If you plan on being a serious pvper you'll want to have your axes/fists on hotbar, unless you plan to jump right into R9 where you only really use axes. IMO rerolling R8 axe/pole for adv purge is like trying to get GoF on nirvana axes, and rerolling R8 fists is like going for veng+int on nirvana claws, but each reroll is much more expensive. And most of us know how annoying rerolling nirvana claws can beb:shocked, which is why I think I'll just be sticking to my G13s.

I have noticed what you said about the second build having more +mdef%. It changes with both sides having cleric buffs+mag marrow, the Matchless build having 1% extra phy while Lunar having 1% extra mag, evening them out. Though those misses are annoying, I wouldn't say its work sharding ambers over garnets, since garnets work on the other 8 classes just fine.
