to the values that are on Holodeck.

    I'm not sure if "some" means that others are still pending, or aren't intended to be returned to their holodeck levels, but the Aegis graviton deflector is still showing +1.1 shield power instead of the +5 on holodeck, and the blue Engineering Field Emitter Mk XI consoles are still +3.5 shield power instead of the +7 they are on holodeck.

    I do hope the rest of the consoles return to "normal".

    I second this, they stick out like sore thumbs too and more like signs a elementary school would have in the future rather than Star Fleet.

    A dev commented in this thread earlier that they have changed them a bit to be more "trekish" and will be in the next build.

    please forgive me if I am asking about something that has already been adressed.

    WTF happened to my inventory? where/when did i get an overflow bag? and why are my usable slots reduced as a Lifer at VA?

    Seriously, I must have missed this announcement. please point me in the direction so that I might find where this was mentioned....

    STF weekly events now happen on Wednesdays for 24 hours.

    3 times for 24 hours or 3 times for 1 hour?

    Weekly event on Wednesday? Wouldn't it be better to have it in the weekend?


    Changed "Investigate Rumors of Klingon Intelligence" name back to original and added a Starfleet version.
    • Made both Very Rare.

    The Graviton Generators skill no longer unlocks training for Tractor Beam III.
    • Tractor Beam III will now appear in Random Bridge Officers.
    The Subspace Decompiler skill no longer unlocks training for Charged Particle Burst III.
    • Charged Particle Burst III will now appear in Random Bridge Officers.

    Which type of BOs are we talking about? (white/green/blue/purple)

    Added penalties for leaving in-progress public STFs
    • If you leave an in-progress STF you will be unable to queue for any other STF for one hour.

    Will this be added to other queues (PvP, FA...) too?

    I'm wishing I had come out and supported the DOFF system more. I have not been having the trouble some people have been with DOFFs dying. (... but then if I can't get at least 75% between critical success and success, I don't do it. Go figure.) Now I'm getting guaranteed success rates on assignments even though the DOFFs I'm picking aren't the right professions. For example: In, "Level 4 diagnostic of Primary Weapon Coils," it asks for two diagnostic engineers, but I'm able to get my failure rate down 0 with an uncommon hazard systems officer and an uncommon tractor beam officer. The only way I should be able to get a 0% failure rate in something is if I have uncommon or above in the profession that it asks for. Please don't make this too easy.

    So what is the gameplan for people who have the "Rare Unreplicatable Materials"? I am sure since you guys decided to make the change you thought of an option for players to turn in those items for their dilithium back right? I mean since it is the unified currency now, we really can't afford to waste it.

    Players now get a special 3-pack of DOFFs at levels 12, 22, 32, and 42.
    These don't appear to be rewarded retroactively. How do I acquire them for the two characters (one Fed, one KDF) I created on Tribble and have leveled to the cap?
