Extra bonuses are never affected by refining (as you saw). The type of item determines what is increased (and level of item/level of refining determines by how much). You can take a look at pwdatabase to see what refining will get you

I believe most laptop touchpads use the right edge of the pad as a 'mouse wheel' - it's not the most convenient (I use a laptop myself) but does work ... If your laptop doesn't do that, then I have no idea ...
-
Check here: C:\Program Files\Perfect World Entertainment\Perfect World International\element\screenshots (of course first part may be different if you installed it somewhere else ... but I believe that's the default)

Actually, most buffs do let you rebuff at any time ... but yes, it doesn't work for Blazing Arrow (or Cleric's Magic Shell). I'd really classify it as a bug.
-
Yes, flying up a bit is usually safe. Another thing you can try is exit to main menu (character selection screen) - really a lot like what you're talking about ... you're removed from the game, but still logged in. Only problem is you can't exit while in combat mode (even if you've killed the mob you were attacking ...).…

I'd try the Venomancer forum (start by reading the stickies at the top): http://pwi-forum.perfectworld.com/forumdisplay.php?f=13

(Bolding mine) You seem to have missed the point entirely ... try that again without the clicking :P
-
Sorry, no ... once equiped, they're there until used up or replaced
-
Same here ... and really, I'd prefer to leave it that way. We don't need any more 'tools' taking up space in our inventory. Plus after you get through the lower levels, it's not like you need to make a new piece of equipment very often ... and you'll always be going through a town periodically regardless ... so really…
-
That's just the way the tell you that you lost :P And it doesn't care that you were outbid by yourself ... your first bid lost so that's an 'error'. Also, just note that if you're outbid just before the auction ends, an extra 20min is added to the auction time. So you don't have to worry about being outbid in the last few…

Apparently you haven't read the new sticky ... Now, he doesn't come right out and say that they're going to add new skills ... but it's certainly implied. Admitedly, if it's just at the suggestions stage, it'll likely be months at least before we see anything. And yes, if I'm still playing by then, new low/mid level skills…

Element Powder is useless - just NPC it Element Dust is a DQ (Dragon Quest) item - Needed for the Banker quest to upgrade your Bank storage - Needed if you want to do Dragon Quest - Otherwise, NPC or sell it Celestone fragments are 'combined' via quests from the Gem Merchant into Mirage Celestones - which in turn are used…
-
And apparently you weren't even reading very closely to there, because it seems you completely missed the part where I said low/mid level skills ... I'm not talking about high levels here where I know you have the SP to get any skill you want.
-
While I agree giving us 'something to shoot for' is nice, it doesn't have the same thrill as giving us something we can try out right away. I'm not saying there shouldn't be new high level skills ... I think ideally there'd be both. Though of course I have no idea how many skills they're considering adding. I also seem to…
-
I agree it can be a good thing ... but I think too much of it can be bad. Honestly though, I could go either way from that respect - but this is also a way to add low/mid level skills while still giving high level players a way to improve (of course can also add some high level skills too). Of course if you also increase…

You Craft at the same place you buy ... So Weapons are crafted at the Blacksmith Armour at the Tailor Ornaments at the Craftsman Potions at the Apothecary The one oddity is that Ammo is bought at the Blacksmith but crafted at the Craftsman ... also, the Potions you can make with Apoth are completely different from the ones…

When it comes to stacking, I've found the rule of thumb is: Affects that last for minutes do NOT stack Affects that last for seconds DO stack For example, while all my Buffs do not stack, I've verified that Ironheart Blessing (HoT) and Thunderball (DoT) both stack. Can't say if it holds true for everything though.

I agree with Hildeborg, but with one exception ... if you want to max your safe inventory, it's better to just sell the mats and buy a Super Safe stone. But as for the real issue ... my advise is just wait a bit. I noticed with extending my inventory (unfortunately did this BEFORE the super stones were made available :()…

I don't envy the GM's having to read through this entire thread ... :P I started, but have to admit I started to skim and eventually just skipped to the end ... so sorry if I'm repeating anything. Anyway, agree with others that some kind of speed boost for Cleric's would be nice. Something else I've thought is that…

I'm going from memory here, so bear with me :P - Open Skills window - at the bottom is space for your macros. - Click on the 'New' button to open the macro window. - Drag your skills into the top portion in the order that you want to use them. - Select an icon to use from the bottom part - Click on 'Save' - It'll now show…
-
Actually, the 'Cancel Bid' button isn't completely useless :P When you bid on something, it gets listed in the 'My Bids' tab. If someone overbids you, it remains on that tab but greyed out. Which makes it convenient if you want to up your bid ... however, if you don't you can then click 'Cancel Bid' to remove it from the…

Thanks for the response - I know about Socket Stones, just using that as an example. i.e: If it took 50 Dragon Orbs to ensure success, then 3-4 failures without wouldn't be a big deal ... But from your response I gather I just need 1 Dragon Orb? Then I'll definitely go that route!

It's called forcing you to spend more money ;) But yes, I'd like that option too. I'd also like to be able to adjust when the charm kicks in (i.e: instead of 50% for HP and 75% for MP, set it to the level you want). In affect you could avoid wasting it after a res by setting it to say 9% (since you're res'd with 10%, it…
-
Because you can make a LOT more money that way of course :P To make the AH viable, it has to be profitable. 10-20% fee up front, AND a further 10% on sale? That's ridiculous - it's like they WANT players to setup their own shops ... though I can't see how that benefits PWI at all (just increases bandwidth from all those…
-
No, they don't compare to Apothecary powders ... but it's still a heck of a lot better than nothing. I level mine slowly, but always use it. BUT - the one thing you do need to be aware of is they override each other. If someone's using Life Powder (+50HP/s) and you buff them, you just dropped their bonus regen to maybe…
-
Ahhh ... thanks, good to know! Guess that's worth a bit a pain :P
-
Too high for me :P But I'd suggest checking here Wanted to ask though ... why are flying mobs considered the best? I'm just starting in to the grinding levels, and personally I find flying mobs a pain (maybe that's just because I'm playing on a laptop ...). Plus, fighting on the ground I can collect mats at the same time.…
-
Yes, as stated above - mobs are strong against their own element. I don't remember exactly, but Metal spells would do something like 1/2 or 2/3 damage against Metal mobs. Though, as you said ... just use Plume Shot and you're fine (unless this was really high level players talking, where Plume isn't nearly as strong as…
-
Yes ... I'll take survival over conserving MP anyday :P At least with a FAC, you have the option ... with a Wizard, all you can really do is run ... Vanguard Spirit is very important - your Physical defense is very low, and this will boost if for 30min. What isn't important is Magic Shell - you already have great Magic…
-
Personally, I didn't go FAC to deal the most damage - I did it because it's more versatile. A FAC can stand up to 2 or 3 mobs going aggro on them just by stacking Ironheart's ... try doing that with a Wizard :O Being able to buff yourself helps as well. (You may note both of those points are moot if you play in a squad ...…
