My grief exactly. They designed and implemented an excellent background storyline and then ran away from it as fast as they could.... or so it seems in retrospect.

Some would say, ran away when told to by the 82% playerbase that "disaproved" of the whole conflict concept of STO, completly ignoring the UFP/KDF conflict in favor of cranking out fluff upon fluff and weeklies (which I do like) to appease a fractured playerbase that both hated and liked the war- ignoring PvP and the Foundry as well in favor of appeasing one side of the game.
    Some would say this.......

Others are just confused by the whole debacle.

I am one of the 82'ers (Fed players) who says the conflict was just fine. It just needs better set ups for PvP

Can I do the same in Sirius sector? 'Cause I totally would.
    Sounds fair to me.

I wish more of you whom support the war storyline would speak up more often. Its a good story and needs to be fleshed out before its put away.

Absolutely! I have been vocal since beta for the war storyline AND more Klingon content. As far as the storyline goes, why did Cryptic use the storyline if they werent intending on making intense use of it in the first place? I think a "skirmish area" that sectors can be occupied by victors would be fantastic! It might also motive some of the Fed' players to learn how to fight thier way out of a wet paper bag and learn how to coordinate and use teamwork.

I am affraid that in a war where there would be real consequences the Fed' players are (to an extent) lacking. I would hope the early Klingon victories would wake up the Fed' players and give them a real wake up call. I doubt the early battles would even be interesting for the Klingons.
