What am I doing wrong?

Hi

I just download PW thru Wine/Linux/kubuntu.. Everything in the download and install was fine. But now when I start the game to play, I log in..then I crash. Is this a linux problem? HELP!! I really would like to play this game

    i donno, try run it as administrator, might be ur firewall or somthing bloking it

    Linux doesn't have 'administrator', and you shouldn't need root or superuser access to run... well, nearly anything.

    Perfect World Entertainment does not officially support *nix systems. My first guess is that you need to check your display drivers -- the default drivers in *nix systems are open source but nowhere near as powerful as the restricted closed source drivers.

    so what will i be looking for when i check the display drivers? what is it I need. And how do I check them?...Sorry if this a dumb question. I'm really new to linux, and I was never that computer savey to begin with..lol. So any detailed help you can give me would be great.

    I've honestly never used ubuntu, so I dunno. I'd recommend trying the steps listed here.
