  • You can start going there at level 40.
  • I pulled the following information from various websites/webpages so I'm not sure if I may have left something out, but as far as I now the descriptions are pretty accurate. Though I'm not really sure what it means for the Pounce skill when it says "Stun Enemy or Increase Attack Rate," as if it can do one, the other, or…
  • All of the skills relating to your pet, ie: pet heal, pet tame, pet resurrection are from a different trainer altogether. You're attack/buff/debuff skills are learned at the Venomancer Trainer, whereas all your pet related skills are learned from the Pet Skill Trainer. b:bye
  • This is a great place to go for the kind of information you're looking for. http://snowbloom.110mb.com/ b:victory
  • Shadou Cubs tank magic just as well as the Tree Frog does because of it's increased health and bests the Tree Frog in physical tanking. It's an overall better all round pet than the frog as lots of monsters later in the game attack with a combination of magic and physical damage.b:victory
  • Actually second place as far as magic defense goes to the Carapest Terror. http://pwi-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?t=122111 b:victory
  • What makes your Carapest a pain to level during grinding? I'm just curious as if a Carapest Terror is too annoying to level 60+ I might go with a different magic pet altogether. With the alternatives being an Oddfoot Pup or Antelope Pup, anyone have side by side stats between an Oddfoot Pup and Antelope Pup by any chance?…
  • The level 5 turtles are a little bit troublesome to level up at early levels, and can be found in bodies of water near any of the starter cities. While being a bit of a pain to level at first, once you get it to about level 30, the effort of leveling it from the ground up starts to pay off. A lot of Venos don't recommend…
  • I'll take the Hepastral. b:thanks
  • Unfortunately I've tried that with an Inferior Cactopod and got the same results, with it not kiting the monsters at all. Does loyalty have any bearing on how the Cactopod behaves in combat?
  • Now does it only kite it's target when it's in assist mode, manual mode, or defend mode? At first I figured maybe the behavior during combat might have been a little different with varying Cactopods. I even went and grabbed an Inferior Cactopod myself with the same results, it just ends up tanking whatever mob I happen to…
  • Thanks for the responses everyone. b:victory Well so far it appears that Gali's Cactopod and Acrimonic Cactopods (both start at level 13) have a different behavior pattern altogether. They actually try to tank regardless of whether their special attacks are on auto. Kind of odd really, guess I'll experiment with other…

  • I ask as I'm considering leveling a Gali's Cactopod up to 41, sure it won't be quite as fast as an Eldergoth Marksman, but I was thinking it would serve as a comparable lure pet with it's special attacks off. It would also make a great pet for slowing and kiting monsters and bosses outside of dungeons too I would think,…
  • Does anyone use a cactopod as a lure pet as opposed to an Eldergoth Marksman? I'm curious as well. Is it feasible to level up a cactopod as a ranged lure pet as opposed to just getting an Eldergoth Marksman like many other Venos?b:thanks
