Yay, now that I know where/how to get wine, I might as well ask what exactly does it do in the dungeons?
-
Ok, I agree with this. Spamming the same topic over and over is a bit annoying. On another game I played, whenever the servers went down (which was often) the entire first page of the general forums was covered in topics to the variation of "CANNNOT LOGIN??????" I must've missed the other thread(s). I generally don't come…

I don't know if you're new or not, but keep in mind that only Untamed can ride on the swan. I only say this because someone spent $100+ real life money thinking they needed to create a faction through the cash shop... not with ingame gold. b:shocked

The title tells you it's going to be the same topic you've heard over and over, why not avoid it? And this: is a perfect solution. This would only work on the ground, though. If a female wanted to take a male for a ride on her horse, she would initiate, and it would show the same animations, just with the female in…

I'm a newbie too, so I figured I'd add my own questions to the thread instead of making a new one. As for the dungeons, once you complete the quest instance, can you never enter that instance again? I heard you get an item you need to use to start the instance: does it disappear when you start the dungeon? Or when you…

It's normally a pet peeve for me if classes aren't available to all genders, but in this case I think it works out well. I wish I knew more of Chinese mythology, but from what I've heard, I think the Untamed are based off of a race of demons obsessed with power. The males were huge and monstrous, and had great physical…

Sounds like me. I played for a little over 2 years consistently and I had a lvl 75 RM and 46 Magician. In the end, the game wasn't that bad, but the little things that bugged me started to get worse and worse. The horribly unbalanced PvP wasn't fun. I never liked that monsters took forever to kill but could knock you out…

Thanks for the info. That's a shame... I always thought 1 vs. 1 duels weren't very fun. Some classes just seem to be better at killing certain other classes, so fighting each other in groups would be more fun, I think. I'm sure TW is fun, but it's just sooo far away right now.

When I first saw the title thread, I rolled my eyes, since I assumed it was someone making fun of ****, as is usually the case. I signed it, even though I doubt anything will change. I don't think our version of Perfect World will get any special treatment over the other versions, and I'm willing to bet the original…

But Untamed men do sort of look like grunting slobs to me. They look big and gruff and wild. I think that fits a barbarian pretty well. But pandas sort of fail at life. Sure, their diet consists of almost only bamboo, but they're so inefficient at digesting the stuff that they need to eat much, much more per day than if…

As much as I'd love a RP server and RP subforum, I don't think it'll happen; I doubt there will be enough interest to keep either very active. I'd rather be on a more populated PvE server instead of a RP server that has less than 200 people on it.
-
Aww, that's too bad; I'm on Oracle for the moment.
-
Beautiful website! So are you based in the MY version? I hope you guys expand to this version as well.
-
I feel the same way. Conflict is good. You can't just RP sitting around all day, there has to be an enemy... and it's much more fun if that enemy is another player and not just some faceless monster. With PvP, you can do stuff like hire body guards to safely escort you from town to town... or get into skirmishes with rival…

I really like the new names. The only one that bugs me a little bit is the blademaster, but I liked the explanation given earlier. Blades were the traditional weapon of the class, but then they branched out. Fighter or soldier would have been a better choice. Venomancer is alright... even though it doesn't make too much…

I'll most likely try to remake my PW MY character. I think it's fun to try and make the character look like me. http://i186.photobucket.com/albums/x279/Theola_Gallery/2008-08-0400-00-40.jpg

Because I still need my question answered about the in game benefits of marriage. :p
-
I'm starting my last semester of college in the fall, so I won't have time to play every single day. I'll probably end up picking one or two days out of the week where I'll play as much as want, and then do school and friend stuff the rest of the week. Online games just aren't as much fun if you can only play an hour or…
-
What exactly are the benefits to marriage? I heard something about getting a special title and outfits but that's it. And yeah, my husband doesn't roleplay, so there will be no sappy ceremony. :p
-
I'm very familiar with love, and it can be hard work to maintain. The only person I'd consider marrying in this game is my real life husband, and that's if I can get him to play.
-
I still play on Oracle, and I'll be quitting there once this version is up.
-
Ahahahahaha.... this thread is fantastic. Reading page 17 and then 18 is like deja vu.... Carlos, here's some advice: Don't trust internet people, or you will be constantly be scammed. And I really doubt you will find love on a message board, especially here. I'm not making fun of you, just trying to give you some advice.…

Yeah, I think a lot of people roleplay to some degree in online games. You don't always act as you do in real life. Some people like to play the bad guy and massacre newbies all the time, but are nice in real life, stuff like that. It doesn't require fancy language or complicated story lines to RP.
-
It's nice to see other RPers here! I would gladly join a guild if there was one. It would probably be best to make the guild on the PvE server. I sort of wish they would have left the game to be PvP servers only, because when you force both PvPers and PvEers to be on the same server, there's a nice amount of randomness and…

Don't get me wrong, I loved Guild Wars. I don't care what the other players are, and I do treat all avatars the same in game, but it does make me chuckle when you see a PVP match of 8 vs 8 and there's 14 supermodels running around and only 2 men. Correct, I am an RPer, but not the sappy romantic poetry-writing type. I knew…

That's fine, but I always found the response, "I'd rather look at a girl's butt," to be a bit of a cop-out. It's sort of like saying, "I'm sooooo manly for choosing to appear feminine that you must be **** if you chose to play as a man!" Maybe I'm reading into it a bit too much, but that's what it always sounded like to…

I don't mind guys playing as girls at all. The only thing that bothers me is when the in game community starts looking to be about 70% females. Then it's a bit ridiculous. Guild Wars had this problem. In an ancient war setting, women shouldn't be outnumbering men on the battlefield! If you're going to be authentic about…
