I have tried twice to install pwi, the first time the installation failed because is said I didn't have enough space. I fixed that. This time it says " failed to create c:/prgramfiles/perfectworld etc etc folder" Why is this? what am I doing wrong and how do i fix it. It takes hours and hours (8 to be exact) to download this game and install it. I don't want to have to wait another 8hr to see the same error message PLEASE HELP!!!!! what do I do?

If you're running Microsoft Windows Vista or Seven, please run the install.exe file As Administrator (it should be at your Documents\Downloads folder). In other Windows operating systems, make sure you have enough spare hard drive space -- the installer needs a good 5-6 gigabytes.

Do you have write access (usually an Administrator or User level account)? Limited User level accounts might have problems writing to Program Files.

I'm not sure what you mean by administrator user account?

In Windows 98 and Windows ME, all users are technically Administrator-level accounts (ooutside of special cases, in some versions), but it is sometimes possible to set your account without write access to specific folders. It takes a rather large amount of work -- I mostly ask because WinXP users are much more likely to have this problem -- so if you're not sure, simply trying to create a new text document in the C:\Program Files directory is enough of a test; if you have write permissions, you'll be able to create the file.

Another worthwhile test would be to make sure the downloaded file was not corrupted mid-transmission. I've got a decent overview on how to check the downloaded Perfect_World_International.exe file here.

Finally, you may need to contact Support Ticketing. WinME is a bit outside my level of experience, and the support ticketing team has a lot more experience with the matter than I do.
