If you're a TOS fan (you bleed red, blue, and gold--or lime greenish), you're mature (30s+), and are a relaxed, friendly, casual player, this may be the fleet for you.

We're small but growing and have people interested in all facets of the game. We're also developing a TOS backstory collectively--everyone can contribute. And we're creating bios for are characters and sharing them.

See our blog for a little bit of the developing storyline behind our fleet:
    http://sto-tos.blogspot.com/

And our website is setup so you can come aboard:

If you are over 30 then we may have a fleet for you!

We are a "mature" fleet with members from 29-60 and we all have work, home improvements and family that cut into our STO time! A balance is always good so we are a casual fleet. We are only 2 months old but we now have 30 active players and all of us are social first and game second. A really great group of people if I do say so myself ;)

We are not an ordinary fleet where you have to beg to move up in ranks we have a ranking system that is based on your in-fleet rank so if you are a Captain in game you have earned the Fleet rank of Captain. If you want to be more involved then we will make you Fleet Admiral and put you to work!

We are trying to have a variety of options so there is some Roleplay (RP) and fleet missions and player on player (pvp). For the RP we have made up a continuing background storyline where officers from the 23rd century that are about to die are scooped up and taken to the 25th century to fight in the war. We have all been working on our bios to fit that storyline (but it is not mandatory)

We all love TOS but since we are in the 25th century now we can use and play with all of the new toys and ships but nothing is more fun to us than to do a pvp all with our TOS Constellation Class or hang out in Quarks with TOS uniforms and start a fight with all of the spinoff supporters (I am talking about the show Joey;)

We started this fleet to create a relaxed place for casual or active members with an emphasis on fun and a strong social aspect. It is expected that captains may bail out of a mission to return to Starbase Mariner 10 in order to make lunches, dinner or feed the baby. To us family like is as important as the prime directive. That is a non-Kirk version of the Prime Directive!

Very few rules and everyone have a say in the direction of the fleet. We welcome all mature (30+) players. We do have one wish that all members have the TOS uniform for Fleet actions and possible a 23rd century Ship (though a love of TOS will substitute for any amount of gear) and you are familiar with our fleet backstory.

For our developing fleet background, see: http://sto-tos.blogspot.com/

We are under the philosophy that everyone had their own gifts and abilities to bring to the fleet so if you wish to be active in forming the fleet in any way please let us know. Also know that you are more than welcome to just be a part of the fleet.

    Hi all,

TOS Veterans Fleet is still new and so we're open to suggestions and ideas about how we do what we do. It's the people who join who will determine which directions we go.

We're increasing our organization but there's always room for people who want to become involved in leading the fleet. On the other hand, we're happy to have friendly members on board who just want to socialize and play STO.

Ultimately, we're hoping to find mature (30+), friendly, creative people who have an interest in classic Trek and a desire to share that interest and have fun with STO. We have a TOS theme, but can make room for a lot of creative backstories within it.

See our blog for a little bit of the developing storyline behind our fleet:

    http://sto-tos.blogspot.com/

Also, our website is now setup so you can come aboard:

Just wanted to remind any TOS fans out there that, if you're looking for a fleet, ours might be the one for you.

We're a group of mature (30+) people who are friendly, helpful Trekkers (or, for the old school among us, Trekkies). We're building a supportive community and having fun playing the game at the same time. We also have lives offline and completely understand when you need to log off to run errands, feed the baby, or attend to a spouse who doesn't totally understand what you're doing on that computer.

We've created a backstroy for the fleet that involves a bit of time travel and a bunch of creativity. If you enjoy storytelling and generating bios, we'd love your contributions. We're also running STF's and doing some internal PvP (with the possibility of PvP with other fleets to come). And a number of us are hoping to explore RP.

If you want to learn more about us, check out:

    http://tosfleet.com

To read a little of the fleet's backstory, see:

    http://sto-tos.blogspot.com/

And, as always, do not feed the Mugato.

We are honord to recive a nod from the VKF. We have always had a great deal of respect for your fleet and the fight for just causes. We know your way is to seek alliances with other Fleets to help expand coordinated gameplay for everyone while you all battle gloriously against the common enemies and emerge victorious and battle-hardened. We wold be endebeted to you if you were to share your wisdom with us for the benefit of the federation. Together we wil help to put an end to this great war!

One thing that keeps coming up in Fleet chat from new members is how friendly the Fleet is. Several of us now chat with each other outside the game too already considering this a group of friends.

If you have played the game for over than a year.... looking for something a little different..... you liked solo play so you never really thought of a fleet...... maybe start a new caracter and don't want to grind him up the levels alone...... thought about jointing a fleet but never found one that fit you..... wanted to try to meet new people in similar work and family life situations....

Look no further! The TOS Veterans Fleet is a relaxed fleet for people over 30 years young with a need to be part of a social community where you can be involved as much as you like inside and outside of the game. We are trying to cater for every playing style and we have as many experienced players as newbies.*

Please check out out website at http://www.TOSFLEET.com and look at our blog where we are outing together a storyline to try to justify why we have so many captains with 250 year old uniforms on. Surely it can't be because we can't afford some modern outfits!!*http://sto-tos.blogspot.com/

The TOS Fleet also has the TNG Veterans and the TOS Qan Mang Fleets to offer a little bit of varieaty.

Send me a pm or even just fill out an application and you will see how good a fit we are. We are more than a great fleet, we are fun to be with!!

This sounds like a GREAT fleet. I love the TOS uniforms, phasers, TOS Connie interior etc. And YES, I am 44 and remember early re-runs! What I really really want out of this game is to have a Tier 5 version of the TOS connie. I fly a soveriegn with a TOS Enterprise Interior! LOL I enjoy having my crew in TOS uniforms too, but since my connie wont do Vice Adm missions, i have them in some modern things. Does anyone know if Cryptic is ever going to allow tier 5 connies? or "Sell" weapons/consoles/bridge officer slots in the cryptic store? I'm going to look you guys up next time im on--sounds like my kind of fleet For Shore!

    Cheers!

In the year 2408 after the Klingon and Gorn invade Cestus III a Starfleet Committee chaired by Admiral Jorel Quinn passed motion to explore other options and possibilities in order to build up the Federation with commanders and ships. "We need to promote exceptional officers quickly. We need our captains leading away teams. Starfleet needs to look at our whole command structure and do what works now, not what worked 30 years ago."

A Starfleet diplomat was sent back to the late 2260's to speak with Starfleet in order to round up several possible exceptional commander candidates and as many star ships as they could refurbish from the decommissioned roster. This section 31 operation was known as Projct Christopher after the 1960's aiforce officer that was beamed aboard the USS Enterprise.

In order to not affect the time continuum the only way to choose worthy captains out of their own time and bring them to the future is to find all those that have no future. The captains must be about to die and taken from circumstances seconds before they meet their demise. They now have to accept that they have no past but have been given a new future. These are members of the ghost fleet.

The chosen captains were given ships that were pre programmed with precise calculations in order to carry out the light-speed breakaway factor to artificially-created time warp in order to time travel back to the 2408.

Once the initial five captain were sent, Starfleet would keep their eye out for any such qualified command personnel to join the fleet and to help fight the war in the future.
    You may be that commander!

Mature (30’s & 40’s & Beyond) relaxed casual fleet looking for fleet members that like The Original Series (TOS) that they don’t mind following a story line that takes them from 2269 to the future to help fight in a war that would be their future.

We are a TOS themed and retrofitted to fight in the 25th century but we need you and your enthusiasm (and a few backstories) to help us out.

Check out the new (adding more every day) website http://www.TOSFLEET.com/ and join in for a little fantasy and a lot of fun and friendship.
