I have windows Me, I just removed the all pwi stuff and I have 13.GM free and I'm going to re-download and install again, is there anything else i should be watching for or doing?

so what will i be looking for when i check the display drivers? what is it I need. And how do I check them?...Sorry if this a dumb question. I'm really new to linux, and I was never that computer savey to begin with..lol. So any detailed help you can give me would be great.
