Dont forget the Ceti Eel (the creature that Khan put into the ears of Chekov and Terrel to bring them under his control) as a pet. Maybe in an aquarium in the Captains quarters or ready room.
I think rank variations for the TWOK uniforms is a necessity. The phaser would also be nice, we didn't get to see it much but it had unique sound effects
I agree that a TOS movie pack would be amazing. I would love to see more variations on the TMP and TWoK uniforms, especially the security armour, weaponry, equipmenet, as well as movie skins for the bridge and other parts of the ship. The TOS pack looks amazing and anything close to that quality would be so cool. The TMP bridge is still my favourite and they paid so much attention to detail that the buttons and lights on the bridge, engineering, and transporter stations were assigned functions to help the actors.

I would LOVE to have the TWoK uniforms looked at and redone to be made like they are supposed to be. Make them customizable uniforms unlike the free ones. That way they can still get their CP from it. I would love to have the bridge and interior as well. The MP bridge was ok, but I loved the TWoK/Search for Spock bridge the most.
Are we going to have comment from devs whether this or a form of this is in the works. I would like something other than "it's something we're looking at", but at this point I'll take what I can get.
As to the WoK, can it include the little earwig slugs and a emote for Kahn's big speech?
I am a bit more partial to the other speech on the bridge....
He tasks me! He tasks me, and I shall have him! I'll chase him round the Moons of Nibia, and round the Antares Maelstrom, and round perdition's flames before I give him up! Prepare to alter course!
Yup....Khan at his best..
and who can forget this one???
Do you mean, he never told you the tale? To amuse your Captain. No? Never told you how the Enterprise picked up the Botany Bay, lost in space from the year 1996, myself and the ship's company in cryogenic freeze? Never told how --ADMIRAL Kirk -- sent seventy of us into exile on this barren sand heap, with only the contents of these cargo bays to sustain us?? (gotta love the accent on the words cargo bays)
and this one has to be the ultimate......
I've done far worse than kill you, I've hurt you. And I wish to go on hurting you. I shall leave you as you left me, as you left her. Marooned for all eternity, at the center of a dead planet. Buried alive.
I'm with you Lord Blackavaar! I love the TOS Pack and really hope they give similar love to all the eras. I expect it to happen eventually. Truthfully I hope the next such "Love Pack" is for the KDF, followed by a TNG-Series Pack (those are my favorite interiors). Still, I think a WoK "TOS-Movie" Pack would be great. Especially if they spruce up the existing WoK unis (fix colors, ranks, belt, add a skirt, etc.), add an Excelsior bridge, engineering room, and phaser as others have mentioned.
I like how you added KDF items. I'm very disappointed the TOS Pack didn't at least have a TOS KDF uniform set.
I'm sure we will eventually get it all... From TWoK to New 25th Century stuff...
I certainly Want it ALL....
I just hope that I live long enough to see it all.
As for the DY-100...,
I'd love it if they just add a few of them in the background of the different sectors.
After all, even today we still see old vehicles around... I'm sure in the 25th century there will be individuals (non-starfleet) that would use them for cargo hauls and such...
The freighters we have in the game now, kinda-sorta look like modernized DY-100's anyway.
To be brutally honest, I'm more than a bit shocked by the attitudes of some of the community regarding the inclusion of 23rd-century items in STO. I can't help but question whether they truly understand their presence in-game.
First of all, there is plenty of 25th-century technology and design in the game already. It's there in the interiors, the uniforms, the ship designs, etc. It was included at launch, and I have no doubt that as time goes on, we'll see even more. There's almost no limit to what the Cryptic team can come up with for future tech/uniforms/design. They're dealing with unwritten TREK; it's a blank canvas that any fan would be tripping over themselves to paint upon.
HOWEVER...
People have to realize that the fanbase for Star Trek is strongly rooted in nostalgia. A vast number of those who love TREK grew up watching TOS either first-run or in reruns, went to the original-series movies when they first appeared in theatres, or watched TNG from the first night it aired to the finale seven years later. Their passion for Star Trek is based in what was more than what will be. If that wasn't so, there wouldn't still be comic books and novels being released that are based in those eras. People still want classic TREK to be a part of their fandom.
Yes, it's fun to roleplay in STO as a Starfleet officer two centuries after the adventures of Kirk and Spock. But for many, imaginations work differently. They can't be Captain Kirk or Mr. Spock, but if they have a chance to be the closest thing to that character they'll leap at the opportunity, ESPECIALLY if the ship they're commanding and the corridors they're walking in are the same ones they grew up enjoying.
So why not have a TOS bundle or a Motion Picture-era uniform option? Those who adored those periods of TREK history will buy them immediately, dress their characters in the iconic uniforms, walk them onto the bridge or in the corridors and bask in nostalgic joy.
Do the older uniforms and starships affect "immersion" that terribly? Only to those who let it. People who wring their hands with stress over seeing TOS-era Constitution-class starships flying in 25th-century space...well, sorry, but they need to lighten up a little, and put their imaginations to work. Come up with any excuse you like, such as: Continued conflicts between the KDF and the UFP and the increase in Starfleet's numbers have forced Starfleet engineers to un-mothball previously decommissioned starships and modify them for active use in the field.
TA-DA! Canonical conflict explained, at least for me...and I didn't even have a problem with it.
STO should always have its foundation in the future of Star Trek, and I don't foresee Cryptic eschewing that anytime soon. However, I see no harm whatsoever in STO honoring its roots and satisfying the nostalgic fans' desire to re-live Trek's past through these optional modifications.

(And I was particularly amused by the assertion that things which have only ever appeared in this one game are somehow more "real star trek" than, well, everything else.)
And my simple excuse why all these TOS era ships are showing up is simple: A Temporal rift has opened up somewhere and these ships have been appearing at an alarming rate. With the war going on, Starfleet is grateful the help is here!

This was what I used for my Caitian tactical officer and his ship; when I levelled him up, I did it with the TOS Connie (and later "upgraded" to the refit when I hit LC1). It was explained as the registries and such had been burnt off when it was put into mothballs, and it was given a new registry.

Works for me. It's better than the dumb idea that Starfleet would build 100 and 200 year old ships as expendable cannon fodder.
Anyway. I didn't and will not buy the TOS pack, I love TOS as much as the next guy but I'm not gonna pay money for a ship interior that is only useful on one ship early on in the game.
A TOS movie era pack however, I will defiantly get. With the Oberth class coming soon, Miranda class, Constitution class refit, T3 and T5 Excelsior all in game that is a lot of ships that the interiors will work for. Ships that we saw, for the most part, in service all the way to the late 24th century. Theres no reason why Miranda and Excelsior classes wouldnt still be in service in the early 25th century.

I wish the internet had been around in widespread use in 1987 so that we could find posts like this about why TNG should be set on a Constitution class ship, using the TOS uniforms rather than those newfangled WoK ones that we hate so much, with no ridges on Klingon foreheads.
Of course, luckliy for us they relegated nostalgia to a few mentions a season, so that we could get on with a new story rather than rehashing the same stuff over and over.
I'm all for a WOK package, but I'd rather see a 2409 package first...
But we already have a 2409 package. It's all that "free" stuff you get included with the game. All the A-0x and B-0x number uniforms. All the stock/standard bridges, interiors, ground weapons, armors, kits, etc. Plus, they recently released the "Open jacket" package which had variants on those 2409 unis (along with some TNG and DS9s alternates too).

TOS-Era Movies for the Wins!
I agree. I would like a TOS movie era next. But I would like the 25th century interiors upgraded with the new camera tech so they could be smaller. Right now the Defiant bridge is close but still too big. The Galaxy is ridiculous and the Sovereign is an utter joke.
I hope they do a TOS movie interior next. Once they get proper sized octagonal corridors (hopefully with pipes along the ceiling), multi level engine room, captains quarters and bridge, the devs could easily redress them (just like the actual set designers did) and make TNG corridors, Galaxy class Engineering, Jr officers quarters and battle bridge.
Feanor:
I suppose you're unaware of "Star Trek Phase II", or how many ideas and even scripts for it found their way into TNG (as well as the first movie, back in '79).
Also, I was in college circa 87 to 91, and thus got into plenty of discussions of the new show on rec.arts.startrek.
Hi there folks. good to be back. Without nostalgia and only focus on the future this game will surely parish. What shatterhand speaks of is pure truth. I hope that all of you hardcore canon-ist's learn a lesson from his/her post. that one day we have an understanding. And who knows. Maybe if I do knock out your sovereign in a PVP with a Refit Constitution you'll take a little pride in it.

wow, you know freedom of speech is great and all, but you're not helping your cause by saying stuff like that.
I agree with this 110%, but only if they fix the rank insignia on the TWoK uniforms first.
And it only makes sense that they handle the different fluff packs in chronological order. All that really means is that even if the pack you want right now isnt next on the schedule, you know it'll be coming out eventually.
Proper rank pins, ST VI bridge, and cascading phasers. That would make me a happy camper.

We? Who's this we? I love the WoK uniforms.
We can't all be timetravelers all the time now, can we?
edit: and I'd love to see a type 10 (chaffee) shuttlecraft
