Is this really necessary? You're restricting the reward of a remodulator that saves all of a second or so total to a couple times a week when people may or may not get to play depending on their jobs that they use to earn money for cryptic points.
If you feel three times a week is the final answer, who am I to argue - I'm not a programmer for your game after all or a developer...I'm a betting man, however, who's willing to bet you get hardly as many people to play as you wanted and even less people to check out your hard missions once they hit live.
What about this alternative? add it to the PVE queue and make it something like a fleet action. You've done an amazing job with it and I'd love for people to check out what you've done.
You say that like everyone will want to play this specific mission all the time, which you don't right? Think about it, there is a lot to the game and a lot more coming.
The idea is to make an instance busy.
Whatever time you are on playing, there will be something to do and more coming in the next few months that will make anytime your on that bit more interesting.
This is not the only game that does this and it works far better. Even fleets don't need to schedule fleet events with as much effort, they simply need to go by the games schedule but get together before starting the event.
- Can you now buy stacks of those common and uncommon materials to craft stuff, or do you still have to click hundreds of times to get a set of items crafted?
- Will it be possible to buy additional Duty Officer space with dilithium or C-points, so it's not limited to 100 always? The same would apply to pending assignment space (20 is quite low).
Are you going to put the signs in ESD back the way they were?
Unfortunately we arent going to use the older signs. We did make a pass to clean them up and get them more in line with IP, and that update will go in the build after this one.

1. We'll look into that functionality.
2. We're working on a way to increase your duty officer roster, but not for your pending assignments.
Would be nice to see some purpose of bridges. One huge reason I think it would be important to Cryptic to have important things to do on your bridge is because with the art that goes into it selling bridge packs that a player such as myself and possibly others may need a reason to purchase bridge packs as per some purpose for them/something to do on them.
An idea for that possibly may be a type of mentoring program with another player who may not like the lower tier ships and like all of us want to be in a defiant or brel over those lower tiers. Something where the person who owns the ship possibly can be in command on their bridge where as the lower ranked player can be an officer piloting/shooting in the exterior portion and possibly the bridge itself giving real time information on what they are doing. So basically not talking about something where a whole team would have to be involved but say at least 2 players minimum and some boffs would be feasible.
The Graviton Generators skill no longer unlocks training for Tractor Beam III.
Tractor Beam III will now appear in Random Bridge Officers.
The Subspace Decompiler skill no longer unlocks training for Charged Particle Burst III.
Charged Particle Burst III will now appear in Random Bridge Officers.
Okay please clarify this for me.
What minimum rarity of BOFFs is going to have these powers? Green, blue, purple?
Are there going to be any retroactive changes to old boffs so these powers aren't completely MIA come the skill change?
Problem found with the STF accolades and costumes!
If you ALREADY have the 3-piece set, it says you don't for the Accolade which means you can't get the costume
So unless this changes, I presume you'd have to re-acquire the whole set
Have you tried moving the items into your bank and then back into your inventory? I read a comment by Gozer about something similar if not exactly that.
They were working fine. However, we let you replay missions right out of the journal now so having it on your bridge became superfluous.
Kind of lie the bridges themselves, eh? (Sorry, but I see no logic in removing any ship interior functionality given there's such limited functinality as ship interiors sitll are today.) I hope this cange doesn't affect the mission content that required interaction with that terminal.)

LOL they prolly did not even factor that in when they did it.
Man oh man this is alot of stuff. Thank you guys! There is a bunch of stuff in hear that sounds absolutely awesome!! You guys are really working your buts off and I would just like to say....

Those signs better look allot better than the current Looney Tunes signs that are currently in place on ESD.
Also I like the new character selection screen, but going from there and to your own bridge is a major disappointment.
The bridge on the selection screen has the good old yellow LCARS and a good scaling, while the in game bridges are big like an hangar with the randomly placed blue LCARS that looks awful.
Could you please turn all bridges into the same style as the one on character selection screen and the new Defiant bridge that we will get...please?
what is with all the hate on the new signage? I think the holographic look is cool and the more "cartoonish" look charming.
BTW, Starting up the tutorial is bugged out. It loads to your toon standing in a square room. you click to not skip the tutorial, the intro cinematic doesn't play and then you start proper.
Vote Pergium for the new name for the Unreplicatable Materials!
With this we get more Trek in STO and we get to avoid the hordes of Freebie players who say that you need C.U.M. to craft ( Acronym for Common Unreplicatable Materials ).
The android Data (more specifically his head) with a buch of anti-matter contaners rigged to realse the aniti-matter (and explode) after he's shot out a ship's torpedo tube and makes physical contact with the target? :D:p

It's not superfluous if what you like to do with your RL spare time is sit around at your captains desk and select new missions.
There are people who play this game just for the atmosphere. Just to be able to run around in the Trek world and do Trek things.
Please start taking this into consideration and stop making decisions that remove existing content that appeals to this type of player. Stop hating.
Please reactivate this feature at the very next update. The number of updates that should go past without this error being corrected is zero.
What did replay at ready room cost or hurt non-immersion or more PvP oriented type players who never go to the ready room? Nothing. If you don't like this feature it's negative impact on your play experience was absolute zero.
This change benefits no one. It adds nothing to the game. It only takes away.
Please stop making these kind of decisions that benefit no one and do nothing to immersion players except hurt their play experience.
The amount of time, energy, and resources it would have taken to do the right thing (and leave this feature alone) was 'none'. The fact that anyone at Cryptic spent any time or energy to remove a perfectly good game feature is mind boggling and incredibly frustrating.
One of the programmers was working on a fix for that last night when I was walking around and gathering status updates.
Zero. Thank you for the detailed post. I do appreciate that you took the time to keep us well informed. It is nice to know that the team is commited to keeping us in the loop:)

It's what made Data 'fully functional'.
1. We'll look into that functionality.
2. We're working on a way to increase your duty officer roster, but not for your pending assignments.
I thought that was the hypo shot from Pfizer...
Looks fine though, thank you for not changing it TOO much, thats a fantastic looking weapon.
And the new charecter selection screen rocks btw.

Yeah, those new signs were totally "white-trashy" and gaudy. I'm glad if they're getting rid of them.
Okay please clarify this for me.

You really are trying to get people to quit, aren't you?

I want to avoid that if possible
Nitrium for Common and Pergium for Uncommon!

...why? You guys seem pretty dead-set at slowly removing options from this game in the gear-up to F2p. It does not impress.

The Retro-Defiant finally displays the correct hull overlay in the UI.
Minor, I know, but annoying me for the last 1.5 years now.
Thank you.
