All you can do is the manual patches. If your game version is below 40X, though, you are out of luck, since there are no patches before then.

If you have game version 515 or 551, go to the download page and download the manual updater for your version. Otherwise, there is a sticky that goes back to around game version 40X.

The updates unfortunately don't go that far back anymore, so you are most likely out of luck until the update server is fixed.

There are 2 possibilities that I can think of. One is someone hijacked your account and the other is your account was banned. If you have one of the other PWE games, try logging into one of them and see if it lets you.

If you have game version 515 or 551, download the manual patch from the download page. Older versions can be found in the stickied topic here about updates. It just seems to be the update server itself. The manual updates work fine.

On the Harshland Server, at least, I was only able to complete the quest by going to the Banker in the Thousand Streams. No other Banker would take it.
