  • hello all, I have been using gush as opener for many levels now. I always thought I was weird, because I rarely use sandstorm... The following is my favorite combo: gush -> pyro -> gush -> force-of-will -> gush -> pyro -> gush Obviously I don't use this on Water Mobs... The reasons I use these: - the range is far. all…
  • ... Assuming we are talking about arcane armor. At 67 I only saw one physical ranged mob (required for quest) so far. Rattus Cadaverist. To be very honest... why bother spending money on gear on PVE-server in your 60s? In your 60s most mobs can be killed, without being hit. I always try to wear armor with +x magic points.…
  • thanks, Rule. As I'm not yet 75 (for SS) or 85 (for GS), they aren't maxed yet. But I will give it a try.
  • I'm a pure wiz and the following combo is strange but quick. gush, pyro, gush, force-of-will, gush, pyro, gush I also use it to quickly pull away mobs from BM I work with. It kills all non-water-mobs on same level and metal mobs 4 levels higher. For water-mobs I use: Stone Rain, pyro, force of will, Stone Rain, pyro, gush…
  • Put at least 1 strength per 2 levels in, to equip the most up-to-date weapon for your level Optimeau
  • hello. If you put in 3 mag per 2 levels (as I understand from your post), you will definately lack: - MP - Magic attack; I suggest to stick to 1 of the 2 basic builds: - Light armor (to have more phys def and crits), per 2 levels: 6 mag, 2 dex, 2 str; - Pure/Arcane armor (to have more MP/Magic attack/Magic defense), per 2…
  • more tips: - use stone rain (if maxed) as starter; - use will of the phoenix on melee mobs to knock mob away; - use Force of Will (after lvl49) to "knock" mob away; Just make sure you time these correctly :-) cheers, Optimeau
  • erich, what is your level and build (arcane/light)? Optimeau
  • There is no such thing as one class being better than another one. All classes are good. In a group, squad, faction, all classes are needed. And people will often choose a class which matches their personality. I like the wiz class because it offers a challenge, and there are not that many wizards. cheers, Optimeau
  • to encourage you a bit :-) - at lvl29, get distance shrink, it saves you blue fingers by keeping 's' (for kiting) pressed all the time; - at lvl39, get Will of the Phoenix, it pushes back a mob; - at lvl49, get Force of Will, it 'stuns' a mob and let it run away for a bit; ... Yes. Wizards are difficult to solo, but it…
  • yes. In FB, if you notice that cleric gets attacked, use FoW on the attacking mob and hope that you get away alive... Otherwise, there is still a cleric to ress you:-)
  • kill Kashu, Fugma and Omni first. Then visit Heaven's Tear. Then you should get next Culti Level and quest for Luminoc (lvl59 cultivation).
  • I agree with Armour. It's harder, but it makes the game a game, and not a race to lvl100... It requires patience and some basic tactics... i.e. not charging into a group of swarmed mobs. Personally I love Force-of-Will lvl49+ (for melee mobs in combination with will-of-the-phoenix). It allows me to make combos, where I can…
  • hi blue, how did you allocate points? I don't know in which situations you have been, but I remember that I did use a lot of kiting (pressing s to run backwards). If you have low defense, get used to a lot of running, until you get distance shrink (to leap), will of phoenix (to push back), and force-of-will (to "confuse")…
  • Great guide. I used it from lvl1. I have no experience with PVP, but I know one thing is key the earlier levels, Kite! 2 skills that can keep you alive, but which I didn't level up (yet) Distance Shrink comes in at lvl29. I used it a lot to have mobs cancel their spell. it requires some excercise and timing though. Will of…
