Almost everyone at PWE has been pretty busy with trying to get the new forums off the ground - give them some time to get things settled here.

To say it needs the API to run is a bit of an exaggeration. While having the API enabled would make it easier, @nrglg has figured out how to make it work without the API. The amount of work it will take is the only issue, and that's up to @asterelle as to how much work they want to put into it to get it running here.

Yeah, it's not consistently a problem with everyone. Some people get to use BBCode with no trouble whatsoever, while others have to use workarounds to get their signatures to work. It's kinda ridiculous, to be honest.

Unless you also have the general forum category (where the forum bugs, suggestions, etc. are posted) unhidden. Then you get posts from that category as well. It's just a bit of a mess at the moment - we'll see how it is when they're actually done.

They're working with Vanilla to get a lot of features fixed. I'm not sure if "New" is going to be an option on the forums, though - the "Discussions" tab appears to be the feature closest to it, but it includes all posts from the entire forum.

Some people are unable to use the images/colors in their sigs right now, but just to verify: You used the Add Image button, and didn't try to just do the code yourself? Sometimes things like that are the difference between it working and not working.
