If you're looking for a mature fleet, where you don't have to justify getting offline because of real life, where there aren't a lot of complex rules or hierarchies, where people are out to have fun, socialize, and share their love of Trek, then you might want to check us out.

It's actually quite an exciting time here. A lot of things are happening on a lot of fronts. We welcome people who have an interest in taking a role in forming and directing the fleet, though plenty of us just want to play. You can take things at your own speed.

We have a TOS theme and backstory that involves rescuing captains from 2269 to help defend the Federation in 2409. We understand, though, that your original series might be TNG, and so we've expanded to include captains from the 24th century as well. A lot of us are interested in detailed character bios, and we're always happy to help members fit their bios to the fleet backstory as a whole.

For some of that backstory, see:

    http://sto-tos.blogspot.com/

You can also explore and, if things look good to you, apply for membership on the fleet website, here:

    http://www.tosfleet.com/

And, as always, remember not to bring a rock dagger to a bamboo-cannon-filled-with-diamonds fight.

In the year 2408 after the Klingon and Gorn invade Cestus III a Starfleet Committee chaired by Admiral Jorel Quinn passed motion to explore other options and possibilities in order to build up the Federation with commanders and ships. "We need to promote exceptional officers quickly. We need our captains leading away teams. Starfleet needs to look at our whole command structure and do what works now, not what worked 30 years ago."

A Starfleet diplomat was sent back to the late 2260's to speak with Starfleet in order to round up several possible exceptional commander candidates and as many star ships as they could refurbish from the decommissioned roster. This section 31 operation was known as Projct Christopher after the 1960's aiforce officer that was beamed aboard the USS Enterprise.

In order to not affect the time continuum the only way to choose worthy captains out of their own time and bring them to the future is to find all those that have no future. The captains must be about to die and taken from circumstances seconds before they meet their demise. They now have to accept that they have no past but have been given a new future. These are members of the ghost fleet.

The chosen captains were given ships that were pre programmed with precise calculations in order to carry out the light-speed breakaway factor to artificially-created time warp in order to time travel back to the 2408.

Once the initial five captain were sent, Starfleet would keep their eye out for any such qualified command personnel to join the fleet and to help fight the war in the future.
    You may be that commander!

I have to stop spending my Saturdays playing with the computer!!!

I posted this picture in the fleet forum introducing the Fleet Advisory Council to the rest of the fleet. It went over well but once of our Council members asked if we could somehow animate this picture. I decided to do that today. Here is a video I did...

This is a new fleet! We wanted a mature relaxed fleet where our families came first and the fleet came second. We found a group of people with a lot in common and have a lot of fun.

Most of us are life members so we wanted something that will last a lifetime. Everyone has a say in the direction of the fleet and we are all equals.

The ranking system is based off of our in-game ranks. I figured if you became a Captain in-game that you deserve that same respect in the fleet.

We are a Roll Playing fleet where we are working on a backstory to justify older 23rd century uniforms in the 25th century and it is helping us to craft our bios.

Please check out our blog to read a little bit about us or check out the forums in our website. If you are interested at all please fill out an application in our website and read a little bit more about us and get to know the members better. If we are not a good fit then there are no hard feelings. Different strokes...

We are either 30 something or 40 something so you may define us as mature.

    Watch our NEW Recruiting Video

We have started this fleet to create a relaxed fleet for casual or active members with an emphasis on fun and a strong social aspect. It is expected that captains may bail out of a mission to return to Starbase Mariner 10 in order to make lunches, dinner or feed the baby. To us family like is as important as the prime directive. That is a non Kirk version of the Prime Directive!

Very few rules and everyone have a say in the direction of the fleet. We do have one wish that all members have the TOS uniform for Fleet actions and possible a 23rd century Ship and you are familiar with our Fleet backstory. We understand that all members may not be into the roll playing but just humour us and build your character bio to correspond. http://sto-tos.blogspot.com/

We are under the philosophy that everyone had their own gifts and abilities to bring to the fleet so if you wish to be active in forming the fleet in any way please let us know. Also know that you are more than welcome to just be a part of the fleet.

    Shameless promotion of our fleet.
Been in this fleet for a while now. There isn't much more that I can say that james_bailey hasn't already said. So look at the previous posts for all he has to say, and its true. To be old doesn't mean we can't outpace the youngsters.

    Thank you Destiny42!

Sometimes I have to come on here to remember what we are all about! This month we are loaning up all the planning forums so anyone in the fleet can shout out and give suggestions! In our fleet all members have a say in our direction and fleet admirals like Destiny42 and the fleet council are advisory and administrative not bosses ;)

Take a couple of moments to watch our recruiting videos. If anything else they are fun to watch.

We had a great Fleet Council Meeting last week and I am excited to say that we have some great things coming out of it. We are going to try to work out a schedule for every evening where people can do anything from RP, PvP, Levelling Alts to Fleet Actions. If any of these take off we will adjust the schedule to allow for more days.

We have consistently have 8 or more fleet members on every evening but it seems that the hours are busiest between 8:00 and 12:00 EST. We really feel that this will be changing as we get more members but we have 40 “mature casual” players that can only come in when their real life commitments are not conflicting. I have to say that we will never be so big that we will not know your name and your opinion will always be voiced by our Council members.

If you're a TOS fan (you bleed red, blue, and gold--or lime greenish), you're mature (30s+), and are a relaxed, friendly, casual player, this may be the fleet for you. We focus on having fun and helping each other out no matter how active or long you'e played. And we understand that real life comes first.

We're small but growing and have people interested in all facets of the game. We're also developing a TOS backstory collectively--everyone can contribute. And we're creating bios for are characters and sharing them.

Please see the blog for a little bit of the developing storyline behind our fleet:
    http://sto-tos.blogspot.com/

Our website is now setup so you can come aboard:

This is easy! If you are over 30, have work and family cutting into your 'play time', you like Star Trek A LOT and want to hang with people that are in the same mindset. Then please click on my signature image, go to the site... read the front page message, watch the 5min recruiting video and if you still like what you see, then come on and join our fleet.

We have 45 people (mostly) in our main TOS Veterans Fleet and we have some of our alts and a in the TNG Veterans and the TOS Qan Mang Klingon Fleet and we are looking to keep this fleet to a medium size. So if this fleet appeals to you or if you need any more information please let me know.
