    Hi all.

As vocal as you in the "want" category are, you are still paying to play the game. If they added these ships at the end-game they could potentially lose players over the loss of "cannon" or immersion, and, as has been stated above, Cryptic is a business and they want to keep up their money flow.

    Attention All Hands

Ok I keep hearing that an end GAME Constitution Class ship would not be CANON.

There is nothing in this Massive Multi Player Online GAME that is CANON!!!!!

There were not in any of the TV or book series that I have watched or read, Admirals’ commanding star ships much less so many Admirals that you could swing a cat and hit nothing but Admirals.

Admirals command fleets of starships from comfortable desks in nice offices somewhere safe and do not take orders to put their life on the line by lower ranking officers. (like we do in this GAME)

There also were not any more than 10 to 20 high end star ships and only about 200 ships total at any one time.

So for this GAME to be CANON we would have to lose 99% of the admirals and probably 80% of the ships. That means 40% of us or a lot less would not get to fly a star ship at all.

I will stop here but I have only scratched the surface as to why this GAME is not CANON.

There for I will not accept the “It’s not CANON” argument as to why I should not have an end GAME Constitution Class star ship. So to you people that say it’s not CANON PPTTTT You fly whatever ship that you want to fly….I will ask for whatever ship I want.

I want an end GAME Constitution Class Ship
it is a GAME after all and not CANON

    That Is All (Squeak)

Agreed, this game has nothing to do with large bore projectile weapons.

Sorry, I had to, its a pet peeve.

Threads like this, about top tier Constitution and NX class ships, are one reason I did my Experiment (another was just for the fun of it, lol) and I think that it proves that you can take ANY class ship and hold on to it well beyond it's "intended" level.

    Great Experiment thread
    http://forums.startrekonline.com/showthread.php?t=230599

2 forward weapons, 1 aft, limited consoles, ensign only powers, and yes... I faced Borg and Undine ships while solo and won.

I've since used both my NX and Oberth ships to defeat top level ships in PvE so I know it can be done. It's all in the tactics you use.

Just because you can upgrade to a newer ship doesn't mean you HAVE to. If you like the LT ship then use it! If you like your Commander ship then use it! Just don't expect to steamroll over things like you maybe could in a higher tier ship.

I would advise against using these lower tier ships in STF missions, but for PvE missions... warp speed ahead!
